His Glory Was Right Before Me

Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.-Exodus 3:1-6***Moses was an Israelite from the tribe of Levi, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. Moses lived as the son of the daughter of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. The day after 40-year-old Moses murdered an Egyptian, Moses tried to serve as a peacemaker between 2 Israelites. The murder Moses committed was mentioned during his peacekeeping attempt, and Moses left Egypt and began living in Midian. Moses married Zipporah, the daughter of Jethro (Reuel), and became the shepherd of Jethro's flock. When Moses was 80 years old and herding the flock near Mount Horeb, Moses went to see the sight that led to a conversation with the Lord God. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Moses and his older brother Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur. During the 40th year of their journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, was from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, their firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Over 1,300 years after Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Less than 33 1/2 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven.
