For One or More Reasons

From a letter written by the apostle Paul,

with Timothy,

to believers in Corinth and the surrounding regions:

Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. Moreover I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth. Not for that we have domination over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand. But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness. For if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me? And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all. For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you. But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all. Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many. So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow. Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him. For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things. To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord, I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia. Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.-2 Corinthians 1:21-2:17***Isaac was the only child born to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai). Fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were the only children born to Isaac and Rebekah. Levi was the 3rd son born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Judah was Jacob and Leah's 4th born son. Benjamin was the 2nd and last son born to Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel. Over 1,900 years after Levi, Judah, Benjamin, and their siblings were born, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born into the tribe of Judah. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, the disciple and apostle. Jesus was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven. Paul (Saul) was an Israelite, Pharisee and Roman citizen from the tribe of Benjamin. Paul did not believe Jesus to be the Christ. Throughout Jerusalem, Paul persecuted and imprisoned any Israelite man or woman who believed Jesus to be the Christ of God. When Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus, Syria, to find, bind and take to Jerusalem any Israelite believers he found, Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them. Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, and Paul spoke to Jesus and obeyed Jesus. In Damascus Paul was baptized. Paul the apostle journeyed to Corinth at least 3 times. During Paul's 1st visit among the Corinthians, Paul taught the good new of Jesus Christ to Israelites and Gentiles, people not born into the Israelites tribes. Sometime thereafter, Paul wrote divinely inspired letters to the believers in Corinth and other places. Paul wrote of the intentions and benefits a rescheduled visit was meant to be for the believers in

Corinth. Moreover, Paul wrote  letters to Timothy 

(Timotheus). Titus  was a Gentile, and a believer,

Jesus the Christ, the Son of God,

 answers Simon Peter, the disciple and apostle:

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands of him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. Offerings without the Beg and Plead

Moses speaks some of his last messages to the Israelites:

The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance. Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them. And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw. The firstfuit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him. For the LORD thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of the LORD, him and his sons for ever.-Deuteronomy 18:1-5***Gershon, Kohath and Merari were born to Levi. Levi was the 3rd son born to Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah. Jacob was the youngest fraternal twin son born to Isaac and Rebekah. Isaac was the only child born to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai). Abraham and Sarah were born to Terah. Terah was the great-great-great-great-great-grandson of Arphaxad. Arphaxad was born to Shem. Shem was born to Noah the ark builder. Noah was the great-grandson of Enoch. Enoch was the great-great-great-grandson of Seth. Seth was born to Adam and Eve. The Lord God created Adam, the 1st man. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. After 205-year-old Terah died in Haran, Abraham, Sarah and Lot journeyed with their servants, animals and possessions to Canaan. The Lord God promised to give Canaan, a land inhabited by idolaters, to Abraham's descendants and to Abraham. When Abraham was 100 years old, Isaac was born to Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah. When Isaac was 40 years old, he married Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece. When Isaac was 60 years old, fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Isaac and Rebekah. When Jacob was 130 years old, he moved with his family from Canaan to Egypt, the country wherein Joseph, the 1st son born to Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, was second-in-command. Sometime after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt and his body was buried in Canaan, and Levi, Joseph and their siblings were dead, their descendants the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Miriam, Aaron and Moses were born into the tribe of Levi and the clan of Kohath to Amram and Jochebed. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, the Lord God sent them to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final give plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them, and the Lord God began giving Moses judgments, statutes and laws for the Israelites. When Moses was upon Mount Sinai with the Lord God for 40 days and nights, the Lord God gave Moses the commands and described and showed to Moses the likeness for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and the tabernacle, and sacred items that the Israelites were to make. The Lord God told Moses that only Aaron and Aaron's son and the sons born to their descendants were to serve the Lord God as priests. Meanwhile, on the ground near Mount Sinai, the Israelites were demanding that Aaron make gods to go before them. Aaron told the Israelites to bring him their golden earrings, and Aaron made a golden calf. Before the Lord God sent Moses back to the Israelites, the Lord God gave Moses 2 stone tablets whereupon were written, with the finger of God, the Ten Commandments. When Moses saw the golden calf and the dancing, Moses threw the stone tablets to the ground. After Moses questioned Aaron, and heard Aaron's answer, Moses proclaimed a question. The Levites responded by going to Moses, thereby identifying themselves as being for the Lord God. Moses spoke the words of the Lord God to the Levites, and the Levites killed approximately 3,000 men. Shortly thereafter, Moses prepared 2 stone tablets and made an ark, and took the tablets and ark upon Mount Sinai, according to the commands of the Lord God. Moses was with the Lord God upon Mount Sinai for 40 more days and nights. The Lord God wrote the Ten Commandments on the tablets, and gave the tablets to Moses, and Moses put the tablets in the wooden ark and returned to the Israelites. After the tabernacle, and the gold covered ark of the covenant of the Lord, and the sacred items were made, Moses put the 2 stone tablets in the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and put the ark of the covenant and every sacred item in its proper place in the tabernacle. The Lord God told Moses that only the Levites could attend to and carry the tabernacle and sacred items, and camp around the tabernacle, and assist the priests with their duties at the tabernacle, and gave Moses the tabernacle duties for each Levite clan, the Kohathites, Gershonites and Merarites. The Lord God told Moses that after the priests covered the ark of the covenant and other sacred items, the Kohathites were to carry the ark of the covenant by its gold covered poles. During the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam died and was buried in Kadesh in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron died and was buried. Shortly thereafter, Moses began speaking his last messages to the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Moreover, Moses wrote the law and gave the Book of the Law to the priests. The Lord God spoke to Moses and commanded Moses to write the words of a song and teach the song to the Israelites. Moses wrote the song, and taught the song, with Joshua, his successor, to the Israelites. Moses blessed the Israelites, and 120-year-old Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Over 1,400 years after Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Months before Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, John the Baptist baptized Jesus in the Jordan River. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Sometime before John the Baptist proclaimed the identity of Jesus, the Israelites sent priests and Levites to ask John the Baptist to identify himself. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. Always and Forever

