Twenty years after Jacob (Israel) obeyed his mother Rebekah,

and deceived his father Isaac, and cheated his brother Esau

(Edom), and journeyed to the home of Rebekah's brother

Laban, Jacob departs with his wives Leah and Rachel, and

maidservants Bilhah and Zilpah, and 11 sons, and a daughter:

Then Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives upon camels; And he carried away all his cattle, and all his goods which he had gotten, the cattle of his getting, which he had gotten in Padanaram, for to go to Isaac his father in the land of Canaan. And Laban went to shear his sheep: and Rachel had stolen the images that were her father's.-Genesis 31:17-19

And Jacob stole away unawares to Laban the Syrian, in that he told him not that he fled. So he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and passed over the river, and set his face toward the mount Gilead.-Genesis 17:20-21

And it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob was fled. And he took his brethren with him, and pursued after him seven days' journey; and they overtook him in the mount Gilead. And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream by night, and said unto him, Take heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.-Genesis 31:22-24

Then Laban overtook Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mount: and Laban with his brethren pitched in the mount of Gilead. And Laban said to Jacob, What hast thou done, that thou hast stolen away unawares to me, and carried away my daughters, as captives taken with the sword? Wherefore didst thou flee away secretly, and steal away from me; and didst not tell me, that I might have sent thee away with mirth, and with songs, with tabret, and with harp? And hast not suffered me to kiss my sons and my daughters? thou hast now done foolishly in so doing. It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the God of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take thou heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad. And Jacob answered and said to Laban, Because I was afraid: for I said, Peradventure thou wouldest take by force thy daughters from me. With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live: before our brethren discern thou what is thine with me, and take it to thee. For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them.-Genesis 31:31-32

And Laban went into Jacob's tent, and into Leah's tent, and into the two maidservants' tents; but he found them not. Then went he out of Leah's tent, and entered into Rachel's tent.-Genesis 31:33

Now Rachel had taken the images, and put them in the camel's furniture, and sat upon them. And Laban searched all the tent, but found them not. Jacob makes a plan

And he heard the words of Laban's sons, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was our father's; and of that which was our father's hath he gotten all this glory. And Jacob beheld the countenance of Laban, and, behold, it was not toward him as before. And the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee. And Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field unto his flock. And said unto them, I see your father's countenance, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father hath been with me. And ye know that with all my power I have served your father. And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me. If he said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the cattle bare speckled: and if he said thus, The ringstraked shall be thy hire; then bare all the cattle ringstraked. Thus God hath taken away the cattle of your father, and given them to me. Rebekah heard the instructions Isaac gave Esau and helped Jacob deceive Isaac and cheat Esau. When Rebekah learned that Esau planned to kill Jacob, Rebekah spoke words to Isaac that led Isaac to send Jacob from their home in Canaan to Laban's home in Haran on a mission to find a wife. In Haran, Jacob saw and met Rachel. After 1 month, Jacob made a deal with Laban to work 7 years to become Rachel's husband. On the wedding night, Laban brought Rachel's older sister Leah to Jacob, deceiving Jacob. Laban told Jacob to remain with Leah for 1 week, and Rachel would also become his wife, and Jacob must work 7 more years. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. After Joseph was born to Jacob and Rachel, Jacob asked Laban to allow him to leave with his family and return to Canaan. Laban offered to enter into another agreement with Jacob, and when it became obvious that Jacob was more victorious, Laban's family was displeased. At 1,900 years after Jacob and Esau were reunited, and Benjamin was born near Bethlehem to Jacob and Rachel, and Rachel died, and Jacob and Isaac were reunited, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Joseph and Benjamin were born to Jacob and his 2nd and favorite wife Rachel. When the family was living in Canaan, Reuben was intimate with Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Joseph was Jacob's favorite son. When Joseph was at least 17 years old, his brothers wanted to kill him. However, Reuben convinced them of another plan, and Judah convinced his brothers to sell Joseph. Merchants traveling to Egypt bought Joseph. Meanwhile, Joseph's brothers led Jacob to believe that Joseph was killed by a wild animal. The merchants sold Joseph to Potiphar, an Egyptian official. After Potiphar's wife made a false accusation, Potiphar put Joseph in prison. At least 2 years after Joseph explained the meaning of a dream to the imprisoned cupbearer who served Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and explained the meaning of a dream to Potiphar's imprisoned baker, Joseph explained the meaning of a dream to Pharaoh, and Pharaoh proclaimed Joseph to be second-in-command.  During a famine, Jacob sent his sons to Egypt to buy corn (grain). Joseph recognized his brothers without his brothers recognizing him. Joseph accused his brothers of being spies and commanded that they bring their youngest brother to Egypt. Jacob's sons told Jacob about the command, and Reuben made a vow to Jacob. When Jacob's sons were in Egypt with Benjamin, Joseph identified himself to them and told his brothers to move to Egypt with their families, including Jacob. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that during Jacob's journey to Egypt, the Lord God spoke to 130-year-old Jacob. When Isaac was 40 years old, he was married to Rebekah, Nahor's granddaughter. Fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to 60-year-old Isaac and Rebekah. Esau, the firstborn son, was named from a variation of the Hebrew word for "red," and Jacob was named for the Hebrew word for "trickster/heel catcher/supplanter." However, since Esau loved red stew, they began calling him Edom, from another variation of the Hebrew word for "red." Esau was Isaac's favorite son, and Jacob was Rebekah's favorite. Isaac was elderly and his eyesight was diminished when he sent Esau to hunt an animal and prepare a specific meal and said he would bless Esau. Rebekah heard the conversation and prompted Jacob to deceive Isaac and cheat Esau. When Rebekah learned that Esau planned to kill Jacob, she spoke words to Isaac that led him to send Jacob from their home in Beersheba, Canaan, to the home of Rebekah's family in Padan Aram, Haran. In Bethel (Luz), Jacob was asleep and saw, in a dream, the angels of God. and saw and heard the Lord God speaking to him. In Haran, Jacob made a deal with Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean) to become the husband of Laban's youngest daughter Rachel. During the 7th year of their agreement, Laban tricked Jacob, and Laban's oldest daughter Leah became Jacob's 1st wife. Laban proposed another deal before Jacob was married to Rachel. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Jacob's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and Rachel. During his 20th year in Haran, Jacob began journeying to Canaan with his family, servants, animals, and possessions. Before reuniting with Esau, Jacob was in a divine wrestling encounter, exhibiting that he had overcome his struggles with man and the Lord God, and was renamed "Israel," possibly meaning "prince with God" and "fights or persists with God." Sometime thereafter, Jacob and Rachel's 2nd son was born near Bethlehem, and Rachel, dying, named the child Ben-Oni, meaning "son of my sorrow/son of my pain/son of my misfortune." Jacob renamed the child Benjamin, meaning "son of the right hand/son of good fortune/son of the south." Approximately 1,900 years after Jacob reunited with Isaac in Hebron (Mamre/Arba), and 180-year-old Isaac died, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born.
