And it came to pass, that when Jehu was executing judgment upon the house of Ahab, and found the princes of Judah, and the sons of the brethren of Ahaziah, he slew them. And he sought Ahaziah: and they caught him, (for he was hid in Samaria,) and brought him to Jehu: and when they had slain him, they buried him: Because, said they, he is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart. So the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom. But when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal of the house of Judah. But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king's sons that were slain, and put him and his nurse in a bedchamber. After the Lord God spoke to Joshua, and Joshua sent 2 spies to Canaan, the Promised Land, and Rahab hid the spies, and the spies returned, Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Over 300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died, and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Saul, from the tribe of Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin, became the 1st king to reign. David, from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah, was the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites. Solomon, a son born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king. During the 4th year of his 40-year reign, Solomon began building the temple of the Lord, and in the 11th year, workers finished building the temple in Jerusalem. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to rule over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Ahab was the 7th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. After Ahab was wounded on the battlefield and died, Ahaziah, a son born to Ahab and his wife Jezebel, became the 8th king to rule the northern nation. Ahaziah reigned 2 years, was injured and died, and Ahab and Jezebel's son Jehoram (Joram) became the 9th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. Rehoboam's great-grandson Jehoshaphat was the 4th king to rule Judah, and Jehoshaphat's son Jehoram (Joram) was the 5th king. Jehoram was married to Ahab's daughter Athaliah. Jehu was an army commander in the northern nation of Israel. After Jehu was anointed to reign as king in the northern nation, he killed Ahab and Jezebel's son Jehoram, and Jehoshaphat's son Ahaziah was killed, and Jezebel was killed, and Ahab's 70 other sons were killed and beheaded, and Ahab's officials, friends and royal priests in Jezreel were killed, and Ahaziah's 42 visiting relatives were killed, and everyone else in Samaria connected to Ahab was killed, and the false priests and prophets were killed. In Judah, when Athaliah learned that Ahaziah was dead, she caused her royal descendants to be killed and she began to reign, unaware that Ahaziah's son Joash (Jehoash) and Joash's nurse were rescued by Ahaziah's sister Jehoshabeath (Jehosheba). Jehoshabeath's husband Jehoiada the priest kept Joash hidden in the priests' quarters in the temple. When Joash was 7 years old, Jehoiada presented Joash as Judah's rightful ruler, and put the crown upon Joash's head, and Jehoiada and his sons anointed Joash, and Joash became the 7th king to rule Judah. Athaliah was killed. At least 750 years after Jehu's son Jehoahaz became the 11th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel, and Amaziah, the son born to Joash and Jehoaddan, became the 8th king to rule Judah, Jesus the Christ,  the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem into the tribe of Judah,

King Ahaziah

Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Athaliah the daughter of Omri. He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for his mother was his counseller to do wickedly. Wherefore he did evil in the sight of the LORD like the house of Ahab: for they were his counsellers after the death of his father to his destruction. He walked also after their counsel, and went with Jehoram the son of Ahab king of Israel to war against Hazael king of Syria at Ramoth-gilead: and the Syrians smote Joram. And he returned to be healed in Jezreel because of the wounds which were given him at Ramah, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria. And Azariah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab at Jezreel, because he was sick.-2 Chronicles 22:2-6

And the destruction of Ahaziah was of God by coming to Joram: for when he was come, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the LORD had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab. Jehu killed Ahab and Jezebel's son Jehoram, and Jehu gave a command, and Jezebel was thrown down and died. The male descendants in Ahab's royal family were killed, and Ahab's idol worshiping priests and close acquaintances were killed, and 42 visitors from Judah were killed, and Ahab and Jezebel's false prophets were killed. After Ahaziah's death, Athaliah began putting her royal descendants to death. Ahaziah's 1-year-old son Joash (Jehoash) was rescued by Ahaziah's sister Jehosheba (Jehoshabeath) and remained hidden 6 years within the priests' bedchambers in the temple, under the supervision of Jehosheba's husband Jehoiada the priest. Meanwhile, Athaliah became the 1st and only woman, and the only person not descended from David, to rule Judah. Over 800 years after Jehoiada presented Joash as Judah's rightful ruler, and Joash was crowned and anointed, and Athaliah was killed, and Joash ruled for 17 years and was killed, and Amaziah, the son born to Joash and Jehoaddan, became the 8th king to rule Judah, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Just Obedience

