The Lord God, and King Balak, and Balaam

And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in the plains of Moab on this side Jordan by Jericho. And Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites. And Moab was sore afraid of the people, because they were many: and Moab was distressed because of the children of Israel. And Moab said unto the elders of Midian, Now shall this company lick up all that are round about us, as the ox licketh up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor was king of the Moabites at that time. He sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they  cover the face of the earth, and they abide over against me: Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed. And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewards of divination in their hand; and they came unto Balaam, and spake unto him the words of Balak. And he said unto them, Lodge here this night, and I will bring you word again, as the LORD shall speak unto me: and the princes of Moab abode with Balaam. And God came unto Balaam, and said, What men are these with thee? And Balaam said unto God, Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, hath sent unto me, saying, Behold, there is a people come out of Egypt, which covereth the face of the earth: come now, curse me them; peradventure I shall be able to overcome them, and drive them out. And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed. Joseph was 17 years old when his brothers sold him to merchants traveling to Egypt and led Jacob to believe that Joseph was killed by a wild beast, and Joseph was 30 years old when Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, proclaimed him second-in-command. Jacob was 130 years old when he moved with his family from Canaan to Egypt. In Egypt, Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim, the sons born to Joseph and his wife Asenath, to be his own sons, and the tribe of Joseph became the tribe of Manasseh and the tribe of Ephraim. Sometime after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt, and Jacob's family buried his body in Canaan, and 110-year-old Joseph and his siblings were dead, the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Before Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, into the desert wilderness of Shur, and the desert wilderness of Sin, the Israelites asked for and were given an abundance of valuable goods, fulfilling the words that the Lord God spoke to Abraham. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them, and the Lord God began giving Moses judgments, statutes and laws for the Israelites, and the Lord give made a covenant with the Israelites, and the Israelites said they would obey the words of the Lord God. When Moses was upon Mount Sinai 40 days and nights with the Lord God, the Lord Gods gave Moses commands about the offering willing Israelites were to bring, and the Lord God described to Moses and showed Moses the likeness of the tabernacle, and the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and the other sacred items the Israelites were commanded to make, and the Lord God told Moses that only Aaron, and Aaron's sons and the sons born to their descendants were to serve the Lord God as priests. In Rephidim, the Israelites defeated the Amalekites. The Israelites were in the desert wilderness of Paran when some of them disobeyed the command of the Lord God, and were driven back by the Amalekites and Canaanites. During the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam the prophetess died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron the high priest died. The Canaanite ruler of Arad attacked and captured some Israelites, and the Israelites made a vow to the Lord God. The Lord God delivered up the Canaanites, and the Israelites destroyed the Canaanite king and his cities. After the Israelites sent a message to King Sihon, an Amorite ruler, Sihon united his people and attacked the Israelites. The Israelitess killed Sihon and the Amorites in his kingdom, and cast out the Amorites in Jazer (Jaazer). The Israelites in the tribe of Reuben and the tribe of Gad made a request, and they agreed to the terms presented, and Moses gave the tribe of Reuben, and the tribe of Gad and 1/2 the tribe of Manasseh the land recently conquered. At Edrei, when King Og, the gigantic ruler of Bashan, came forth to battle the Israelites, the Lord God gave Moses a command, and the Israelites killed Og and the Amorites in his kingdom, and conquered their land. Approximately 1,400 years after King Balak, a Moabite ruler, sent 2 separate groups of messengers to Balaam the soothsayer (diviner), Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.-2 Peter 2:9-16

