...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Blessed Dressed List

Now the queen by reason of the words of the king and his lords came into the banquet house: and the queen spake and said, O king, live for ever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed: there is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers; forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation. Then was Daniel brought in before the king. And the king spake and said unto Daniel, Art thou that Daniel, which art of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Jewry? I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee. And now the wise men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not shew the interpretation of the thing: And I have heard of thee, that thou canst make interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom.-Daniel 5:10-16***King Manasseh was the great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson of King Rehoboam. Rehoboam was born to King Solomon and Naamah. Solomon was the 2nd son born to King David and Bathsheba. David was the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land. Solomon was the 3rd king to reign. Rehoboam was the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites in the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to  Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city and Jeroboam was the 1st king to reign. King Pekah was the 18th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. During Pekah's reign, the Assyrians invaded the kingdom and King Tiglath-pileser, ruler of Assyria, began taking Israelites to Assyria. During the reign of King Hoshea, the 19th king to rule the northern nation, the Assyrians conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Manasseh was the 13th king to rule Judah. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God would not pardon the shedding of innocent blood caused by Manasseh throughout Jerusalem. Manasseh's great-grandson Jehoiakim (Eliakim) was the 17th king to rule Judah. During Jehoiakim's reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah and Jerusalem and King Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of Babylon, began looting the temple of the Lord. During the reign of Jehoiakim's son King Jehoiachin, the 18th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians took more prominent Israelites to Babylon. Daniel was among the Israelite  (Hebrews/Jews) captives in Babylon who received a Babylonian education in preparation for working for the king of Babylon. Daniel saved lives in Babylon by explaining the meaning of the dream that was troubling Nebuchadnezzar, and giving the dream's meaning and interpretation to him. Nebuchadnezzar made Daniel a ruler over the province of Babylon, placed Daniel in charge of the wise men and gave Daniel gifts. Sometime thereafter, King Belshazzar ruled Babylon. During a great feast, fingers appeared and wrote on the wall. None of the men summoned by Belshazzar could read the writing or give Belshazzar its meaning. The queen told Belshazzar to summon Daniel. After Daniel successfully interpreted the inscription and its meaning, the king rewarded Daniel with clothing, a chain, and the position as the 3rd most important ruler in the land. During the reign of Jehoiakim's brother King Zedekiah (Mattaniah), the 19th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah, the birth tribe of David and his descendants, all of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Jeremiah 1:1-29, 25:1-14, 26:1-24, 39:1-18, 52:1-34, Daniel, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Reference Scriptures:
Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abed-nego.-Daniel 1:6-7

The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret. Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.-Daniel 2:47-48

But at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: and before him I told the dream, saying,-Daniel 4:8

Visiting, Perchance, in Peace

Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry. Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him. Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection. And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest, is? For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean.-Acts 17:16-20***Stephen was an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel). Over 1,900 years after Judah was born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. The Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jeuss, and the Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. For 40 days Jesus fasted and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to b angels,a dn Jess went to the area near John the Baptis, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jeus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven, Stephen was one of seven men chosen by his fellow Israelite believers to oversee the assistance ministry for widows. In the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible, Stephen is revealed to be the first person stoned to death because of his belief in Jesus the Christ. Paul (Saul) was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. Paul guarded the outer garments of the men who pelted Stephen to death. Moreover, Paul approved of their actions and began persecuting and imprisoning  Israelite believers. When Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus in Syria to find, bind and bring to Jerusalem any Israelite believers he found, Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them, and Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him. Paul spoke to Jesus, and obeyed Jesus, and in Damascus Paul was baptized. From thenceforward, Paul the apostle journeyed and wrote divinely inspired letters, teaching the good news of Jesus the Christ and everlasting life to Israelites and Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes. The Israelites in the Damascus synagogues were beside themselves, and some Israelites in Damascus made plans to kill Paul. With help from the disciples, Paul escaped and went to ArabiaPaul returned to Damascus, and went to Jerusalem. The disciples in Jerusalem were fearful of Paul. Barnabas was an Israelite believer from the tribe of Levi, descended from Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. Barnabas spoke to the Israelites of Paul's new life in Christ Jesus and the gospel that Paul proclaimed in Damascus. A group of Greek-speaking Israelites tried to kill Paul. However, with assistance, Paul escaped to Caesarea and Tarsus, his hometown. When Paul made a return trip to Jerusalem, the other believers were convinced of Paul's faith and intentions. In Lystra, Paul was pelted with stones and dragged away, with the assailants thinking Paul was dead. In Philippi, Paul and Silas (Silvanus) were flogged and imprisoned. During a visit to Thessalonica, Israelites who did not believe Jesus to be the Christ tried to kill Paul. Thus, believers sent Paul and Silas to Berea. After the Thessalonians arrived in Berea, the believers sent Paul to Athens.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-8:4, 9:1-31, 11:19-28:31, Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon

