If - Then

Statutes the Lord God gave Moses
for the Israelites, the descendants of
Isaac and Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest
fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel):

And Moses spake unto the heads of the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded. If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth. If a woman also vow a vow unto the LORD, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father's house in her youth; and her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand. But if her father disallow her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the LORD shall forgive her, because her father disallowed her. And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered aught out of her lips, wherewith she bound her soul; and her husband heard it, and held his peace at her in the day that he heard it; then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound her soul shall stand. But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and the LORD shall forgive her. But every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, wherewith they have bound their souls, shall stand against her. And if she vowed in her husband's house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath; and her husband heard it, and held his peace at her and disallowed her not: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she bound her soul shall stand. But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and the LORD shall forgive her. Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.  But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day; then he establisheth all her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he confirmeth them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard them. But if he shall any ways make them void after that he hath heard them; then he shall bear her iniquity. These are the statutes, which the LORD commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between the father and his daughter, being yet in her youth in her father's house.-Numbers 30:1-16/the complete chapter

One More Thing

and some Pharisees:

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail. Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.-Luke 16:10-18

It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.-Matthew 5:31-32

And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?-Matthew 11:7...For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.-Matthew 11:13

And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;-Matthew 19:1...He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.-Matthew 19:8-9

And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.-Mark 10:5...And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter. And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.-Mark 10:11-12

Offerings Without the Beg and Plead

The words spoken by King David,
the 2nd king to reign over all of
the Israelites in the Promised Land:

Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the LORD God. Now I have prepared with my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance. Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal: The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD? Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king's work, offered willingly, And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron. And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of the LORD, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite. Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.-1 Chronicles 29:1-29

And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: and the LORD loved him.-2 Samuel 12:24

And Bathsheba bowed, and did obeisance unto the king. And the king said, What wouldest thou? And she said unto him, My lord, thou swarest by the LORD thy God unto thine handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne.-1 Kings 1:16-17

A Great Ol' Wealthy Person, so Great and Wealthy

From a letter written by the apostle Paul (Saul)
to Timothy (Timotheus):

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; that they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.-1 Timothy 6:17-21***David was an Israelite from the tribe of Judah. David spent the earliest part of his life herding sheep for his elderly father Jesse, and spent the last 40 years of his life as king. When David was 30 years old, he began reigning only over the tribe of Judah in the Promised Land. When David was years 37 1/2 years old, he became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites in the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. David used the wealth he accumulated to fund the temple of the Lord God that was going to be built by his son and successor Solomon. Solomon was the 2nd son born to David and Bathsheba, and Solomon was the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to reign. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city, and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city, and Jeroboam, a former project supervisor, was the 1st king to reign. During the reign of King Hoshea, the 19th king to reign over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel, the Assyrians conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Less than 150 years after Samaria was conquered, the Babylonians  (Chaldeans) invaded Judah and conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. The Babylonians looted and burned the temple of the Lord God. Decades thereafter, King Artaxerxes, ruler of the Persian Empire, permitted his Israelite cupbearer Nehemiah to go to Jerusalem and build the wall and gates of the city. The Israelites had already built a new temple in Jerusalem. After arriving, Nehemiah regularly provided meals for at least 150 people at his own expense and table. Over 400 years after the wall was built, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Less than 33 1/2 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was betrayed, arrestedcrucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven. Paul (Saul) was an  Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin. Initially, Paul persecuted and imprisoned Israelites who believed Jesus to be the Christ. However, after Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them, and Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, Paul spoke to Jesus, and obeyed Jesus. In Damascus, Paul was baptized. From thenceforward, the journeys of Paul the apostle were to serve the Lord. Timothy (Timotheus) was born to Eunice, an Israelite, and a father who was not an Israelite. Sometime after Timothy and Paul met, Paul circumcised Timothy. Paul and Timothy journeyed together and taught the good news of Jesus the Christ and everlasting life to Israelites and Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes. Moreover, Paul wrote at least 2 divinely inspired letters to Timothy.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 8:1-40, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Jeremiah 39:1-18, 52:1-34, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 6:1-8:4, 9:1-31, 11:19-28:31, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy

Do the Do's and Don't the Don'ts

In the desert wilderness of Sinai,
in the region of Mount Sinai,
Moses and his fellow Israelites
hear the voice of the Lord God
proclaim the Ten Commandments:

Exodus Chapter 20

1.And God spake all these words, saying,
2.I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3.Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4.Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5.Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting  the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6.And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

7.Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

8.Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9.Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10.But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11.For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

12.Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

13.Thou shalt not kill.

14.Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15.Thou shalt not steal.

16.Thou shalt nor bear false witness against thy neighbour.

17.Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was. And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven. Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold. An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee. And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it. Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.-Exodus 20:18-26/the complete chapter

For One or More Reasons

John the Baptist is imprisoned:

Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. And now also the ax is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then? He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise. Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do? And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you. And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages. And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not; John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable. And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people. But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done, added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.-Luke 3:7-20***Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) was a friend of God. Over 2,000 years before John the Baptist mentioned Abraham to a multitude of listeners, Abraham left his home in Ur in southern Mesopotamia to come into the land that the Lord God said he would be shown. Abraham, his wife Sarah (Sarai), their father Terah, and nephew Lot left Ur together. Isaac was born to Abraham and Sarah when Abraham, Sarah and Lot were living in Canaan. When Isaac was 40 years old, he married Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's great-niece. When Isaac was 60 years old, fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Isaac and Rebekah. The Lord God gave the entire Mount Seir region to the Edomites, Esau's descendants. The Lord God gave Canaan, the Promised Land, to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants the Israelites. Jacob married Rebekah's nieces Leah and Rachel. Six sons and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Two sons were born to Jacob and Rachel. Two sons were born to Jacob and maidservant Bilhah, and 2 sons were born to Jacob and maidservant Zilpah. The 12 sons are the forefathers of the 12 tribes of Israel. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them. Over 1,400 years after Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. Months after John the Baptist was born, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Nine months before Jesus was born, Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb when Mary was a virgin. The publicans were tax and toll collectors who worked on behalf of the Roman Empire. The Romans ruled the land whereupon the kingdoms of the Israelites previously stood upon the Promised Land. Herod Antipas the tetrarch governed Galilee for the Romans, and the soldiers worked under the authority of the Roman Empire.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles,  Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

For If You Do

From a letter written by Simon Peter,
the disciple and apostle of
to believers everywhere:

Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of this divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fail: for so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.-2 Peter 1:1-11

The Face is the Place

When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou; and when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them: neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son. For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly. But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire. For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: but because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto you fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; and repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face. Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.-Deuteronomy 7:1-11***Miriam was the older sister of Aaron and Moses. Miriam died in Kadesh in the desert wilderness of Zin. After 123-year-old Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, Moses began proclaiming his final messages to the Israelites. Moses identified the nations that the Israelites were to destroy and repeated the commands that the Lord God gave regarding marriage to anyone from those nations. Moses described and gave details of the relationship between the Lord God and Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), Isaac, and Jacob (Israel), the ancestors of the Israelites. The ancestral line of the Perizzites is not specifically revealed in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible. The Canaanites, Girgashites, Amorites, Hivites, and Jebusites descended from Canaan. Canaan was the son of Ham, and Ham was the son of Noah the ark builder. The Hittites were also descendants of Canaan. In some verses of the Holy Bible, the Hittites are referred to as the sons, daughters, or children of HethWhen Moses was 120 years old, he went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Over 1,300 years after Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 12:1-16, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Marital Picks

