...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

He Wrote, and He Similarly Wrote

Psalm 15 - written by David, the 2nd king
to reign over all of the Israelites
in the Promised Land:

LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not. He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.-Psalm 15:1-5/the complete psalm

Psalm 24 - written by King David:

The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.-Psalm 24:1-6

From Isaiah Chapter 33,
written by Isaiah the prophet:

Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might. The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.-Isaiah 33:13-16

 Background Information:

David was an Israelite from the tribe of Judah, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah. Within the 70 years of David's life, David went from being the shepherd of the sheep that belonged to his elderly father Jesse, to being a musician and an armor-bearer for King Saul, the 1st king to reign over the Israelites in the Promised Land, to being king only over the tribe of Judah, to being the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites. David was also a warrior, husband, father, and psalmist. In Psalm 15 and Psalm 24 in the Holy Bible, David was divinely inspired to write about the people who will be within the place of sacredness available only by the Lord God. In Chapter 33 of the Book of Isaiah in the Holy Bible, the Lord God revealed information to Isaiah, an Israelite and a prophet of the Lord God, regarding the actions of people who will be within the sacred place of the Lord God and the devouring fire mentioned in the Book of Exodus in the Holy Bible. Over 650 years after Isaiah proclaimed the messages of the Lord God to the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. In Galilee, Jesus taught about righteousness, perjury, and those who will see the Lord God. those who will see God, -Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings 1:1-2:25, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, Isaiah 1:1-31, 33:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
