...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

Unmistaken Identification

The third captain of the host for the third month was Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, a chief priest: and in his course were twenty and four thousand. This is that Benaiah, who was mighty among the thirty, and above the thirty: and in his course was Ammizabad his son.-1 Chronicles 27:5-6***Several prominent men named Benaiah are mentioned in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible. Benaiah from Kabzeel was commander of the military unit during the 3rd month of each year throughout the reign of King David. Kabzeel was in the portion of the Promised Land allotted to the tribe of Judah, David's birth tribe. Benaiah was in charge of David's team of bodyguards and was among David's 30 most mighty warriors. Benaiah killed 2 enemy Moabite warriors, and a gigantic Egyptian fighter, and a lion. Moreover, Benaiah remained loyal to David and David's son and successor King Solomon when Adonijah, the son born to David and Haggith, tried to proclaim himself king while David still reigned. Over 900 years after Solomon died and Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, became the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30,32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 15:1-63, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-14:31, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles 1:1-12:16, 20:14, 31:13, Ezra 10:25-44, Ezekiel 11:1-25, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

The Lord God Himself

Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish; That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof: That saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers: That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.-Isaiah 44:24-28***Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob (Israel) and his 2nd wife Rachel. Manasseh and Ephraim were born to Joseph and his wife Asenath. When Jacob was blessing Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, and proclaiming Manasseh and Ephraim to be his own sons, Jacob proclaimed the Lord God to be the God of his father Isaac and grandfather Abraham (Abram the Hebrew). Jacob told Joseph that the Lord God had been his Shepherd and the Angel who redeemed him, delivered him, from evil on every side. Job was a wealthy man from Uz and only worshiped the Lord God. When Job was speaking among his 3 friends while suffering through calamities that the Lord God allowed to occur, Job stated that he was shaped by the hands of the Lord God and molded by the Lord God. Job spoke of the Lord God making him in the womb by a process of pouring, curdling, clothing, and knitting. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God gave several of his prophets, including Isaiah, details regarding the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the Lord God gave the prophets accounts of how and why the Lord God brought forth life. Over 650 years after Isaiah proclaimed his last messages to the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Judah was the 4th son born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Job, Psalms, Isaiah, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans 15:1-4, 2 Timothy 3:12-17, Hebrews 1:1-14, 2 Peter 1:1-21

Every Single Solitary Bit

And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written. And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables. And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moses, There is a noise of war in the camp. And he said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that sing do I hear. And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount. And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and strawed it upon the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it.-Exodus 32:15-20***In the desert wilderness of Sinai, the Israelites saw Moses go upon Mount Sinai to be with the Lord God at least 2 times before Moses was upon Mount Sinai for a lengthier stay with the Lord God. After both previous visits, Moses told the Israelites everything that the Lord God commanded him to say, and Moses consecrated his fellow Israelites, and the Israelites washed their clothes. Shortly thereafter, the Lord God descended upon Mount Sinai in fire, and the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them. When Moses was upon Mount Sinai with the Lord God for a long while, the Israelites thought they might have been abandoned and told Moses' older brother Aaron to create gods for them to follow. The calf Aaron created with the gold earrings the Israelites gave him was destroyed by Moses after Moses came down from Mount Sinai, and threw the golden calf into the fire, ground it up, and scattered its particles onto the nearby stream. During the 40th year of their journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel) and to their descendants. Over 1,300 years after Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 4:1-5:33, 9:1-29, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Onward Always

I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.-2 Timothy 4:1-5***Eunice was Timothy's mother. The name of Timothy's father is not revealed in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible. Eunice was an Israelite and believed Jesus, who had been crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven, to be the Christ, the Son of God. Timothy's father was a Gentile, a person not descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel). Paul (Saul) was an Israelite from the tribe of Jacob's 12th and last son Benjamin. Paul did not believe Jesus to be the Christ. Throughout Jerusalem, Paul persecuted and imprisoned any Israelite who believed Jesus to be the Christ of God. When Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus, Syria, to find, bind and and take to Jerusalem any Israelite believers he found, Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them. Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, and Paul spoke to Jesus and obeyed Jesus. In Damascus, Paul was baptized. From thenceforward, Paul the apostle journeyed and wrote divinely inspired letters, teaching Israelites and Gentiles the good news of Jesus the Christ and everlasting life. After Paul met Timothy and learned how highly Timothy was regarded, Paul circumcised Timothy, and took Timothy on journeys, and sent Timothy on journeys.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 8:1-40, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 6:1-8:4, 9:1-28:31, Romans, Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews 13:1-25

