And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite, to separate themselves unto the LORD: He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried. All the days of his separation shall he eat nothing that is made of the vine tree, from the kernels even to the husk. All the days of the vow of his separation there shall no razor come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth himself unto the LORD, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow. All the days that he separateth himself unto the LORD he shall come at no dead body. He shall not make himself unclean for his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the consecration of his God is upon his head. All the days of his separation he is holy unto the LORD.-Numbers 6:1-8***In Canaan, the Promised Land, Samson the judge from the tribe of Dan lived as a Nazirite (Nazarite), and Samuel the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi lived as a Nazirite. Before Samson was conceived in his mother's womb, the angel of the Lord spoke to Samson's childless mother and told her that she would conceive and give birth to a son, and the angel of the Lord told Samson's father Manoah about the son who would be born to Manoah and his wife, and the angel of the Lord told them that their son was to be a Nazirite. Before Samuel was conceived in the womb of his childless mother Hannah, and born to Hannah and her husband Elkanah, Hannah prayed to the Lord God and asked the Lord to give her a son, and dedicated the son to the Lord God. In Hannah's prayer to the Lord God, Hannah described Samuel's future outward appearance, expressing the description of a Nazirite. Over 200 years after Samson and Samuel were born, Amos the prophet was proclaiming the words of the Lord God to his fellow Israelites in the northern nation of Israel in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. The Lord God revealed to Amos that Nazirites were given wine to drink. Over 700 years after Amos proclaimed his last messages to the Israelites, the angel Gabriel appeared to elderly, childless Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and told him that his prayer was heard and that a son would be born to Zechariah and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth) and Zechariah was to name the child John. The angel Gabriel said that John would be great in the eyes of the Lord and was not to drink anything fermented, and would be filled with the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost) while he was in Elizabeth's womb. The angel Gabriel said that the birth of John was going to cause rejoicing and gladness, and John would bring many Israelites back to the Lord, and prepare people for the Lord. During the 6th month that elderly Elizabeth was carrying John the Baptist in her womb, the Lord God sent the angel Gabriel to Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin. The angel Gabriel said Mary was favored with grace, and the Lord was with Mary, and Mary was blessed among women. The angel Gabriel told Mary not to fear, and said Mary had favor with the Lord God, and said Mary would give birth to a Son, and Mary was to name the Son Jesus, and Jesus, the Son of the Highest (the Most High) would be conceived of the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb, and the angel Gabriel revealed that Elizabeth was 6 months pregnant. After Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb when Mary was a virgin, Mary went to visit Elizabeth, and Elizabeth heard Mary's voice, and John the Baptist leaped in Mary's womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Joseph was the craftsman pledged to wed Mary. An angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph when Joseph was asleep and dreaming and told Joseph not to be afraid to receive Mary as his wife, and said that the child in Mary's womb was conceived of the Holy Spirit, and Joseph was to name the Son Jesus. Months after John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Jacob's 3rd born son Levi to Zechariah and Elizabeth, Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God, was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. John the Baptist lived as a Nazirite, set apart unto God, and spent some of his life in the wilderness, and ate locusts and honey, and never consumed alcoholic beverages or large quantities of food, and wore a garment made of camel's hair, and a leather belt around his waist. John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. John the Baptist baptized repenters with water unto repentance in the Jordan River, and in Bethany (Bethabara) on the other side of the Jordan River, and in the wilderness, and in Aenon, and told those listening to him to believe in the One coming after him, and said that Jesus would baptize with the Holy Spirit and with fire. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John, the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus proclaimed the gospel of God, and told listeners to repent and believe in the gospel, and said the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near, and the time has been fulfilled. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 6:1-27, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-16:31, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, Amos 1:1-2:16, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 6:1-8:4, 9:1-31, 11:19-28:31
