The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born. Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake. Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved. Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake. He then lying on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it? Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste? For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor. When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her. Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.-Matthew 26:6-16

From the First Epistle of John,
in the New Testament of the Holy Bible:

He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.-1 John 5:12-15***Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born into the Israelite tribe of Judah to Joseph and his wife Mary, a virgin, after being conceived of the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb when Mary was a virgin. Jesus was born in Bethlehem in the southern province of Judea. However, Jesus lived with Joseph and Mary and the other children in their household in Nazareth, in the northern province of Galilee. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. While on the mountain, as Simon Peter was speaking to Jesus, the Lord God audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus. Sometime thereafter, before The Last Supper, and before Jesus was betrayed,  arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven, the Lord God audibly responded to the words of Jesus the Christ. For My Sake and for Thy Sake

Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul. I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God. They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away. O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee. Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel. Worse Perverse

From a letter written by the apostle Paul

 to Timothy: 

But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. Their Place Was Too Large

and their portion of the Promised Land:

And the second lot came forth to Simeon, even for the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families: and their inheritance was within the inheritance of the children of Judah. And they had in their inheritance Beer-sheba, and Sheba, and Moladah, And Hazar-shual, and Balah, and Azem, And Eltolad, and Bethul, and Hormah, And Ziklag, and Beth-marcaboth, and Hazar-susah, And Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen; thirteen cities and their villages: Ain, Remmon, and Ether, and Ashan; four cities and their villages: And all the villages that were round about these cities to Baalath-beer, Ramath of the south. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families. Out of the portion of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon: for the part of the children of Judah was too much for them: therefore the children of Simeon had their inheritance within the inheritance of them.-Joshua 19:1-9***Aaron and his younger brother Moses were Israelites from the tribe of Levi. Joshua was an Israelite from the tribe of Ephraim. Aaron, Moses and Joshua were descendants of Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son  Jacob (Israel). Levi was the 3rd son born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah. Ephraim was the 2nd son born to Joseph and Asenath, and Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel. Forty years after Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness, Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor.  Shortly thereafter, the Lord God gave Moses commands for dividing Canaan, the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. The amount of land each tribe inherited was to based on the number of people in the tribe, and the location of each tribe's inherited land was to be determined by the casting of lots. The whole decision of each lot cast, according to the divinely inspired writer of Proverbs 16:33, widely regarded to be King Solomon, was from the Lord God. Reuben was the 1st son born to Jacob and Leah. Gad was the 1st son born to Jacob and maidservant Zilpah. Sometime after the Lord God gave Moses the commands for dividing the land, Israelites from the tribes of Reuben and Gad revealed that they wanted to settle on some of the fertile land that the Israelites had already passed through and conquered during their journey to the Promised Land. The Reubenites and Gadites did not want to make their homes in Canaan, on the other side of the Jordan River. Moreover, half of the tribe of Manasseh also received permission from Moses to make their homes on the same side of the Jordan River as the Reubenites and Gadites. Thus, only the tribes of Jacob and Leah's sons Simeon, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun, and the tribe of Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin, and the tribe of Ephraim, and the other 1/2 of the tribe of Manasseh, and the tribe of Jacob and Zilpah's son Asher, and the tribes of Dan and Naphtali, descendants born to Jacob and maidservant Bilhah, were given their inheritances by Joshua, and Aaron's son Eleazar the priest, and the 10 tribal leaders appointed by the Lord God. The tribe of Simeon, the smallest tribe at the time, received some of the land that was too large for the tribe of Judah. The tribe of Levi did not receive an inheritance inasmuch as the Lord God proclaimed that he was their inheritance. After 120-year-old Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land. Over 1,300 years after Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Hear Ye, Hear Ye

And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded: And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you. Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law. But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them. And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries. And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity. Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.-2 Chronicles 15:1-7

And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD. And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him. So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa. And they offered unto the LORD the same time, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep. And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul; That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets. And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about.-2 Chronicles 15:8-15***King Asa was the 3rd king to rule Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land. Asa's great-great-grandfather King David was the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land. Solomon, the 2nd son born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to reign. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah, the nation in the south, consisted of the tribe of Judah and the tribe of Benjamin. Israel was the northern nation, comprised of the other Israelite tribes, including the tribe of Ephraim, and the tribe of Simeon, and 1/2 the tribe of Manasseh. However, when the tribe of Simeon was allotted their portion of the Promised Land, they were given land within the area allotted to the tribe of Judah. Thus, the tribe of Simeon was located in the south, yet was under the rulership of the northern nation. The Israelite tribes are the family groups of the 12 sons born to Jacob and his wives Leah and Rachel and maidservants Bilhah and Zilpah. The tribe of Jacob and Rachel's firstborn son Joseph became known as the tribe of Manasseh and the tribe of Ephraim. Manasseh and Ephraim were the sons born to Joseph and his wife Asenath. However, Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim to be his own sons. Asa's father King Abijam  (Abijah) was the 2nd king to rule Judah, and Abijam's father Rehoboam was the 1st king to rule Judah. Jeroboam was the 1st king to rule the northern nation of Israel, and Samaria was the final royal city. King Pekah was the 18th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. During Pekah's reign, the Assyrians invaded the kingdom and began taking Israelites to Assyria. During the reign of King Hoshea, the 19th king to rule the northern nation, the Assyrians conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Asa's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson King Jehoiakim (Eliakim) was the 17th king to rule Judah. During Jehoiakim's reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah and Jerusalem, the royal city, and began looting the temple of the Lord. During the reign of Jehoiakims's son King Jehoiachin (Jeconiah/Coniah) the 18th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians began taking Israelites to Babylon. During the reign of Jehoiakim's brother King Zedekiah (Mattaniah) the 19th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born.
