Tell a Fella

And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast: The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus. Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.-John 12:20-22***Before Moses and his older brother Aaron led their fellow Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, the Lord God gave Moses commands for the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The Lord God told Moses that a 1-year-old male lamb or goat must be killed for each household, and bread baked without yeast must be eaten for 7 days, beginning the 1st evening of Passover. Over 1,400 years after the Israelites applied the blood of a lamb or goat to their doorposts and the Lord God passed over their homes,  Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men,  including Philip and Andrew, to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. In Bethsaida, some Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes, were in Jerusalem during Passover Week and spoke to Philip, the disciple and apostle of Jesus the Christ.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus 23:1-8, Numbers 9:1-14, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 16:1-8, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Grateful Living

Psalm 145

I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts; and I will declare thy greatness. They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness. The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The LORD is good to all; and his tender mercies are over all his works. All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season. Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all his ways and holy in all his works. The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them. The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy. My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.-Psalm 145:1-21/the complete psalm

Technically Speaking

Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done. And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing? And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place: and they will slay me for my wife's sake. And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.-Genesis 20:9-12***In southern Mesopotamia, in Ur, the Lord God appeared to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and told Abraham to depart from his country and kin and come into the land he would be shown. Abraham, his wife Sarah (Sarai), their father Terah, and nephew Lot journeyed to Haran in northern Mesopotamia. Sometime after 205-year-old Terah died in Haran, Abraham, Sarah and Lot moved with their servants and possessions to Canaan, and the Lord God promised to give Canaan to Abraham's descendants and Abraham. During a time of famine in Canaan, Abraham, Sarah and Lot journeyed to Egypt and returned to Canaan. The amount of livestock and goods owned by Abraham and Lot caused problems and led Abraham to suggest that they live in separate regions. Lot moved eastward, and Abraham eventually moved farther away. King Abimelech, the Philistine the ruler of Gerar, took Sarah without knowing Sarah was a married woman. After the Lord God appeared to Abimelech in a dream, Abimelech spoke to Abraham. When Abraham was 100 years old, Isaac was born to Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah. When Isaac was 40 years old, he married Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece. When Isaac was 60 years old, fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Isaac and Rebekah. Decades thereafter, Jacob married Rebekah's nieces Leah and Rachel. Over 1,900 years after Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah was born, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 6:1-8:4

Form a Line

Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.-John 8:1-7***Miriam, her younger brothers Aaron and Moses, and their fellow Israelites descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel). In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them. Shortly thereafter, the Lord God began giving Moses judgments, statutes and laws for the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. The Lord God commanded that if a man committed adultery with his neighbor's wife or any other man's wife, both adulterers were to be killed. A bull or ox that gored a person to death was to be pelted with stones, and sometimes the animal's owner was to be killed. Mediums, wizards, idol worshipers, those inviting others to worship idols, parents who sacrificed their offspring to idols, and people who blasphemed the name of the Lord, worked on the Sabbath day, worshiped the sun, moon, or anything in the sky, and any rebellious sons were to be stoned to death. If a daughter entered into a marriage purporting to be a virgin, although it was discovered that she was not a virgin, she was to be stoned to death. During the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron died and was buried. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Over 1,300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, including Pharisees and scribes. Jesus revealed that the law and the prophets were until John the Baptist. From thenceforward, the kingdom of God is preached, and Jesus had come to fulfill the law.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus 20:1-27, 24:10-23, Numbers 15:32-36, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 13:1-18, 17:2-7, 21:18-21, 22:13-30, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

A Long Way Away

And when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done unto Jericho and to Ai, They did work wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine bottles, old, and rent, and bound up; And old shoes and clouted upon their feet, and old garments upon them; and all the bread of their provision was dry and mouldy. And they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men of Israel, We be come from a far country: now therefore make ye a league with us. And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you? And they said unto Joshua, We are thy servants. And Joshua said unto them, Who are ye? and from whence come ye? And they said unto him, From a very far country thy servants are come because of the name of the LORD thy God: for we have heard the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt,-Joshua 9:3-9***The Amorites and Hivites descended from Noah the ark builder, and Noah's son Ham, and Ham's son Canaan. The Israelites descended from Noah's son Shem, Shem's great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Terah, Terah's children Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), their son Isaac and his wife Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel). The Moabites descended from Terah's son Haran, Haran's son Lot and Lot's oldest daughter, and their son Moab. When King Balak, ruler of the Moabites, learned that the Israelites had defeated the Amorites, Balak sent delegates to fetch Balaam, a known diviner. Balak wanted Balaam to pronounce a curse on the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Joshua was an Israelite from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, their firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Sometime after Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, idol worshiping kings living throughout the land heard of the victories of the Israelites. The kings heard that the wall around Jericho collapsed before an attack by the Israelites, and the Israelites killed the people and animals in Jericho, and burned Jericho, and burned Ai, and killed the people within Ai. Thus, the kings united to defeat the Israelites. The Hivites from Gibeon, the Gibeonites, developed a plan to outwit the Israelites. Over 1,375 years after the 5 kings united to attack Gibeon, and Joshua and the Israelites defeated the kings and their armies, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Judah was the 4th son born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 21:1-24:25, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 7:1-26, 20:1-20, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee. Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.-Exodus 23:31-32