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD. And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin. And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.-Leviticus 23:9-14***Decades after fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob married Rebekah's nieces Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah. Joseph and Benjamin were born to Jacob and Rachel. When Joseph was at least 17 years old, his brothers sold him to merchants traveling to Egypt and led Jacob to believe that Joseph was killed by a wild animal. The merchants sold Joseph to Potiphar, an Egyptian official. After Potiphar's wife made a false accusation, Potiphar put Joseph in the king's prison. When the cupbearer and the baker who served Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, were imprisoned, Joseph interpreted each man's dream. At least 2 years after the cupbearer was released from prison and returned to Pharaoh, Joseph was taken from prison and explained the interpretation of 2 dreams to Pharaoh. Afterwards, Pharaoh proclaimed Joseph to be second-in-command in Egypt and arranged for Joseph to marry Asenath. During a famine in Canaan, Jacob kept Benjamin home and sent his others sons to Egypt to buy grain. Joseph recognized his brothers without his brothers recognizing him. Joseph questioned his brothers, and kept them in custody 3 days, and commanded them to return to Canaan and bring their youngest brother to Egypt. Moreover, Joseph kept Simeon imprisoned in Egypt. As the famine continued, Jacob sent his sons, including Benjamin, to Egypt to buy more grain. Joseph identified himself to his brothers, and told them to bring their families, with Jacob, to Egypt. Pharaoh also gave Joseph hospitable commands for Joseph's family. Sometime after 130-year-old Jacob arrived in Egypt, Jacob made Joseph vow to bury his body in Canaan, the Promised Land, and Jacob proclaimed Joseph and Asenath's sons Manasseh and Ephraim to be his own sons. Sometime after born 147-year-old Jacob died, and Joseph and his siblings were dead, their descendants the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Initially, the priests performed their duties at the tabernacle, and the Israelites brought their offerings to the tabernacle. The Israelites were commanded to bring a specified amount of their firstfruits to the priests. On the day specified, the priest was to wave the offering before the Lord God, and the Israelite was required to offer an unblemished male lamb and other offerings. If an Israelite wanted to bring a grain offering of their firstfuits, the grain had to be from particular corn prepared according to the laws that the Lord God gave to Moses. The Lord God told Aaron that Aaron and his sons, daughters and descendants were to eat the offerings that were not burned in fire upon the altar of burnt offering. During the 40-year journey to the Promised Land, Miriam died and was buried in Kadesh in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year old Aaron died and was buried. Shortly thereafter, Moses began speaking his final messages to the Israelites and told them the words they were to declare when they brought their firstfuits to the priests. When 120-year-old Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor  from the tribe of Ephraim, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Jacob, and Isaac, and to Isaac's father Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and their descendants. Over 300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Solomon, the 2nd child born to King David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites. In Jerusalem, Solomon built the temple of the Lord, and the Lord God identified the temple as the place he had chosen as a house of sacrifice. From thenceforth, the Israelites brought their offerings to the temple. Over 900 years after Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, became the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up,  if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man is his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. Adam's wife Eve was the mother of all living. The Lord God created Adam in the beginning. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Eve after taking a part out of Adam. In the Garden of Eden, Eve was deceived and disobeyed the command of the Lord God, and Adam disobeyed the command of the Lord God, and sin entered into the world, and death entered into the world through sin. The Lord God cast Adam out of the Garden of Eden to keep Adam from taking and eating of the tree of life. Sometime thereafter, Cain and Abel were born to Adam and Eve. After Cain killed Abel, the Lord God spoke to Cain, and Cain spoke to the Lord God, and Cain moved away from the region and began living in Nod, east of Eden. When Adam was 130 years old, Seth was born to Adam and Eve. Seth's great-great-great-grandson Enoch was the great-grandfather of Noah the ark builder. Shem was born to Noah, and Arphaxad was born to Shem. Arphaxad's great-great-great-great-great-grandson was Terah. Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai) were born to Terah. Isaac was born to Abraham and Sarah. When Isaac was 40 years old, he married Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece. When Isaac was 60 years old, Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Isaac and Rebekah. Decades thereafter, Jacob married Rebekah's nieces Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian. Over 1,900 years after Judah was born to Jacob and Leah, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Throughout Jerusalem, Paul persecuted and imprisoned any Israelite man or woman who believed Jesus to be the Christ of God. When Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus, Syria, to find, bind and take to Jerusalem any Israelite believers he found, Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them. Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, and Paul spoke to Jesus and obeyed Jesus. In Damascus Paul was baptized. The Lord God spoke to Moses and and commanded Moses to write down the words to a song and teach the song to the Israelites. After Moses and Joshua taught the song to the Israelites, Moses blessed the Israelites, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. Over 1,300 years after Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.