And the children of Israel dwelt among the Canaanites, Hittites, and Amorites, and Perizzites, and Hivites, and Jebusites: and they took their daughters to be their wives, and gave their daughters to their sons, and served their gods. And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and forgat the LORD their God, and served Baalim and the groves. Therefore the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Chushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Chushan-rishathaim eight years. And when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother. And the spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the LORD delivered Chushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushan-rishathaim. And the land had rest forty years. And Othniel the son of Kenaz died. And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of the LORD. And he gathered unto him the children of Ammon and Amalek, and went and smote Israel, and possessed the city of palm trees. So the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.-Judges 3:5-14***When the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt, the Lord God spoke to Moses regarding the outcries and pain of the Israelites. The Lord God told Moses that he was going to deliver the Israelites from the Egyptians and bring the Israelites to the land of milk and honey that was inhabited by the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Moses and his older brother Aaron led their fellow Israelites away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness towards Canaan, the Promised Land. Over 400 years before Aaron and Moses were born into the tribe of Levi, the Lord God promised to give Canaan to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. When the Israelites were camped in Kadesh Barnea in the desert wilderness of Paran, the Lord God told Moses to send 1 man from each of the Israelite tribes to search Canaan. The Israelites also wanted Moses to send men into the land. The 12 spies returned with good news of Canaan and the fruit that grew in the land, and frightening news of the Anakim, Amalekites, Hittites, Jebusites, Amorites, and Canaanites. Only Caleb, from the tribe of Judah, and Joshua, from the tribe of Ephraim, foresaw victory. During the 40th year of the journey, 123-year-old Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor. Before 120-year-old Moses went upon Mount Nebo, saw the Promised Land, died, and was divinely buried, Moses proclaimed final messages to the Israelites, recounting their history, and the commandments, judgments, statutes, and laws that the Lord God gave for the Israelites, including commandments regarding idolatry and marriage. Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land. Before 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, he proclaimed final messages to the Israelites. Repeatedly, the Israelites disobeyed the commands of the Lord God, particularly if there was no judge leading them. Othniel the judge was closely related to Caleb. Over 1,000 years after Samuel, the priest and prophet from the tribe of Levi was the last faithful judge and Saul, from the tribe of Benjamin, became the 1st king to rule the Israelites in the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 13:1-14:45, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 4:1-23, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, 8:1-40, 9:34-44, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

See for Yourselves

And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people. Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother. And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people. And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about. And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things. And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.-Luke 7:11-23***The disciples of John the Baptist saw that the disciples of Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, did not fast. The disciples of John the Baptist also knew that there were people being baptized in addition to those being baptized by John the Baptist. After the disciples of John the Baptist spoke to him about Jesus and the activities associated with Jesus, 2 of the disciples of John the Baptist were sent to question Jesus the Christ. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that sometime thereafter, John the Baptist was beheaded, and Jesus was betrayed by the disciple and apostle Judas Iscariot, and Jesus was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Which One

And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, and said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him. But he said, I am he. Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened? He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight. Then said they unto him, Where is he. He said, I know not.-John 9:1-12***Aaron and his younger brother  Moses were  Israelites from the tribe of Levi. After the Lord God told Moses that he was sending Moses to speak to Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and to the Israelite elders, and Moses spoke to the Lord God, the Lord God questioned Moses regarding the mute, the deaf, the sighted, and the blind. Over 1,400 years after Moses and Aaron led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the Israelite tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. The Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus, and the Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. For 40 days Jesus fasted and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and Jesus went to Galilee. Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. When John the Baptist was in prison, John the Baptist sent 2 of his disciples to question Jesus. Within an hour, the 2 disciples of John the Baptist witnessed a multitude of miraculous healings, including sight being given to the blind. Jesus told the 2 disciples to describe to John the Baptist all that they heard and witnessed, revealing that those who had been lame could walk, those who had been leprous were cleansed, those who had been deaf could hear, and those who had been dead were alive. When Jesus was in Jerusalem with his disciples, they saw Jesus perform a miraculous work on behalf of a man who had never seen anything.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