When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou; And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:-Deuteronomy 7:1-2

There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, save the Hivites the inhabitants of Gibeon: all other they took in battle.-Joshua 11:19

Which One

The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him, Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother. Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh. And last of all the woman died also. Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.-Matthew 22:23-28***When Moses and his older brother Aaron and their fellow Israelites were in the desert wilderness of Sinai, they heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them, and there was no sect of Sadducees or Pharisees among the Israelites. When the Lord God was giving Moses judgments, statutes and laws for the Israelites, there were no Sadducees or Pharisees among the Israelites. After Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, there were no Sadducees or Pharisees among the Israelites. After Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, and the Israelites lived under the leadership of elders, judges, their own minds, and kings, there were no Pharisees or Sadducees among the Israelites. The priests  were to teach the Israelites, and the priests and elders were to read the words in the Book of the Covenant  (Book the Law) to the Israelites and those living within their midst. King Jehoshaphat was the 4th king to rule Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land. Jehoshaphat sent prominent officials, priests, and other Levites from the tribe of Levi to teach throughout Judah. Over 800 years after Jehoshaphat's son Joram (Jehoram) became the 5th king to rule Judah, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah, the birth tribe of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Before and after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, the Sadducees were known as the group that believed angels, spirit and resurrection did not exist. Meanwhile, the Pharisees were known for strictly obeying the laws that the Lord God gave to Moses for the Israelites, and strictly obeying the traditions passed down by the Israelite elders. Jesus proclaimed the Sadducees and Pharisees to be hypocrites.-Genesis 11:27-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus 8:1-10:20, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 33:1-34:12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 23:1-11

Reference Scriptures:
If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband's brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband's brother unto her. And it shall be, that the firstborn which she beareth shall succeed in the name of his brother which is dead, that his name be not put out of Israel.-Deuteronomy 25:5-6

No Telling What Because They're So Corrupt

Then the LORD said to Moses, "Leave this place, you and the people you brought up out of Egypt, and go up to the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, saying, 'I will give it to your descendants.' I will send an angel before you and drive out the Canaanites, Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. Go up to the land flowing with milk and honey. But I will not go with you, because you are a stiff-necked people and I might destroy you on the way." When the people heard these distressing words, they began to mourn and no one put on any ornaments. For the LORD had said to Moses, "Tell the Israelites, 'You are a stiff-necked people. If I were to go with you even for a moment, I might destroy you. Now take off your ornaments and I will decide what to do with you.'" So the Israelites stripped off their ornaments at Mount Horeb.-Exodus 33:1-6(NIV)***The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that over 1,500 years after the Lord God created Adam, the 1st man, and made Adam's wife Eve after taking a part out of Adam, Adam and Eve's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Noah the ark builder was born. When Noah was 600 years old, he entered the ark with his wife, their sons Shem, Ham and Japheth, and each sons' wife, and a specific amount of creatures. The Lord God brought a flood of waters upon the earth, and the rest of mankind was destroyed. When Noah and his wife's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) was 99 years old, the Lord God spoke of Sodom to Abraham, and Abraham spoke to the Lord God of any righteous people in Sodom. Afterwards, the Lord God destroyed Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboim, their inhabitants, and the surrounding region. When Abraham was 100 years old, Isaac was born to Abraham and his 90-year-old wife Sarah (Sarai). Judah was the 4th son born to Jacob and Leah. Er, Onan and Shelah were born to Judah and his wife, a Canaanite woman descended from Noah's son Ham. Over 300 years after the Lord God put Er and Onan to death, Aaron and his brother Moses were born into the tribe of Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, many Egyptians died from the plague of hail and the plague of death that the Lord God brought upon Pharaoh and Egypt. After Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egypt and across the divinely parted Red Sea, more Egyptians died when the Lord God caused the water of the Red Sea to the Egyptians. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them. When Moses was upon Mount Sinai with the Lord God for 40 days and nights, Aaron obeyed the requests of the Israelites and made an idoldisobeying the commands of the Lord God. The Lord God wanted to put an end to the Israelites and make a great nation of Moses. However, Moses spoke with reasoning to the Lord God. Moreover, Moses burned, ground and scattered the ashes of the golden calf that Aaron made, and spoke to Aaron, and proclaimed an invitation to those who were on the side of the Lord God. Approximately 3,000 Israelite men were killed. Forty years after the Lord God gave Moses a 2nd set of stone tablets whereupon were written, with the finger of God, the Ten Commandments, Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, was descended from Jacob and Rachel's firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Over 1,300 years after Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Ready to Go

