...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

Always and Forever

And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age; and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible. And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.-Luke 1:26-38***Elizabeth (Elisabeth) and Mary were relatives and their time of maternity and childbirth were months apart. Elizabeth was married to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and Mary was pledged to wed Joseph the craftsman. Before Elizabeth was carrying a child in her womb, Gabriel, an angel of the Lord God, spoke about the child, John the Baptist, who would be born to Zechariah and Elizabeth. Before Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb when Mary was a virgin, Gabriel brought the words and message of the Lord God to Mary. After Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb when Mary was a virgin, an angel of the Lord God brought the words and message of the Lord God to Joseph. Months after John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah and Elizabeth, Jesus the Christ was born into the tribe of Judah to Joseph and Mary. Judah was the 4th son born to Jacob (Israel) and Leah. Levi was Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son. Over 800 years after Levi, Judah and their siblings were born, David was born into the tribe of Judah. Over a decade after David was born, Samuel the priest, prophet and judge anointed David to reign as king, according to the commands of the Lord God. When David was 30 years old, he began to reign only over the tribe of Judah in the Promised Land. When David was 37 1/2 years old, he became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites in the land that the Lord God promised to give to Jacob, and to Jacob's father Isaac, and to Isaac's father Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to their descendants. Over 900 years after 70-year old David died, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-2:12, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 10:1-29:30, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