Yikes

Saul reigned one year; and when he had reigned two years over Israel, Saul chose him three thousand men of Israel; whereof two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in mount Beth-el, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin: and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent. And Jonathan smote the garrison of the Philistines that was in Geba, and the Philistines heard of it. And Saul blew the trumpet throughout all the land, saying, Let the Hebrews hear. And all Israel heard say that Saul had smitten a garrison of the Philistines, and that Israel also was had in abomination with the Philistines. And the people were called together after Saul to Gilgal. And the Philistines gathered themselves together to fight with Israel, thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and people as the sand which is on the sea shore in multitude: and they came up, and pitched in Michmash, eastward from Beth-aven. When the men of Israel saw that they were in a strait, (for the people were distressed,) then the people did hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in high places, and in pits. And some of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling.-1 Samuel 13:1-7***After the Israelite elders told Samuel, the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi, to appoint a king to lead them, the Lord God told Samuel to anoint Saul to reign as king. Thus, Saul, from the tribe of Benjamin, became the 1st king to reign over the Israelites in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. Saul led the Israelites in battles and fought alongside his troops. During an incident against the Philistines, 2,000 selected fighters were with Saul in Michmash and 1,000 were with Saul's son Jonathan in Gibeah, Saul and Jonathan's hometown. Jonathan launched the 1st attack against the Philistines. When the Israelites saw the size of the Philistine army, they were terrified. Some of the Israelites ran and hid in places nearby, while others ran across the Jordan River to the land that their ancestors had wandered through for 40 years, and the land wherein the tribes of Reuben and Gad and 1/2 the tribe of Manasseh, including the Gileadites, received permission from Moses to make their homes. After the Philistines killed Jonathan and his siblings Abinadab (Ishui) and Malchishua (Melchishua) years later, and the self-inflicted death of Saul on the same battlefield, men from the tribe of Judah anointed David to reign as king, and 30-year-old David began to reign only over the tribe of Judah, the tribe of his birth. Notably, years earlier, Samuel had anointed David to reign, according to the command of the Lord God. Saul's son Ishbosheth (Eshbaal) reigned over the other Israelite tribes. After Ishbosheth was murdered, the Israelite elders went to David and David made a covenant with them. The elders anointed David, and 37-year-old David became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites. Over 900 years after Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 26:28-34, 27:12-23, 32:1-42, 33:50-56, 34:13-29, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-11:43, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 5:1-6:81, 8:1-40, 9:35-29:30, 2 Chronicles 1:1-9:31, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Job Description, and He's Not Kiddin'

To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour. For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee: If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.-Titus 1:4-9***Over 35 years before Titus  began journeying with the apostle Paul (Saul), Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, the disciple and apostle, and Jesus was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven. Paul was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. From thenceforward, Paul the apostle journeyed and wrote divinely inspired letters teaching Israelites and Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes, the good news of Jesus the Christ and everlasting life. Titus was a Gentile and believed Jesus to be the Christ. Paul journeyed with Titus and thought of Titus as a brother and a son. Moreover, Titus carried messages sent by Paul, and gave Paul the messages others sent, and Titus received a divinely inspired letter from Paul.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 8:1-40, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 6:1-8:4, 9:1-31, 11:19-28:31, Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon

Bride with Benefits

And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kirjath-sepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife. And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife. And it came to pass, as she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou? Who answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs.-Joshua 15:16-19***Moses, Caleb, and Joshua were Israelites and only worshiped and believed the Lord God. Moses was from the tribe of Levi, Joshua was from the tribe of Ephraim, and Caleb represented the tribe of Judah. When 10 of the other Israelites secretly surveying Canaan, the Promised Land, came back with a frightening report, Caleb and Joshua spoke of the victory that the Lord God would give the Israelites. During the 40th year after Moses and his older brother Aaron led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness, 123-year-old Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. Sometime thereafter, 85-year-old-Caleb requested to be given the land that the Lord God told Moses to give Caleb, land that Caleb had walked upon when Moses sent him, Joshua and the others on the mission. Hebron, Caleb's portion of the land, was previously known as Kirjatharba (Kiriath Arba). To take possession, Caleb had to drive out the descendants of Anak, known to be gigantic. Afterwards, Caleb wanted to drive out the inhabitants living in the nearby city of Kirjath Sepher (Debir). Caleb offered his daughter Acsah (Achsah) in marriage to the man who captured the city. Othniel, a close relative, accomplished the task. Over 1,300 years after Caleb died, and 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 13:1-14:45, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 9:2, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 13:1-15:63, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-3:31, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-55, 4:1-23, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Don't Even Worry About It

Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men. For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought. After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed. And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.-Acts 5:34-39***On the 8th day after Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary, a virgin, and her husband Joseph after being conceived of the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb when Mary was a virgin, Jesus was circumcised, according to the covenant of circumcision that the Lord God gave Mary and Joseph's ancestor Abraham (Abram the Hebrew). Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, the disciple and apostle, and Jesus was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Israelites who believed Jesus to be the Christ  were known for their involvement in the Way. The Pharisees and Sadducees were two different religious sects among the Israelites. A large portion of the scribes were Sadducees. The Pharisees believed in resurrection. The Sadducees had no belief in resurrection, angels or spirits. The scribes and Pharisees were involved in the arrest  and crucifixion of Jesus, and the scribes were involved in the arrest of the apostles.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts

You're about to Croak from the Smoke

In the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah did Zimri reign seven days in Tirzah. And the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines. And the people that were encamped heard say, Zimri hath conspired, and hath also slain the king: wherefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the host, king over Israel that day in the camp. And Omri went up from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah. And it came to pass, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the palace of the king's house, and burnt the king's house over him with fire, and died.-1 Kings 16:15-18***Saul was the 1st king to reign over the Israelites in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. David was the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to reign. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to reign. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation and Jeroboam was the 1st king to reign. Jeroboam's son Nadab was the 2nd king to rule the northern nation. Nadab reigned for 2 years, was killed by Baasha, and Baasha became the 3rd king to reign. Baasha ruled in Tirzah for 24 years and died. Baasha's son Elah was the 4th king to rule the northern nation, and reigned for 2 years. Zimri, an official of Elah's, killed Elah when Elah was drunk in Tirzah. One week after Zimri became the 5th king to rule the northern nation, Omri was made king by 1/2 of the Israelites. Tibni was made king by the other Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. Shortly thereafter, Omri became the 6th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. Omri reigned in Tirzah, bought Samaria and developed the hill into the final royal city. Less than 140 years after Samaria was conquered, the  Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah and conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Jesus journeyed into Samaria, and interacted with at least 2 Samaritans.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 8:1-40, 9:35-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Believe You Me

Then Amaziah the priest of Beth-el sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel; the land is not able to bear all his words. For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land. Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there: But prophesy not again any more at Bethel: for it is the king's chapel, and it is the king's court. Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit: And the LORD took me as I followed the flock, and the LORD said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel. Now therefore hear thou the word of the LORD: Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac. Therefore thus saith the LORD; Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land.-Amos 7:10-17***Amos was an Israelite and a shepherd and fruit tree worker from Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land. Amos was not descended from an ancestral lineage of prophets. Moreover, Amos was not born the lineage of priests descended from Aaron, the older brother of Moses. The Lord God revealed messages to Amos, and Moses proclaimed the words of the Lord God to the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel in the Promised Land. Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to rule the northern nation of Israel. Jeroboam established idolatry throughout the kingdom. King Joash (Jehoash) was the 12th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. Joash's son Jeroboam was the 13th king to rule the northern nation of Israel. During Jeroboam's reign, Amaziah, a royal court chaplain in the idol worshiping system, spoke to Jeroboam regarding the troubling words being proclaimed by Amos. King Pekah was the 18th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. During Pekah's reign, the Assyrians invaded the kingdom and King Tiglath-pileser, ruler of Assyria, began taking Israelites to Assyria. During the reign of King Hoshea, the 19th king to rule the northern nation, the Assyrians conquered the royal city, Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Less than 140 years after Samaria was conquered, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land, and conquered Jerusalem, the royal city, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah, the birth tribe of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Amos, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Saying Nothing

And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them. And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor. And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly: Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no? But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me? Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar's. And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's. And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.-Luke 20:19-26***The chief priests and scribes were Israelites, descendants of Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel). At least 30 years before the chief priests and scribes heard Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, teaching, Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. The chief priests and scribes knew every commandment, judgment, statute, and law that the Lord God gave for the Israelites, and knew that Jesus had neither studied with them nor been authorized by them to teach the commandments, judgments, statutes, and laws to the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Moreover, the chief priests and scribes did not believe Jesus to be the Christ.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus 1:1-27:34, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 1 John 4:1-21, 2 John 1:1-13