And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, Then took he him  up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.-Luke 2:25-32***Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and his wife Sarah (Sarai) were born to Terah. Terah was the great-great-great-great-great-grandson of Arphaxad. Arphaxad was born to Shem. Shem was born to Noah the ark builder, and Noah was the great-grandson of Enoch. Enoch was the great-great-great-grandson of Seth. Seth was born to Adam and Eve. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God created Adam. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. When Abraham was 100 years old, Isaac was born to Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah. When Isaac was 40 years old, he married Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece. When Isaac was 60 years old, fraternal twin sons Edom (Esau) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Isaac and Rebekah. Decades thereafter, Jacob married Rebekah's nieces Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. Joseph and Benjamin were born to Jacob and Rachel. Over 300 years after Jacob died in Egypt and his body was buried in Canaan, Aaron and his brother Moses were born into the tribe of Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, they led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God. During the 40th year of their journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, 123-year-old Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. After 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, the Israelites were led by elders, judges, or their own minds. The Spirit of the Lord came upon several of the judges, including Othniel, Jephthah, and Samson. Samuel, the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi, was the last judge established by the Lord God. When Samuel was elderly, and Samuel's sons Joel (Vashni) and Abiah (Abijah) were not obeying the commands of the Lord God, and King Nahash and his fellow Ammonites were preparing to attack, the Israelite elders demanded that Samuel appoint a king to lead them. Samuel anointed Saul, from the tribe of Benjamin, to reign as king, according to the command of the Lord God. The Spirit of the Lord came upon Saul. However, at least twice, Saul did not obey the commands of the Lord God. While Saul reigned, the Lord God sent Samuel to anoint David, from the tribe of Judah, to reign as king. The Spirit of the Lord came upon David and the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul. After Saul's self-inflicted death on the battlefield, men from the tribe of Judah anointed David, and 30-year-old David began to reign only over the tribe of Judah. Saul's son Ishbosheth (Eshbaal) reigned over the other Israelite tribes.Sometime after Ishbosheth was murdered, the Israelite elders went to David and David made a covenant with them. The elders anointed David, and 37-year-old David began to reign over all of the Israelites. Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to reign. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city and Rehoboam  was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Murderers and idolaters ruled the northern nation of Israel. Judah was ruled by descendants of David, except for the 6-year reign of Athaliah. King Pekah was the 18th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel, During Pekah's reign, the Assyrians invaded the kingdom and King Tiglath-pileser, ruler of Assyria, began taking Israelites to Assyria. During the reign of King Hoshea, the 19th king to rule the northern nation, the Assyrians conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Rehoboam's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Jehoiakim (Eliakim) was the 17th king to rule Judah. During Jehoiakim's reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah and Jerusalem and King Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of Babylon, began looting the temple of the Lord. During the reign of Jehoiakim's son King Jehoiachin (Jeconiah/Coniah), the 18th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians took more prominent Israelites, including Jehoiachin, his wives and his mother Nehushta, to Babylon. During the reign of Jehoiakim's brother King Zedekiah (Mattaniah), the 19th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem, approximately 6 miles from Jerusalem, into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. On the 8th day after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was circumcised, according to the covenant of circumcision that the Lord God gave Abraham. Forty days after Jesus was born, Joseph, Mary and Jesus were at the temple in Jerusalem to fulfill the laws that the Lord God gave Moses for the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven. Meanwhile, the Roman Empire was ruling the land whereupon the kingdoms of the Israelites previously stood.-Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, 8:1-40, 9:35-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
