But Samuel ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded with a linen ephod. Moreover his mother made him a little coat, and brought it to him from year to year, when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice. And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The LORD give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the LORD. And they went unto their own home. And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD.-1 Samuel 2:18-21***Years before Samuel, the priest, prophet and judge, was born into the tribe of Levi to Elkanah and Hannah, many sons and daughters were born to Elkanah and Peninnah, Elkanah's other wife. Hannah was childless and was mocked by Peninnah. When Hannah was in Shiloh close to the tabernacle of the Lord God, Hannah prayed to the Lord God and cried and vowed that if the Lord God gave her a son she would give the son to the Lord God. Eli the priest was watching Hannah and thought Hannah was drunk. After Eli spoke to Hannah and understood Hannah's prayer, Eli spoke in prophetic agreement of Hannah's prayer, and when a son was born to Elkanah and Hannah, according to the will of the Lord God, Hannah named the child Samuel. After Samuel was weaned, Hannah took Samuel to live at the tabernacle complex in Shiloh. When Samuel was young, he heard the voice of the Lord God calling him, and Samuel told Eli all the words that the Lord God had spoken to him. When Samuel was older, Samuel explained to the Israelites the actions that must occur before the Lord God delivered the Israelites from the Philistines. After the Israelites obeyed the commands of the Lord God, Samuel prayed and cried to the Lord God and sacrificed a burnt offering to the Lord God. When Samuel was very old, and his sons Joel (Vashni) and Abiah were not obeying the commands of the Lord God, and King Nahash and his Ammonite army were preparing to attack, the Israelite elders demanded that Samuel appoint a king to lead them. Samuel prayed, and listened to the words of the Lord God, and told the Israelites all the words that he heard from the Lord God, and anointed Saul, from the tribe of Benjamin, to reign as king over the Israelites in the Promised Land, according to the command of the Lord God. Samuel presented Saul to the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God, and spoke to them, recounting some of the history and disobedience of the Israelites, and telling the Israelites that he would not stop praying for them, and saying he would teach them the good and right way. At least twice, Saul did not obey the commands of the Lord God. The Lord God rejected the kingship of Saul, and the Lord God sent Samuel to anoint David, from the tribe of Judah, to reign as king. Shortly thereafter, David began serving as a musician and an armor-bearer for Saul, and David killed and beheaded Goliath the gigantic Philistine. David and Jonathan, Saul's son made a covenant. The Israelite women sang of David higher than they sang of Saul, and Saul was angry. Saul wanted to kill David, and became afraid of David, and sent David on missions to get killed, and  commanded others, including Jonathan, to kill David. Saul's daughter Michal was married to David and helped David escape from their home. David ran to Samuel in Ramah (Ramathaim), Samuel's birthplace and hometown. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that sometime before Samuel died and was buried in Ramah, and before the Philistines killed Jonathan and his brothers Malchishua and Abinadab (Ishui?), and Saul's self-inflicted death on the same battlefield, Samuel and David seemingly worked together detailing the presence of gatekeepers at the tabernacle. When David was in Hebron, according to the will of the Lord God, men from the tribe of Judah anointed 30-year-old David, and David began to reign only over the tribe of Judah. Saul's son Ishbosheth (Eshbaal) ruled over the other Israelite tribes. Sometime after Ishbosheth was murdered, the Israelite elders went to David, and David made a covenant with them. The elders anointed 37-year-old David, and David became the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. Over 900 years after Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to rule over all of the Israelites, and 70-year-old David died, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. A Prayer Prayed

And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation. There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God. Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed. The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength. They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble. The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Adam was the 1st man. The Lord God created Adam. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. Elkanah and Hannah did not have any children together. However, Elkanah and Peninnah, Elkanah's other wife, were the parents of several sons and daughters. Peninnah teased Hannah regarding Hannah's childless state and Hannah was sorrowful. When Hannah was in Shiloh on the grounds whereupon the tabernacle of the Lord was located in the Promised Land, Eli the priest saw Hannah making a vow to the Lord God. Eli mistakenly thought Hannah was a drunken woman. After Hannah explained her actions, Eli sent Hannah away in peace and spoke prophetically to her. After Hannah gave birth to Samuel, and Samuel was weaned, Hannah and Samuel went with their family to the tabernacle in Shiloh. Sacrifices were offered, and Hannah spoke to Eli, and presented Samuel to Eli, and Hannah fulfilled her vow to the Lord God and left Samuel at the tabernacle. Over 1,000 years after several more children were born to Elkanah and Hannah, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. During the 12th year after Jesus was born, Jesus was in Jerusalem, Judea, with Joseph and Mary for the yearly Passover commemoration. On the 3rd day of the return journey to their home in Nazareth, Galilee, Joseph and Mary realized Jesus was not with their group. The birth of Samuel

