For One or More Reasons

King Jehoram, ruler of Judah

Jehoram was thirty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem. And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, like as did the house of Ahab: for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife: and he wrought that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD. Howbeit the LORD would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a light to him and to his sons for ever. In his days the Edomites revolted from under the dominion of Judah, and made themselves a king. Then Jehoram went forth with his princes, and all his chariots with him: and he rose up by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him in, and the captains of the chariots. So the Edomites revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. The same time also did Libnah revolt from under his hand; because he had forsaken the LORD God of his fathers. Moreover he made high places in the mountains of Judah and caused the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit fornication, and compelled Judah thereto. And there came a writing to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of David thy father, Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah. But hast walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like to the whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also hast slain thy brethren of thy father's house, which were better than thyself: Behold, with a great plague will the LORD smite thy people, and thy children, and thy wives, and all thy goods: And thou shalt have great sickness by disease of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness day by day. Moreover the LORD stirred up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines, and of the Arabians, that were near the Ethiopians: And they came up into Judah, and brake into it, and carried away all the substance that was found in the king's house, and his sons also, and his wives; so that there was never a son left him, save Jehoahaz, the youngest of his sons. And after all this the LORD smote him in his bowels with an incurable disease. And it came to pass, that in process of time, after the end of two years, his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness: so he died of sore diseases. And his people made no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers. Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years, and departed without being desired. Howbeit they buried him in the city of David, but not in the sepulchres of the kings
.
-2 Chronicles 21:5-20
***King Jehoram (Joram), King Ahab, King David, King Jehoshaphat, King Asa, and Elijah the prophet were Israelites, descendants of Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel). The Edomites descended from Jacob's older fraternal twin brother Esau (Edom). David was the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Abraham was a friend of God, and David was a man after God's own heart. Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites. Solomon was married to 700 idol worshiping princesses from other nations. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Rehoboam and his son Abijam (Abijah), the 2nd king to rule Judah, did not worship the Lord God. Abijah's son Asa, the 3rd king, and Asa's son Jehoshaphat, the 4th king, worshiped the Lord God. Jehoshaphat's son Jehoram, the 5th king to rule Judah, did not worship the Lord God. Jehoram was married to Athaliah, the daughter of Ahab. Ahab was the 7th king to reign over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel, and Ahab and Athaliah were idol worshipers. Jehoram and Athaliah's son Ahaziah was the 6th king to rule Judah. When Ahaziah died after being attacked and wounded, Athaliah became the only woman, and the only person not descended from David, to rule Judah. Athaliah commanded that her descendants be killed. Similarly, approximately 9 years earlier, Jehoram commanded that his brothers and other prominent Israelites be killed. During Jehoram's 8-year reign, he received a correspondence from Elijah, although Elijah went up into heaven by a whirlwind years earlier. Over 800 years after Athaliah was killed, and Joash (Jehoash), the son born to Ahaziah and Zibiah, became the 7th king to rule Judah, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah, the tribe of David, Solomon and all of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-2:17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Reference Scriptures:
And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign. And they buried him in his own sepulchre, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours and divers kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries' art: and they made a very great burning for him.-2 Chronicles 16:13-14

But thou shalt die in peace: and with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings which were before thee, so shall they burn odours for thee; and they will lament thee, saying, Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, saith the LORD.-Jeremiah 34:5

Keep in Mind

From the Epistle of Jude
in the New Testament of the Holy Bible:

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.-Jude 1:14-25***The Lord God created Adam, the 1st man, and the Lord God made Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. Seth and his siblings were physically conceived and born born to Adam and Eve. Enos was born to Seth, Cainan was born to Enos, Mahalaleel was born to Cainan, Jared was born to Mahalaleel, and Enoch, the 7th from Adam, was born to Jared. Enoch walked with the Lord God, and proclaimed divine revelations, and pleased the Lord God, and was taken up by the Lord God without experiencing death. Elijah and his successor Elisha were prophets of the Lord God, and were descended from Enoch's great-grandson Noah the ark builder, and Noah's son Shem, and Shem's son Arphaxad, and Arphaxad's great-great-great-great-great-grandson Terah, and Terah's children Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), their son Isaac and his wife Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel). The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Elijah went up into heaven by a whirlwind without experiencing death. Over 800 years after Elisha began proclaiming the words of the Lord God to the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Jacob's 3rd born son Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens trying open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. In a synagogue in Nazareth, Galilee, Jesus spoke about the life and prophecy of Elijah. Simon Peter, James and John were the disciples and apostles most constantly with Jesus. They were with Jesus on a mountain and saw Jesus speaking with Elijah and Moses, another prophet who had lived centuries before Jesus was born.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings 1:1-2:25, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17,3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, Hebrews 11:1-40, Jude

Reference Scriptures:
For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.-Acts 20:29-30

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,-2 Peter 3:3

Some Explaining

From the Epistle to the Hebrews,
in the New Testament of the Holy Bible:

