...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

Blessed Dressed List

The Lord God speaks to Moses:

And Aaron and his sons thou shalt bring unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shalt wash them with water. And thou shalt take the garments, and put upon Aaron the coat, and the robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breastplate, and gird him with the curious girdle of the ephod: And thou shalt put the mitre upon his head, and put the holy crown upon the mitre. Then shalt thou take the anointing oil, and pour it upon his head, and anoint him. And thou shalt bring his sons, and put coats upon them. And thou shalt gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons, and put the bonnets on them: and the priest's office shall be theirs for a perpetual statute: and thou shalt consecrate Aaron and his sons
.
-Exodus 29:4-9***Aaron and his brother Moses were Israelites from the tribe of Levi, descended from Adam and Eve, their son Seth, Seth's great-great-great-grandson Enoch, Enoch's great-grandson Noah the ark builder, Noah's son Shem, Shem's son Arphaxad, Arphaxad's great-great-great-great-great-grandson Terah, Terah's children Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), their son Isaac and his wife Rebekah, Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. Months after 80-year-old Moses and 83-year-old Aaron led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them, and the Lord God began giving Moses judgments, statutes and laws for the Israelites. When Moses was on Mount Sinai with the Lord God for 40 days and nights,  the Lord God gave Moses commands and showed Moses the likeness for making the tabernacle, and sacred items, and garments for the priests. Only Aaron and Aaron's sons and the sons born to their descendants were to serve the Lord God as priests. The Lord God told Moses to make a breastplate, ephod (vestment), robe, tunic coat, miter (headpiece), and girdle (sash/waistband). The ephod, sash and breastplate were to be of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine linen. Two onyx stones were to be engraved with the names of the 12 Israelite tribes, 6 names per stone, listed according to the birth order of the 12 sons born to Jacob, his wives Leah and Rachel and maidservants Bilhah and Zilpah. One engraved stone was to be upon each shoulder of the ephod. There were to be 4 rows of precious gems on the breastplate, with 3 jewels in each row, and the name of 1 Israelite tribe engraved on each stone. The breastplate was to be attached to the ephod using blue cord and gold rings. The robe was to be made of blue material, with blue, purple and scarlet pomegranates and gold bells alternating around the hem. The tunic and headpiece were to be made of fine linen, and a plate of pure gold with specially engraved words was to be attached to the front of the headpiece with a blue cord. Before the Lord God sent Moses back to the Israelites, the Lord God gave Moses 2 stone tablets  whereupon were written, with the finger of God, the Ten Commandments. During the 40th year of their journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, was from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Jacob and Rachel's firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Over 1,400 years after Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants,
Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal Jesus to be the apostle and high priest of our confession, a great high priest.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus 8:1-10:20, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