These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. Arphaxad was born to Shem. Shem was born to Noah the ark builder. Noah was the great-grandson of Enoch. Enoch was the great-great-great-grandson of Seth. Seth was born to 130-year-old Adam and Eve. Adam was the 1st man. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God created the heavens and the earth in the beginning, and on the 6th day the Lord God created Adam. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. When Abraham was 99 years old, the Lord God gave Abraham the covenant of circumcision, and Abraham circumcised 13-year-old Ishmael, and Abraham and the males throughout Abraham's household and property were immediately circumcised. Haran's son Lot lived near Sodom. Abraham and Sarah were living in Hebron, in the Mamre region. The Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God and 2 angels visited Abraham, and Abraham guided the 2 angels toward Sodom and returned to his tent, and asked the Lord God about Sodom and any righteous inhabitants. In Sodom, Lot insisted that the 2 angels stay inside his home. A group of men gathered at Lot's door, and Lot went outside and spoke to the men. The 2 angels pulled Lot back inside his home, and struck the men with blindness. The 2 angels questioned Lot and told Lot about Sodom's upcoming destruction. In the morning, the angels seized Lot's hand, and the hand of Lot's wife, and the hand of Lot's oldest daughter, and the hand of Lot's youngest daughter, and the angels led Lot, and Lot's wife and 2 daughters out of the house and city. The Lord God rained brimstone and fire from out of the heavens upon Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboim, and the surrounding region. Lot's wife looked back and became a pillar of salt. Lot and his daughters settled in a cave, and Moab and Ben-ammi were born. Moab, the forefather of the Moabites, was born to Lot and Lot's oldest daughter, and Ben-ammi, the forefather of the Ammonites, was born to Lot and Lot's youngest daughter. Isaac was born to 100-year-old Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah. On the 8th day after Isaac was born, Abraham circumcised Isaac. During a feast to celebrate Isaac being weaned, Sarah saw Ishmael's behavior and told Abraham to cast out Hagar and Ishmael. The Lord God spoke to Abraham, and Abraham sent Hagar and Ishmael away. King Balak, ruler of the Moabites, heard about the Israelites and their recent victories over the Canaanite ruler of Arad, and Amorite King Sihon, and the Amorites in Jazer (Jaazer), and Amorite King Og, the gigantic ruler of Bashan. Balak sent messengers, with a payment, to Balaam, a known diviner (soothsayer), to bring him to curse the Israelites. The Lord God spoke to Balaam, and Balaam obeyed the Lord God and refused to go with the messengers. Balak sent another group of messengers to Balaam, and the Lord God gave Balaam a command, and Balaam went with the messengers. During the journey, Balaam's donkey saw the angel of the Lord, and went into the field, and against the wall, and crushed Balaam's foot. The 3rd time that Balaam hit the donkey, the Lord God opened the donkey's mouth. The donkey spoke to Balaam, and Balaam spoke to the donkey, and the Lord God opened Balaam's eyes, and Balaam saw the angel of the Lord. The angel of the Lord spoke to Balaam, and Balaam spoke to the angel of the Lord, and obeyed the angel of the Lord, and went to Balak, and obeyed the Lord God, and eventually perceived that it pleased the Lord God to bless the Israelites. Amid a battle between the Israelites and the Midianites, the descendants of Abraham and his 2nd wife Keturah and their son Midian, the Israelites killed Balaam. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died, and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' aide and successor from the tribe of Ephraim, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Over 1,300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died, and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. On the 8th day after John the Baptist was born, he was circumcised, and on the 8th day after Jesus the Christ was born, Jesus was circumcised. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men, including Simon Peter, to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot the disciple and apostle, and Jesus was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, including Simon Peter, and returned to heaven. He Said That the Lord God Said

Events that occurred after the Israelites defeated

Amorite rulers King Sihon and King Og,

and after King Balak, ruler of the Moabites,

sent for Balaam the soothsayer, 

and the Lord God spoke to Balaam,

and the angel of the Lord spoke to

 Balaam, and Balaam went to Balak:

And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams. And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram. And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place.-Numbers 23:1-3 

And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar a bullock and a ram. And the LORD put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.-Numbers 23:4-6

And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel. How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied? For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations. He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them. God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn. Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination again Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought! Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.-Numbers 23:17-24

And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all. But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the LORD speaketh, that I must do? And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence. Certain Men

From the Epistle of Jude
in the New Testament of the Holy Bible,

written sometime after 

Jesus the Christ, the Son of God,

was betrayed, arrested, crucified,

buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by

over 500 people, and returned to heaven:

Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.-Jude 1:1-4
