From the Epistle to the Hebrews,
in the New Testament of the Holy Bible:
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.-Hebrews 11:1-7***Centuries before the Lord God made a covenant with Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and gave Canaan, land inhabited by idolaters, to Abraham, and to Abraham's descendants, the Lord God identified Abel as righteous. Cain, Abel and Seth were born to Adam and Eve. The Lord God created Adam, the 1st man, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. Enoch was Seth's great-great-great-grandson. Enoch walked with the Lord God, and spoke prophetically of spiritual events, and pleased the Lord God, and was 365 years old and alive when the Lord God took him. Noah the ark builder was Enoch's great-grandson. Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord God, and walked with the Lord God, and was a proclaimer of righteousness, and the Lord God identified Noah as righteous. Abraham and Sarah (Sarai) were the great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandchildren of Noah. Abraham believed the Lord God, and Abraham's faith was credited as righteousness, and Abraham was a friend of God. Decades after Isaac was born to 100-year-old Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah, the Lord God appeared to Isaac and told Isaac that he would give Canaan to him and his descendants. Jacob (Israel) was the youngest fraternal twin son born to 60-year-old Isaac and his wife Rebekah. Decades after Jacob was born, Jacob saw the Lord God in a dream and the Lord God promised to give Canaan to Jacob and Jacob's descendants. Joshua was an Israelite from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, their firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Over 400 years after Joshua led his fellow Israelites (Hebrews/Jews), across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, Solomon the 2nd child born to King David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to reign. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Less than 220 years after Jeroboam's son Nadab became the 2nd king to rule the northern nation, the Assyrians invaded the kingdom and conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Rehoboam's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Zedekiah (Mattaniah) was the 19th king to rule Judah. During the 11th year of Zedekiah's reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah, the tribe of David, Solomon and all of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Jacob's 3rd born son Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that through the disobedience of Adam people were made sinners, and through the obedience of Jesus people will be made righteous. Notably, before Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, and after Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven less than 3 1/2 years after he was baptized, the Roman Empire was ruling the land whereupon the kingdoms of the Israelites previously stood.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:20, 2 Chronicles, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, Romans 4:1-25, Galatians 3:1-29, Hebrews, James 2:1-26