King Jehu, and

ruler of the northern nation of Israel,

and Joram's mother Jezebel,

And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, go to Ramoth-gilead: And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber; Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.-2 Kings 9:1-3

So the young man, even the young man the prophet, went to Ramoth-gilead. And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he said, To thee, O captain. And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel. And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel. Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellow to thee? And he said unto them, Ye know the man, and his communication. And they said, It is false; tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spake he to me, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then they hasted, and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew with trumpets, saying, Jehu is king.-2 Kings 9:11-13

So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept Ramoth-gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria. But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your minds, then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.-2 Kings 9:14-15

So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram. And there stood a watchman on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take an horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace? So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchhman told, saying, The messenger came to them, but the cometh not again. Then he sent out a second on horseback, which came to them, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu answered, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and cometh not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.-2 Kings 9:16-20

And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite. And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many? And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, There is treachery, O Ahaziah. And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot. Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father; the LORD laid this burden upon him; Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the LORD; and I will requite thee in this plat, saith the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the plat of ground, according to the word of the LORD.-2 Kings 9:21-26

And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs. And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot. And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king's daughter. And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands. Wherefore they came again, and told him. This is the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel: And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.-2 Kings 9:30-37/the complete chapter

In the twelfth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel did Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah begin to reign. Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.-2 Kings 8:25-29***Ahaziah was an Israelite from the tribe of Judah, descended from Adam and Eve, their son Seth, Seth's great-great-great-grandson Enoch, Enoch's great-grandson Noah the ark builder, Noah's son Shem, Shem's son Arphaxad, Arphaxad's great-great-great-great-great-grandson Terah, Terah's children Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), their son Isaac and his wife Rebekah, Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. Omri, his son Ahab, and Ahab's children Joram (Jehoram) and Athaliah were Israelites. However, Omri, Ahab, Joram, and Athaliah were idol worshipers, and did not worship the Lord God, and the tribe of their birth is not specified in the Holy Bible. Ahab's wife and Joram's mother Jezebel was a Sidonian (Zidonian) princess, and worshiped idols, and did not worship the Lord God. Omri was the 6th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel in the Promised Land. Ahab was the 7th king to reign, and Joram was the 9th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Ahaziah was the 6th king to rule Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land. Ahaziah's grandfather King Jehoshaphat, and Jehoshapha's father King Asa, and Asa's great-great-grandfather King David only worshiped the Lord God. David was the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land. Asa was the 3rd king to rule Judah, Jehoshaphat was the 4th king, and Jehoshaphat's son Jehoram (Joram) was the 5th king to rule Judah. After the Syrians wounded Ahaziah, and Ahaziah died, his mother Athaliah began putting her royal descendants to death. Ahaziah's sister Jehosheba (Jehoshabeath) rescued Ahaziah's 1-year-old son Joash (Jehoash), and Jehosheba's husband Jehoiada the priest kept Joash hidden 6 years. Over 800 years after 7-year-old Joash was crowned and anointed as Judah's rightful ruler, and Athaliah was killed, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. King Jehoram (Joram),

