...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

Oh, Yes, It's Ladies' Might

The Tribe of Ephraim:

And the sons of Ephraim; Shuthelah, and Bered his son, and Tahath his son, and Eladah his son, and Tahath his son, and Zabad his son, and Shuthelah his son, and Ezer, and Elead, whom the men of Gath that were born in that land slew, because they came down to take away their cattle. And Ephraim their father mourned many days, and his brethren came to comfort him. And when he went in to his wife, she conceived, and bare a son, and he called his name Beriah, because it went evil with his house. (And his daughter was Sherah, who built Beth-horon the nether, and the upper, and Uzzen-sherah.) And Rephah was his son, also Resheph, and Telah his son, and Tahan his son, Laadan his son, Ammihud his son, Elishama his son, Non his son, Jehoshuah his son. And their possessions and habitations were, Bethel and the towns thereof, and eastward Naaran, and westward Gezer, with the towns thereof; Shechem also and the towns thereof, unto Gaza and the towns thereof: And by the borders of the children of Manasseh, Bethshean and her towns, Taanach and her towns, Megiddo and her towns, Dor and her towns. In these dwelt the children of Joseph the son of Israel.
-1 Chronicles 7:20-29***Ephraim and his older brother Manasseh were born to Joseph and Asenath. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob (Israel) and his 2nd wife Rachel. Asenath was born to Potipherah, an Egyptian priest. Jacob was the youngest fraternal twin son born to Isaac and Rebekah. Rachel and her older sister Leah were born to Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Isaac was the only child born to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai). Laban and Rebekah were born to Bethuel the Syrian (Aramean). Bethuel was born to Nahor and his wife Milcah. Nahor, Abraham and Sarah were born to Terah. Sometime after 130-year-old Jacob moved with his family from Canaan to Egypt, the country wherein Joseph was second-in-command, Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim to be his own sons. Sometime after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt and Jacob's family buried his body in Canaan, and 110-year-old Joseph and his siblings were dead, their descendants the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were Israelites from the tribe of Levi, descended from Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, they led the Israelites away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God. Joshua (Jehoshua/Oshea/Hoshea) was born to Nun (Non), an Israelite from the tribe of Ephraim, when the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Joshua was a warrior, and was upon Mount Sinai when Moses was upon Mount Sinai with the Lord God 40 days and nights, and Joshua served as an aide for Moses, and served as a spy. During the journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Joshua was among those who only worshiped the Lord God, even when other Israelites were worshiping idols. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God chose Joshua to serve as Moses' successor. During the 40-year journey, Miriam died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron died. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Joshua, and Aaron's son and successor Eleazar the priest, and specific tribal leaders allotted each tribe their portion of the Promised Land, according to the commands that the Lord God gave Moses. Sometime thereafter, 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land. Sherah, an Ephraimite, an Israelite from the tribe of Ephraim, is associated with the profits brought to the tribe of Ephraim due to the properties associated with her name. In Gezer, in the portion of land allotted to the tribe of Ephraim, the Ephraimites lived among Canaanites after the Ephraimites were not able to cast the Canaanite inhabitants completely from the land. Moreover, Ephraimites were defeated by the inhabitants of Gath, a chief city among the Philistines. David was an Israelite from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah, and Gath was the home of Goliath the gigantic Philistine. Over a decade after David was born, Samuel the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi anointed David to reign as king, according to the command of the Lord God. Years before David began to reign, David killed and beheaded Goliath, and Gath eventually became a temporary dwelling place for David and those with him. Over 900 years after Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 1:1-54, 11:1-34, 13:1-14:45, 20:1-29, 26:28-37, 27:12-23, 34:1-29, Deuteronomy 1:1-3:29, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-17:18, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-11:43, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles 1:1-9:31, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