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.-Hebrews 11:1-7***Centuries before the Lord God made a covenant with Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and gave Canaan, land inhabited by idolaters, to Abraham, and to Abraham's descendants, the Lord God identified Abel as righteous. Cain, Abel and Seth were born to Adam and Eve. The Lord God created Adam, the 1st man, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. Enoch was Seth's great-great-great-grandson. Enoch walked with the Lord God and spoke prophetically of spiritual events. Noah the ark builder was Enoch's great-grandson. Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord God, and walked with the Lord God, and was a proclaimer of righteousness, and the Lord God identified Noah as righteous. Abraham and Sarah (Sarai) were the great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandchildren of Noah. Abraham believed the Lord God, and Abraham's faith was credited as righteousness, and Abraham was a friend of God. Decades after Isaac was born to 100-year-old Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah, the Lord God appeared to Isaac and told Isaac that he would give Canaan to him and his descendants. Jacob (Israel) was the youngest fraternal twin son born to 60-year-old Isaac and his wife Rebekah. Decades after Jacob was born, Jacob saw the Lord God in a dream and the Lord God promised to give Canaan to Jacob and Jacob's descendants. Joshua was an Israelite from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, their firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Over 400 years after Joshua led his fellow Israelites (Hebrews/Jews), across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, Solomon the 2nd child born to King David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to reign. Less than 220 years after Jeroboam's son Nadab became the 2nd king to rule the northern nation, the Assyrians invaded the kingdom and conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Rehoboam's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Zedekiah (Mattaniah) was the 19th king to rule Judah. During the 11th year of Zedekiah's reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah, the tribe of David, Solomon and all of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Jacob's 3rd born son Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that through the disobedience of Adam people were made sinners, and through the obedience of Jesus people will be made righteous. Notably, before Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, and after Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven less than 3 1/2 years after he was baptized, the Roman Empire was ruling the land whereupon the kingdoms of the Israelites previously stood.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:20, 2 Chronicles, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, Romans 4:1-25, Galatians 3:1-29, Hebrews, James 2:1-26

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.-Genesis 1:1

And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. The Bottom Line

And he went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them. And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him. And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him. And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners? When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.-Mark 2:13-17 ***Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, saw and spoke to Levi, the Israelite and publican, when Levi was working at a tax and toll booth-house collecting fees under the authority of the Roman Empire. Levi was apparently also identified as Matthew. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that over 2,000 years ago, Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Matthew (Levi) was 1 of the 12 disciples and apostles sitting at the table with Jesus immediately before the disciple and apostle Judas Iscariot left to betray Jesus. Jesus spoke to the remaining 11  men, and Jesus prayed to his Father, the Lord God in heaven, and Jesus was strengthened by an angel. After Judas Iscariot returned with an armed group, Jesus was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Reference Information:

The divinely inspired writer of Proverbs Chapter 8, widely regarded to be King Solomon, the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, revealed that those who find wisdom obtain favor from the Lord God. In Proverbs Chapter 12 it is revealed that those who are good obtain favor from the Lord God. Proverbs Chapter 18 reveals that men who find a wife obtain favor from the Lord God. Over 900 years after Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, became the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, the Lord God sent Gabriel the angel to speak to Mary, a virgin who was pledged to wed Joseph. Before Gabriel told Mary that Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, would be conceived of the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb when Mary was a virgin, Gabriel told Mary that Mary found favor with God. Months thereafter, Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah, the tribe of Solomon and all of the kings who reigned in Jerusalem over Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-11:43, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles 1:1-9:31, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Wise and Wisdom and Foolish and Fools

Proverbs Chapter 8:

1.Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
2.She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.
3.She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.
4.Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.

5.O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
6.Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
7.For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
8.All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
9.They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
10.Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
11.For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

12.I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.
13.The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
14.Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.
15.By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
16.By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
17.I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
18.Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.
19.My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
20.I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
21.That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

22.The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
23.I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
24.When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.
25.Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
26.While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
27.When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
28.When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
29.When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
30.Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
31.Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

32.Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.
33.Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
34.Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
35.For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
36.But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

Where, Oh Where

From the words spoken by Job after his friend Bildad
spoke for the third time while visiting Job,
when Job was in the midst of suffering:

But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding? Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living. The depth saith, It is not in me: and the sea saith, It is not with me. It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof. It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire. The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the exchange of it shall not be for jewels of fine gold. No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom is above rubies. The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold. Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding? Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air. Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears. God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof. For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven; To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the waters by measure. When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder: Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yea, and searched it out. And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding
.-Job 28:12-28***The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that wisdom is more precious than rubies, and wisdom is better than rubies, and a woman of strength, a virtuous woman of noble character, has a worth far above rubies. Job was a wealthy husband, father and property owner and only worshiped the Lord God. Centuries after the Lord God spoke to Job and Job's friend Eliphaz, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. Jesus spoke about wisdom being justified, and Jesus spoke of the Wisdom of God.-Genesis 1:1-3:24, 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Job, Proverbs 3:1-35, 8:1-36, 31:1-31, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 2 Timothy 3:1-17