ruler of Judah

And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being then king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah began to reign. Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem. And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in the sight of the LORD. Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children. In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves. So Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled into their tents. Yet Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time. And the rest of the acts of Joram, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the king of Judah? Abijam was born to King Rehoboam. Rehoboam was born to King Solomon and Naamah. Solomon was the 2nd child born to King David and Bathsheba. David was the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land. Solomon was the 3rd king to reign, and Rehoboam was the 4th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Abijah was the 2nd king to rule Judah, Asa was the 3rd king, Jehoshaphat was the 4th king, and Jehoram was the 5th king to rule Judah. David and his descendants, all the kings who ruled Judah, were Israelites from the tribe of Judah, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah. The Edomites descended from Jacob's older fraternal twin brother Esau (Edom). The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Edomites were ruled by Edomite kings before the Israelites began living under the rulership of kings. Saul was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. When Samuel the priest, prophet and judge was elderly, and Samuel's sons Joel (Vashni) and Abiah (Abijah) were not obeying the commands of the Lord God, and King Nahash and his Ammonite army were preparing to attack, the Israelite elders demanded that Samuel appoint a king to lead them, and Samuel anointed Saul to reign, according to the command of the Lord God. Saul fought the Edomites during his reign, and many Edomites were killed during David's reign, and David stationed military posts throughout the land of the Edomites, and the Edomites became David's servants. Solomon built ships in the land of the Edomites. During Jehoram's 8-year reign, the Edomites were under the rulership of an Edomite king. Joshua was an Israelite from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Jacob and Rachel's firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Over 500 years before Jehoram was born, Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Sometime thereafter, Joshua and the Israelites killed the inhabitants in Libnah, according to the will of the Lord God. Libnah was in the portion of the Promised Land allotted to the tribe of Judah and eventually given to the priests. Ahaziah, the son born to Jehoram and Athaliah, was the 6th king to rule Judah. King Ahab was the 7th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. Ahab was married to Jezebel, a Sidonian (Zidonian) princess. Ahab and Jezebel's son Ahaziah was the 8th king to rule the northern nation, and Ahab and Jezebel's son Jehoram (Joram), was the 9th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. Moreover the LORD stirred up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines, and of the Arabians, that were near the Ethiopians: And they came up into Judah, and brake into it, and carried away all the substance that was found in the king's house, and his sons also, and his wives; so that there was never a son left him, save Jehoahaz, the youngest of his sons. And after all this the LORD smote him in his bowels with an incurable disease. And it came to pass, that in process of time, after the end of two years, his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness: so he died of sore diseases. And his people made no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Omri and Ahab's wickedness surpassed the wickedness of every king who ruled the northern nation of Israel before they reigned. Jezebel was a Sidonian (Zidonian) princess, and an idol worshiper, and 1 of Ahab's wives, and was responsible for the deaths of many prophets of the Lord God. Moreover, Jezebel vowed to kill Elijah the prophet, and plotted so that Naboth, an Israelite landowner from Jezreel, was killed. Although Jezebel was Ahab's wife and Athaliah was Ahab's daughter, Athaliah is not specifically identified as Jezebel's daughter, although their behavior was similar. Ahaziah, the son born to Jehoram and Athaliah, was the 6th king to rule Judah. Jezebel encouraged and prodded Ahab towards wickedness, and Athaliah encouraged and prodded Ahaziah towards wickedness. King Pekah was the 18th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. During Pekah's 20-year reign, the Assyrians invaded the kingdom and King Tiglath-pileser, ruler of Assyria, began taking Israelites captive. During the 9th year of the reign of King Hoshea, the 19th king to rule the northern nation, the Assyrians conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Less than 125 years after Samaria was conquered, Ahaziah's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Jehoiakim (Eliakim) became the 17th king to rule Judah. During Jehoiakim's 11-year reign, the Babylonians invaded Judah and Jerusalem and King Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of Babylon, began looting the temple of the Lord. Jehoiachin (Jeconiah/Coniah), the son born to Jehoiakim and Nehushta, was the 18th king to rule Judah. During Jehoiachin's 3-month reign, the Babylonians took more prominent Israelites, including Jehoiachin, his wives and mother, to Babylon. During the 11th year of the reign of Jehoiakim's brother King Zedekiah (Mattaniah), the 19th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born.
