...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD. This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth: And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died. And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos: And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died. And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan: And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died. And Cainan lived seventy years and begat Mahalaleel: And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died. And Mahalalaeel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared: And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died. And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch: And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died. And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.-Genesis 4:25-5:24***Cain and Abel were born to Adam and Eve. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God created Adam, the 1st man. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. Cain killed Abel after they each brought an offering to the Lord God. The exact number of years that Abel, Cain and Eve lived are unknown. However, the number of years that Adam and some of the men descended from Adam and Eve's son Seth lived are revealed in the Holy Bible. Enoch's great-grandson Noah the ark builder lived 950 years. Noah's son Shem lived 600 years, and Shem's son Arphaxad lived 438 years. Arphaxad's great-great-great-great-great-grandson Terah lived 205 years. Terah's son Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) lived 175 years, and Terah's daughter Sarah (Sarai) lived 127 years. When Abraham and Sarah's only child Isaac was 40 years old, he was married to Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece. When Isaac was 60 years old, fraternal twins son Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Isaac and Rebekah. Decades thereafter, Jacob was married to Rebekah's nieces Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Levi was the 3rd son born to Jacob and Leah, Judah was their 4th born son, and Joseph was Jacob and Rachel's firstborn son. After 180-year-old Isaac died, Esau and Jacob buried Isaac's body in the cave wherein the bodies of Sarah and Abraham were buried. After 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt, his family buried Jacob's body in that same cave in Canaan. Over 800 years after 110-year-old Joseph died in Egypt, and Moses took Joseph's bones with him to Canaan, the Promised Land, and the Israelites buried Joseph's bones in Shechem, Jehoiada the priest was born into the tribe of Levi. Over 750 years after 130-year-old Jehoiada died and his body was buried in the city of DavidJesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem, approximately 6 miles from the City of David, into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Less than 33 1/2 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot the disciple and apostle, and Jesus was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected,  seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven. Years thereafter, the divinely inspired Epistle to the Hebrews was written, and the reason that the Lord God took Enoch was revealed.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, Hebrews
