...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

Just as He Said

And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac. And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him. And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him. And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me. And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.-Genesis 21:1-7***Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai) did not have any children when they lived among other members of their family in Ur in southern Mesopotamia. Moreover, Abraham and Sarah did not have any children when they lived in Haran in northern Mesopotamia with their father Terah and nephew Lot. After 205-year-old Terah died in Haran, Abraham and Sarah did not have any children when they began living in Canaan with Lot and all of their servants, animals and possessions. Abraham and Sarah were childless throughout their temporary stay in Egypt and throughout the decade following their return to Canaan. When Abraham was 86 years old, Ishmael was born to Abraham and Hagar, Sarah's maidservant. When Abraham was 100 years old, Isaac was born to Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah, just as the Lord God proclaimed earlier within hearing range of Sarah. When Isaac was 37 years old, 127-year-old Sarah died. When Isaac was 40 years old, he was married to Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece. Fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to 60-year-old Isaac and Rebekah. Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah were born to Abraham and Keturah, Abraham's 2nd wife. After 175-year-old Abraham died, Ishmael and Isaac buried Abraham's body in the same cave wherein the body of Sarah was buried. Decades thereafter, Jacob was married to Rebekah's nieces Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Over 1,900 years after Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah was born, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-36:43, 1 Chronicles 1:1-2:17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
