Get to Gettin'

And Uzziah prepared for them throughout all the host shields, and spears, and helmets, and habergeons, and bows, and slings to cast stones. And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong. But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense. And Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him fourscore priests of the LORD, that were valiant men: And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him, It appertaineth not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the priests the sons of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary; for thou has trespassed; neither shall it be for thine honour from the LORD God.-2 Chronicles 26:14-18***King Amaziah was the 8th king to rule Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land. Uzziah (Azariah), the son born to Amaziah and Jecholiah, was the 9th king to rule Judah. Amaziah reigned for 29 years and initially only worshiped the Lord God.  Pride, disregard for the commands of the Lord God, and a warning from a prophet of the Lord God were involved in the downfall of Amaziah. Throughout Uzziah's 52-year reign, Uzziah only worshiped the Lord God. Uzziah defeated enemies, built up the army, its arsenal and the kingdom, built and fortified towers, rebuilt towns, and commanded that wells be dug and the land cultivated. Pride and disregard for the commandments that the Lord God gave regarding the tabernacle, and the incense and altar of incense, and the duties that belonged solely to the priests, led to Uzziah's downfall and leprosy affliction. The tabernacle was the transportable sanctuary built by the Israelites in the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, over 400 years before Amaziah's great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather King Solomon built the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem. Over 500 years aftr Uzziah's great-great-great-great-great-grandson Zedekiah (Mattaniah) became the 19th and last king to rule Judah, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah, the birth tribe of Solomon and all of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus 13:1-59, Numbers 16:36-40, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons.-Exodus 28:1
