From There and There

And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles; Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew, Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor. And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases; And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed. And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.-Luke 6:12-19***When Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was preaching, teaching and performing miracles among the Israelites, many disciples were following Jesus. However, most of them left shortly after a miraculous feeding event and a revelatory teaching lesson. Another disciple, Judas Iscariot, left to betray Jesus when Jesus was with his disciples at their Last Supper together. The 11 remaining disciples left after Judas Iscariot arrived with the armed group that arrested Jesus. Paul (Saul) was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. Sometime after Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven, Paul began a journey to the synagogues in Damascus. Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them, and Paul heard the voice of the Jesus speaking to him. Paul spoke to Jesus, and obeyed Jesus, and in Damascus Paul was baptized. From thenceforward, Paul the apostle journeyed and wrote divinely inspired letters, teaching Israelites and Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes, the good news of Jesus the Christ and everlasting life.
