Isaac

Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him. For all the wells which his father's servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth. And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we. And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his tent in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there.-Genesis 26:12-17***The Philistines descended from Noah the ark builder, Noah's son Ham, Ham's son Mizraim, and Mizraim's son Casluhim. The Arameans descended from Noah's son Shem, and Shem's son Aram. The Israelites descended from Shem's son Arphaxad, Arphaxad's great-great-great-great-great-grandson Terah, Terah's children Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), their son Isaac and his wife Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel). During a famine, Isaac began living in Gerar, Canaan, a region ruled by Philistine King Abimelech. The Lord God appeared to Isaac and spoke to him, and Isaac obeyed the command of the Lord God. Some of the male inhabitants in Gerar asked Isaac about Rebekah, and Isaac told the men that Rebekah was his sister. Abimelech realized the true relationship between Isaac and Rebekah and commanded that anyone who touched Issac or Rebekah would be put to death. In the Valley of Gerar, conflicts arose about the wells in the area, and Isaac moved to Beersheba, Canaan. Abimelech, and his friend Ahuzzath, and army command Phichol went to Beersheba and spoke with Isaac and made a covenant with him. When Isaac was elderly, and his eyesight was diminished, he told his oldest fraternal twin son Esau (Edom), his favorite, to hunt a specific animal and prepare a specific meal and Issac told Esau that he would bless him. Rebekah heard the conversation and prompted and prepared Jacob, her favorite, to deceive Isaac and cheat Esau. After Rebekah learned that Esau planned to kill Jacob, she spoke words to Isaac that led him to send Jacob from their home in Beersheba to Rebekah's family in Padan Aram, Haran. In Bethel (Luz), Jacob was asleep when he saw, in a dream, the angels of the Lord and saw and heard the Lord God speaking to him. During Jacob's 7th year in Haran, he was married to Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and Rachel, and Rachel and Joseph were Jacob's favorites. During Jacob's 20th year in Haran, he began journeying home to Canaan with his family, servants, animals, and possessions. Approximately 1,900 years after Benjamin was born near Bethlehem to Jacob and Rachel, and Rachel died, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Abraham was living with his family in Ur, in southern Mesopotamia, when the Lord God appeared to him and told Abraham to go out from his country, kin and father's house and come into the land he would be shown. Abraham journeyed away from Ur with his wife Sarah, their father Terah and nephew Lot and began living in Haran, in northern Mesopotamia. After 205-year-old Terah died in Haran, 75-year-old Abraham, 65-year-old Sarah, and Lot journeyed with their servants and possessions to Canaan, land inhabited by the Philistines and other idolaters that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham's descendants and childless Abraham. During a famine, Abraham, Sarah and Lot went to Egypt, and Abraham told Sarah to tell the Egyptians that she was his sister, believing that the Egyptians would otherwise take Sarah and kill him. In Egypt, Sarah was taken to the household of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and Pharaoh gave Abraham some servants and animals. The Lord God plagued Pharaoh and Pharaoh's household. Pharaoh summoned Abraham, and heard Abraham's response, and sent Abraham, Sarah and Lot out of Egypt with the servants and animals. In Canaan, conflicts arose between Abraham's herdsmen and Lot's herdsmen. Abraham suggested that they live in different regions, and Lot chose to live near Sodom. Ishmael was born to 86-year-old Abraham and Hagar, Sarah's Egyptian maidservant. When Abraham was 99 years old, the Lord God gave him the covenant of circumcision, and Abraham circumcised 13-year-old Ishmael, and Abraham and the males throughout Abraham's household and property were immediately circumcised. Abraham and Sarah were living in Gerar, Canaan, when Abraham told the inhabitants that Sarah was his sister, and Canaanite King Abimelech, ruler of Gerar, took Sarah. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God spoke to Abimelch in a dream, and Abimelech answered the Lord God, and the Lord God gave Abimelech a command. The next day, Abimelech spoke to his servants and questioned Abraham, and Abraham answered Abimelech, and Abimelech returned Sarah to Abraham, and spoke to them, and gave Abraham some servants and animals. Isaac was born to 100-year-old Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah. On the 8th day after Isaac was born, Abraham circumcised Isaac. Laban the Syrian (Aram) and Rebekah were born to Bethuel. Isaac was 40 years old when he was married to Rebekah. Fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to 60-year-old Isaac and Rebekah. Esau was Isaac's favorite, and Jacob was Rebekah's favorite. During a famine. Isaac and his family were in Gerar, and the Lord God appeared to Isaac, and gave him a command, and the Lord God spoke to Isaac about Abraham, and Canaan, and Isaac's descendants. Isaac told the men in Gerar that Rebekah was his sister, believing that they would otherwise kill him and take Rebekah. Canaanite King Abimelech saw the interaction between Isaac and Rebekah, and summoned and questioned Isaac, and listened to Isaac's response, and gave a command that would result in the death of anyone who touched Isaac or Rebekah. Isaac sowed and reaped in Gerar, and the Lord God blessed Isaac, and Isaac prospered and continued to prosper. When Isaac was elderly, and his eyesight was diminished, and he thought his death was near, he told Esau to hunt a specific animal and cook and serve him a specific meal, and said that he would bless Esau before dying. Rebekah heard Isaac's instructions and prompted and prepared Jacob to deceive Isaac and cheat Esau. After Rebekah learned that Esau planned to kill Jacob, she spoke words to Isaac that led him to send Jacob from their home in Beersheba, Canaan, to Rebekah's family in Padan Aram, Haran. During Jacob's 7th year in Haran, he was deceived by Laban and became the husband of Laban's oldest daughter Leah before he was allowed to become the husband of Laban's youngest daughter Rachel. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and Rachel. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. On the 8th day after John the Baptist was born, he was circumcised, and on the 8th day after Jesus the Christ was born, Jesus was circumcised. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God.
