and Moses

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the LORD your God. After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances. Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God. Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD. None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD. The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness. The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover. The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness. The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister: she is thy father's near kinswoman. Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister; for she is thy mother's near kinswoman. Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt. Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son's wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness. Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness. Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time.-Leviticus 18:1-18***Moses was born in Egypt into the tribe of Levi to Amram and Jochebed, Israelites descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that after Moses was born, Amram and Jochebed kept him hidden from the murderous intentions of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. When Moses was 3 months old, Jochebed placed him in a specially prepared ark and put the ark amid the vegetation by the river. Moses' sister Miriam watched Pharaoh's daughter send a maidservant to get the ark, and Miriam spoke with Pharaoh's daughter and arrangements were made for Jochebed to be hired as the wet nurse for the baby. After the child was weaned, Jochebed took him to Pharaoh's daughter, and Pharaoh's daughter named the boy Moses, and Moses lived as her son. When Moses was 40 years old, he killed an Egyptian and hid the body, and the murder was mentioned to Moses, and Pharaoh wanted to kill Moses, and Moses bolted from Egypt and began living in Midian, and was married to Zipporah, the daughter of Jethro, a Midianite descended from Abraham and his 2nd wife Keturah and their son Midian. Moses was 80 years old and herding Jethro's sheep amid the region of Mount Horeb (Sinai), the mountain of God, when he saw a fiery sight and heard the Lord God call his name. Moses answered the Lord God, and the Lord God gave Moses a command, and the Lord God and Moses spoke with each other, and the Lord God sent Moses and 83-year-old Aaron to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh. The elders believed the words of the Lord God spoken by Aaron. Pharaoh did not believe, and he made work for the Israelites more difficult. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Pharaoh told Moses and Aaron to get the Israelites and their animals and go worship the Lord God. Moreover, Pharaoh told Moses and Aaron to bless him. Before Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, into the desert wilderness of Shur, and the desert wilderness of Sin, the Israelites asked for and were given an abundance of valuable goods, fulfilling the words that the Lord God spoke to Abraham. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them, and the Lord God began giving Moses judgments, 

statutes, and laws for the Israelites, and the Lord God made a covenant with the Israelites, and the Israelites

said they would obey the words of the Lord God. Some of the laws involved issues of personal intimacy and were similar to the relationships of several of the Israelite ancestors.

-Amram and Jochebed were family members from the tribe of Levi. Miriam the prophetess, Aaron the high priest, and Moses the prophet were born to Amram and Jochebed.

-Sarah was Abraham's wife and half sister. 

-Lot was Abraham and Sarah's nephew. Lot lived with his family in Sodom before the Lord God destroyed Sodom, Gomorrah and the surrounding region. Moab and Ben-ammi were born to Lot and his daughters. Moab, the forefather of the Moabites, was born to Lot and Lot's oldest daughter. Ben-ammi, the forefather of the Ammonites, was born to Lot and Lot's youngest daughter. The Moabites and Ammonites were usually enemies of the Israelites.

-Jacob unknowingly became the husband of Leah and willingly became the husband of Leah's younger sister Rachel. Leah and Rachel were the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Rebekah and Laban were born to Bethuel the Syrian (Aramean). Bethuel was born to Abraham and Sarah's brother Nahor (Nachor) and Nahor's wife Milcah. Milcah and Lot were born to Haran. Haran, Nahor, Abraham, and Sarah were born to Terah.

-Reuben was the 1st son born to Jacob and Leah. Bilhah was Rachel's maidservant. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah. When Reuben lived with Jacob and the rest of their family in Canaan, he was sexually intimate with Bilhah.

-Judah was the 4th son born to Jacob and Leah. Judah unknowingly engaged in sexual intimacy with his daughter-in-law Tamar. Twin sons Perez and Zerah (Pharez and Zarah) were born to Judah and Tamar. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Judah, Tamar, Perez, and Zerah are listed in a biblical genealogy of Jesus the Christ, the Son of God.
