Why, Lord, Why

And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham begat Isaac: And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan-aram, the sister to Laban the Syrian. And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was entreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived. And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD. And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb. And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau. And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them. And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents. And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob. And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint: And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.-Genesis 25:19-30***Nahor, Haran, Sarah (Sarai), and Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and Sarah (Sarai) were siblings, the children born to Terah. When Abraham was 100 years old and Sarah was 90, their only child Isaac was born. When Isaac was 40 years old, he married Rebekah, Nahor's granddaughter. During the 20th year of their marriage, Isaac and Rebekah's only children, fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born. Jacob's descendants the Israelites experienced an encounter with Esau's descendants the Edomites when the Israelites were on a 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Over 300 years after Joshua led his fellow Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, the Israelites were battling the Edomites. Rehoboam, the son born to King Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city, and Jeroboam was the 1st king to reign. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city, and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Rehoboam's great-great-grandson King Joram (Jehoram), and Joram's great-grandson King Amaziah, and Amaziah's great-grandson King Ahaz  battled the Edomites. Over 700 years after Hezekiah, the son born to Ahaz and Abijah (Abi), became the 12th king to rule Judah, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah, the birth tribe of Solomon and all of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-2:17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-39, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Obadiah, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
