Jesus the Christ/the Word/ the Son of God, 

and John the Baptist:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.-John 1:1-5

There was  a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.-John 1:6-8

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.-John 1:9-13

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.-John 1:14-17

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.-John 1:18

From a letter written by the apostle Paul (Saul)

to believers in Galatia, years after

Jesus the Christ, the Son of God,

was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb,

resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven:

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.-Galatians 5:13-15

Hear Ye, Hear Ye

From the Epistle of James,

in the New Testament of the Holy Bible:

Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats? Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called? If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.-James 2:5-13***Months after Moses and his older brother Aaron led their fellow Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, Moses, Aaron, and those with them, were in the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai. The Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them. The Israelites were afraid of the consequences of hearing the voice of the Lord God and wanted Moses to relay the words of the Lord God to them. The Lord God agreed to the request, and the Lord God began giving Moses judgments, statutes and laws for the Israelites. Moses, Aaron, Aaron's son Nadab and Abihu, and 70 Israelite elders went upon Mount Sinai, according to the command of the Lord God. Moses was eventually upon Mount Sinai with the Lord God for 40 days and nights. The Lord God gave Moses commands for an offering to be collected and the sacred items to be made, including the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the tabernacle. The divinely inspired Scripture of the Holy Bible reveal that Moses was upon Mount Sinai with the Lord God 2 separate times. Each time, Moses fasted for 40 days and nights and each time the Lord God gave Moses 2 stone tablets whereupon were written, with the finger of God, the Ten Commandments. Moses purposefully broke the original 2 tablets after he saw the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. During the 40th year of their journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, 123-year-old Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. Less than 450 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Rehoboam, the son born to King Solomon and Naamah, became the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Less than 200 years after Rehoboam's son Nadab became the 2nd king to rule the northern nation of Israel, the Assyrians invaded the kingdom and conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Less than 140 years after Samaria was conquered, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah and conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem, approximately 6 miles from Jerusalem, into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah, the tribe of Solomon and all of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary,  Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Jacob's 3rd born son Levi, the birth tribe of Aaron and Moses. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. In a response, Jesus taught that to love the Lord God with all one's heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love one's neighbor as one's self are the 2 foremost commandments. Jesus explained that he had come to fulfill the law and the Prophets, and the law and the Prophets were until John the Baptist. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, the disciple and apostle. Jesus was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven. Years thereafter, the apostle Paul (Saul) was divinely inspired to write that love is the fulfillment of the law and all the law is fulfilled in loving one's neighbor as one's self. But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments; And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.-Leviticus 26:14-17

And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass: And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits. And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins. I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate.-Leviticus 26:18-22

And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me; Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins. And I will bring a sword upon you that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.-Leviticus 26:23-26

And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat. And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you. And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours. Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths. As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it. And upon them that are left alive of you I will send  a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth. And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies. And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up. And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.-Leviticus 26:34-39

If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they walked contrary unto me; And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land. The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.-Leviticus 26:40-43

And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God. But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD. These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.-Leviticus 26:44-46

A message the Lord God revealed to Zechariah

 the prophet when the Israelites were living in

Jerusalem and Judah in the Promised Land

again, after spending almost 70 years in

Babylonian (Chaldean)  captivity:

And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart. But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear. Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts. Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts: But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.-Zechariah 7:8-14

At That Time

Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, 
speaks to some Pharisees:

At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple. But if ye had known what this meaneth, I  will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless. For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.-Matthew 12:1-8

The Way You Were

From a letter written by Peter (Simon)
 to believers dispersed throughout Asia Minor (Turkey):

Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.-1 Peter 2:1-10***Simon Peter was an Israelite descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel). Centuries before Simon Peter was divinely inspired to write of pure milk, growth and salvation, Job told his friends that he treasured the words of the Lord God more than necessary food. At least 1,400 years before Simon Peter wrote of believers being a holy and royal priesthood, a chosen family of the Lord God and a people for his possession, the Lord God gave Moses  a message for the Israelites. The Lord God identified the Israelites as his peculiar treasure, his chosen people, a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. Approximately 400 years after Moses went upon Mount Nebo, and the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses died and was divinely buried, David, from the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah, became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites. David wrote of tasting and seeing that the Lord is good. Over 900 years after 70-year-old David died and was buried in the City of David, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Jacob's 3rd born son Levi, the birth tribe of Moses. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men, including Simon Peter, to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, the disciple and apostle, and Jesus was arrested. Before Jesus was crucified and buried in a tomb, Simon Peter, 1 of the 3 disciples and apostles most constantly with Jesus, denied knowledge of Jesus. More Plus More Because of the Lord

But Samuel ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded with a linen ephod. Moreover his mother made him a little coat, and brought it to him from year to year, when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice. And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The LORD give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the LORD. And they went unto their own home. And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD.-1 Samuel 2:18-21***Years before Samuel, the priest, prophet and judge, was born into the tribe of Levi to Elkanah and Hannah, many sons and daughters were born to Elkanah and Peninnah, Elkanah's other wife. Hannah was childless and was mocked by Peninnah. When Hannah was in Shiloh outside the tabernacle of the Lord God, Hannah prayed to the Lord God and cried and vowed that if the Lord God gave her a son she would give the son to the Lord God. Eli the priest was watching Hannah and thought Hannah was drunk. After Eli spoke to Hannah and understood Hannah's prayer, Eli spoke in prophetic agreement of Hannah's prayer to the Lord God. When a son was born to Elkanah and Hannah, according to the will of the Lord God, Hannah named the child Samuel. After Samuel was weaned, Hannah took Samuel to live at the tabernacle complex in Shiloh. When Samuel was young, Samuel heard the voice of the Lord God calling him, and Samuel told Eli all the words that the Lord God had spoken to him. When Samuel was older, Samuel explained to the Israelites the actions that must occur before the Lord God delivered the Israelites from the Philistines. After the Israelites obeyed the commands of the Lord God, Samuel prayed and cried to the Lord God and sacrificed a burnt offering to the Lord God. When Samuel was very old, and his sons Joel (Vashni) and Abiah were not obeying the commands of the Lord God, and King Nahash and his Ammonite army were preparing to attack, the Israelite elders demanded Samuel establish a king to lead them. Samuel prayed and listened to the words of the Lord God and told the Israelites all the words he heard from the Lord God. According to the command of the Lord God, Samuel anointed Saul, from the tribe of Benjamin, and Saul became the 1st king to reign over the Israelites in the Promised Land. Samuel presented Saul to the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God, and spoke to the Israelites, and recounted some of the history and disobedience of the Israelites. Moreover, Samuel prayed to the Lord God and told the Israelites that he would not stop praying for them and that he would teach them the good and right way. At least twice, Saul did not obey the commands of the Lord God. The Lord God rejected the kingship of Saul, and the Lord God sent Samuel to anoint David, from the tribe of Judah, to reign as king. Before Samuel died and was buried in Ramah (Ramathaim), his birthplace and hometown, and before 37-year-old David began reigning in Jerusalem over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, Samuel and David seemingly worked together regarding the presence of gatekeepers at the tabernacle. Over 900 years after Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born.
