Over 1,800 years before Zechariah, Elizabeth and John the Baptist were born, Levi was born to Jacob (Israel) and Leah. Jacob was the youngest fraternal twin son born to Isaac and Rebekah. Isaac was the only child born to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai). Abraham and Sarah were born to Terah. Terah was the great-great-great-great-great-grandson of Arphaxad. Arphaxad was born to Shem. Shem was born to Noah the ark builder. Noah was the great-grandson of Enoch. Enoch was the great-great-great-grandson of Seth. Seth was born to Adam, the 1st man, and Eve, the mother of all living. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that before the Lord God created Adam, forming Adam from the dust of the ground and making Adam's wife Eve after take a part out of Adam, Jesus, the Word, was with his Father the Lord God in the beginning. When Zechariah and Elizabeth were elderly and childless, an angel of the Lord appeared to Zechariah and told Zechariah that Elizabeth would give birth to a son, and Zechariah must name the child John. The angel spoke of John's future accomplishments. During the 6th month that Elizabeth was carrying John the Baptist in her womb, Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin. When Mary visited Elizabeth, and Elizabeth heard Mary greet her, John the Baptist leaped in Elizabeth's womb and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Moreover, after John the Baptist was born, Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke of the purpose and life of John the Baptist. On the 8th day after John the Baptist was born, John the Baptist was circumcised. Months thereafter, Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. On the 8th day after Jesus the Christ was born, Jesus was circumcised. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Sometime before John the Baptist baptized Jesus, Israelites, including priests from the tribe of Levi, questioned  John the Baptist about his identity. When John the Baptist baptized Jesus, John the Baptist saw the Holy Spirit descend as a dove and alight upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. In Judea, the disciples of Jesus baptized the people who came to them. A Certain Man

And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority? And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things. The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him? David, from the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah, was the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites. Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to reign. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah was the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Jehoram (Joram), the son born to King Ahab and Jezebel, was the 9th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. Elisha was an Israelite and a prophet of the Lord God. Naaman was a Syrian (Aramean), and commander of his king's army, and afflicted with leprosy. Most likely during Joram's reign, the king of Syria (Aram) sent Naaman to the king of the northern nation of Israel to be healed. After Naamah listened to his servants and immersed himself 7 times in the Jordan River as instructed by Elisha, Naaman's flesh was restored and Naaman was clean. Naaman went to Elisha and proclaimed the Lord God to be the only God, and Naaman asked to be forgiven by the Lord God for upcoming idol worshiping acts of bowing in a designated place of idolatry. Over 800 years after Jehu became the 10th king to reign over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel, and Rehoboam's great-grandson Jehoshaphat became the 4th king to rule Judah, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Not at All and None at All

The 2nd month after Moses and his older brother Aaron 

led their fellow Israelites, and those with them, away 

from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted

 Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness, 

the Lord God began raining bread from heaven:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God. And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host. And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground. And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.-Exodus 16:11-15

Some Advice to Keep in Mind

From a letter written by the apostle Paul,

to believers in Corinth and the surrounding areas:

Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago. Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have. For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.-2 Corinthians 8:7-12

For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened: but by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality: As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.-2 Corinthians 8:13-15

Background Information:

Jacob (Israel) was the youngest fraternal twin son born to Isaac and Rebekah. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel. When Jacob was 130 years old, he moved with his family from Canaan to Egypt, the country wherein Joseph was sold to Potiphar, an Egyptian official, and was imprisoned, and was proclaimed second-in-command. After 147-year old Jacob died in Egypt, his body was buried in Canaan, the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Jacob, and Isaac, and to Isaac's father Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and their descendants. Sometime after Joseph and his siblings were dead, their descendants the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Aaron and his brother Moses were from the tribe of Levi, descended from Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, they led the Israelites away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God. When the Israelites, and those with them, were in the desert wilderness of Sin, the Israelites grumbled and began reminiscing about the variety of food they ate in Egypt. The Lord God told Moses that he was going to rain bread from heaven, and specified the amount of bread, manna, that the Israelites were to collect. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that those who gathered much manna had no manna leftover and those who gathered a smaller amount of manna had no lack of manna. During the 40th year of their journey to the Promised Land, 123-year-old Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses died and was divinely buried. Over 1,400 years after Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, and the Lord God stopped raining manna from heaven, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Paul (Saul) was an Israelite from the tribe of Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. Paul did not believe Jesus to be the Christ. Throughout Jerusalem, Paul persecuted and imprisoned any Israelite man or woman who believed Jesus to be the Christ of God. When Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus, Syria, to find, bind and take to Jerusalem any Israelite believers he found, Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them. Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, and Paul spoke to Jesus and obeyed Jesus. In Damascus Paul was baptized. From thenceforward, Paul the apostle journeyed and wrote divinely inspired letters, teaching Israelites and Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes, the good news of Jesus the Christ and everlasting life. Timothy (Timotheus) was born to a Gentile father and a mother, Eunice, who was an Israelite and a believer. After Paul met Timothy, Paul circumcised Timothy, and Paul and Timothy journeyed together, separately and with others. Titus was a Gentile. Paul did not circumcise Titus before they journeyed together, separately and with others.