Now there was a certain man of Ramathaim-zophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite: and he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children. And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the LORD of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the LORD, were there. And when the time was that Elkanah offered, he gave to Peninnah his wife, and to all her sons and her daughters, portions: but unto Hannanh he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the LORD had shut up her womb. And her adversary also provoked her sore, for to make her fret, because the LORD had shut up her womb. And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat. Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? am not I better to thee than tens sons? So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD. And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore. And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head. And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli marked her mouth. Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, her her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken. And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee. And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD. Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto. Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him. And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad. And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife: and the LORD remembered her. At least twice, Saul did not obey the commands of the Lord God. After Samuel told Saul that the Lord God rejected Saul from being king and had torn the kingdom from Saul, the Lord God sent Samuel to Bethlehem to anoint David, a man after God's own heart, to reign as king, and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David, and the Spirit of God departed from Saul. After Saul heard about David's skills, strength, appearance, and favor with the Lord God, he demanded that David's father Jesse send David to him, and David began serving as a musician and an armor-bearer for Saul. Amid the Valley of Elah, David killed and beheaded Goliath the gigantic Philistine. David and Jonathan, Saul's son, made a covenant. Elkanah, Hannah and Peninnah

Esau was Isaac's favorite, and Jacob was Rebekah's favorite. In Padan Aram, Haran, Jacob was married to Leah and Rachel the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and Rachel. During Jacob's 20th year in Haran, he began journeying home to Canaan with his family, servants, animals, and possessions. Near Bethlehem, Benjamin was born to Jacob and Rachel, and Rachel died. Joseph was 17 years old when his brothers sold him to merchants traveling to Egypt and led Jacob to believe that Joseph was killed by a wild beast, and Joseph was 30 years old when Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, proclaimed him second-in-command. Jacob was 130 years old when he moved with his family from Canaan to Egypt. In Egypt, Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim, the sons born to Joseph and his wife Asenath, to be his own sons, and the tribe of Joseph became the tribe of Manasseh and the tribe of Ephraim. Sometime after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt, and Jacob's family buried his body in Canaan, and 110-year-old Joseph and his siblings were dead, their descendants the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were born into the tribe of Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, the Lord God sent them to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh. The elders believed the words of the Lord God that Aaron spoke to them. Pharaoh did not believe and he made the work of the Israelites more difficult. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Pharaoh told Moses and Aaron to get the Israelites and their animals and go worship the Lord God. Moreover, Pharaoh told Moses and Aaron to bless him. Before Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, into the desert wilderness of Shur, and the desert wilderness of Sin, the Israelites asked for and were given an abundance of valuable goods, fulfilling the words that the Lord God spoke to Isaac's father Abraham (Abram the Hebrew). In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them, and the Lord God began giving Moses judgments, statutes and laws for the Israelites, and the Lord God made a covenant with the Israelites, and the Israelites said they would obey the words of the Lord God. When Moses was upon Mount Sinai 40 days and nights with the Lord God, the Lord God gave Moses commands about the offering willing Israelites were to bring, and the Lord God described to Moses and showed Moses the likeness of the tabernacle, and the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and the other sacred items the Israelites were commanded to make, and the Lord God told Moses that only Aaron, and Aaron's sons and the sons born to their descendants were to serve the Lord God as priests.  Meanwhile, the Israelites thought they were abandoned and told Aaron to make gods to lead them. Aaron told the Israelites to bring him their gold earrings, and Aaron made a golden calf that the Israelites worshiped and Moses burned and ground. During the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam the prophetess died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron the high priest died. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died, and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' aide and successor from the tribe of Ephraim, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Israelites set the tabernacle in Shiloh. Over 200 years after 110-year-old Joshua died, and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Samuel was born into the tribe of Levi to Elkanah and Hannah. After Samuel was weaned, Hannah took Samuel to live at the tabernacle complex in Shiloh, fulfilling her vow to the Lord God.
