...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Romans 15:4 (KJV) reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

Memories to Teach Your Faith to Speak

Moses speaks to his fellow Israelites:

For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for? And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day? Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons; Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children. And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness. And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice. And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone. And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it. Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire: Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female. The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air, The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth: And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

Deuteronomy 4:7-19***Before the Lord God sent Moses and Moses' older brother Aaron to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, Moses spoke to the Lord God and described misgivings and inabilities. The Lord God told Moses that Moses was to speak the words of the Lord God to Aaron, and Aaron was to repeat the words to the Israelites and Pharaoh. Moses and Aaron went to the Israelite elders, and Aaron spoke the words and Moses performed the signs that the Lord God commanded. The Israelites believed, bowed and worshiped. Pharaoh did not believe, and did not let the Israelites go into the desert wilderness to offer sacrifices and hold a feast to the Lord God, and Pharaoh made the work of the enslaved Israelites more difficult. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt,
Pharaoh told Moses and Aaron to get the Israelites and their animals and go serve the Lord God. Moreover, Pharaoh told Moses and Aaron to bless him. Before Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, the Israelites asked for and were given an abundance of valuable goods, fulfilling the words that the Lord God spoke to their ancestor Abraham (Abram the Hebrew). In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai (Horeb), the Lord God told Moses that he would come in a thick cloud and speak to Moses so that the Israelites would hear him. On the third day, after Moses consecrated the Israelites, and the Israelites washed their clothes, according to the commands of the Lord God, the Israelites saw thunder, lightning and a thick cloud, and heard the sound of a trumpet. Mount Sinai was smoky, and the Lord God descended down upon Mount Sinai in fire. The smoke continued to rise, the mountain shook, the steady sound of the trumpet grew louder, and the Lord God called Moses to the top of Mount Sinai. After Moses returned to the Israelites, they heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them, and the Lord God began giving Moses judgments, statutes and laws for the Israelites, and the Lord God made a covenant with the Israelites, and the Israelites said they would obey the words of the Lord God. When Moses was upon Mount Sinai 40 days and nights with the Lord God, the Lord God gave Moses commands about the offering willing Israelites were to bring, and the Lord God described to Moses and showed Moses the likeness of the tabernacle, and the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and the other sacred items that the Israelites were to make, and the Lord God told Moses that only Aaron, and Aaron's sons and the sons born to their descendants were to serve the Lord God as priests, and the Lord God gave Moses 2 stone tablets whereupon were written, with the finger of God, the Ten Commandments. Meanwhile, the Israelites thought they were abandoned and told Aaron to make gods to lead them. Aaron told the Israelites to bring him their gold earrings, and Aaron made a golden calf that the Israelites worshiped. After Moses saw the golden calf and the Israelites, he threw down the 2 stone tablets and burned and ground the golden calf. Moses questioned Aaron and all the Israelites, and the Levites, the Israelites in the tribe of Levi, killed approximately 3,000 Israelite men, according to the command of the Lord God, and the Lord God caused a plague among the Israelites. Moses spoke to the Israelites, and went to the Lord God, and after the Lord God and Moses spoke to each other, Moses made a request, and the Lord God gave Moses a command. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that after Moses obeyed the command of the Lord God and was upon Mount Sinai, the Lord God descended in the cloud and stood with Moses, and made proclamations about himself, and Moses and the Lord God spoke to each other, and Moses was upon Mount Sinai 40 days and nights with the Lord God, and the Lord God gave Moses 2 stone tables whereupon were written, with the finger of God, the Ten Commandments. During the 40th year of their journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, 123-year-old Aaron the high priest died upon Mount Hor. Near Canaan, Moses began proclaiming his last messages to the Israelites, and the Lord God commanded Moses to transcribe the words to a song and teach the song to the Israelites. Joshua was Moses' aide and successor from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Abraham and his wife Sarah (Sarai), their son Isaac and his wife Rebekah, Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel) and his 2nd wife Rachel, their firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenah's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Moses and Joshua taught the song to the Israelites, and Moses spoke to the Israelites and blessed them. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died, and was divinely buried. The Lord God spoke to Joshua, and Joshua sent 2 spies to Canaan, and Rahab hid the spies, and the spies returned, and Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to  Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Over 1,300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died, and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi, the birth tribe of Aaron and Moses, to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth), Israelites descended from Jacob and his 1st wife Leah and their 3rd born son Levi. Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to the the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 1:1-5:33, 9:1-29, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