More Plus More Because of the Lord

And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither. And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand. And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand. And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.-Genesis 39:1-5***Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and Dinah were born to Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, the maidservant of Jacob's 2nd wife Rachel. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. Joseph's brothers hated him, and his dreams, and his status as their father's favorite. Thus, when Joseph arrived in Dothan to check on his brothers, he found himself thrown into a waterless pit and sold to traveling merchants headed to Egypt. Jacob's sons led Jacob to believe that Joseph was killed by an animal. The traveling merchants sold Joseph to Potiphar, an Egyptian official. After the false accusation made by Potiphar's wife, Potiphar put Joseph in the king's prison. The Lord God continued to be with Joseph, and the warden saw Joseph favourably and placed Joseph over everything related to the prisoners. At least 2 years after Joseph explained the meaning of a dream to both the imprisoned cupbearer and imprisoned baker who served Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, Joseph explained the meaning of 2 dreams to Pharaoh. Pharaoh proclaimed Joseph to be second-in-command in Egypt. During a famine, Jacob sent his sons from Canaan to Egypt to buy grain. After the sons made a 2nd trip to Egypt, Joseph revealed his identity to his brothers and told them to move with their families, including Jacob, to Egypt. Thus, when Jacob was 130 years old, he was reunited with Joseph. When Jacob was 147 years old, he died in Egypt and his body was buried in Canaan. Sometime after Joseph and his brothers were dead, Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Over 1,400 years after Moses and his older brother Aaron led the Israelites away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and through a 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Sometime after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Joseph, Mary and Jesus stayed in Egypt for awhile, according to the words spoken to Joseph by an angel of the Lord.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 231:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, Psalm 105, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Keep in Mind This Last Line of Mine

Now after the death of Jehoiada came the princes of Judah, and made obeisance to the king. Then the king hearkened unto them. And they left the house of the LORD God of their fathers, and served groves and idols: and wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this their trespass. Yet he sent prophets to them, to bring them again unto the LORD; and they testified against them: but they would not give ear. And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you. And they conspired against him, and stoned him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court of the house of the LORD. Thus Joash the king remembered not the kindness which Jehoiada his father had done to him, but slew his son. And when he died, he said, The LORD look upon it, and require it.-2 Chronicles 24:17-22***Joash (Jehoash) was born to King Ahaziah and Zibiah. Ahaziah was born to Joram (Jehoram) and Athaliah. Joram was the 5th king to rule Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land. Ahaziah was the 6th king to reign. When Athaliah learned that Ahaziah was dead, she killed her royal descendants and began to rule Judah. Jehosheba (Jehoshabeath) was Ahaziah's sister and the wife of Jehoiada the priest. Jehosheba hid Ahaziah's 1-year-old son Joash (Jehoash) and Joash's nurse, and Joash remained hidden in the temple of the Lord, with Jehoiada's knowledge. When Joash was 7 years old, Jehoiada and his sons presented Joash to their fellow Israelites as the rightful ruler of Judah. Jehoiada and his sons anointed Joash, and Joash became the 7th king to rule Judah. Jehoiada mentored Joash and taught Joash to obey the commands of the Lord God. Joash ordered the temple of the Lord to be repaired and enacted a collection system whereby funds were received and distributed to pay for materials and workmen. After 130-year-old Jehoiada died, Joash joined the actions of his idol worshiping peers. Joash disregarded the temple of the Lord, and Joash and many of the Israelites worshiped idols. Athaliah and Joram were idol worshipers, and when they reigned many Israelites worshiped idols. Joram's great-grandfather King Abijam (Abijah) was an idol worshiper and the 2nd king to rule Judah. During his reign, many Israelites worshiped idols. Abijam's father King Rehoboam was an idol worshiper and the 1st king to rule Judah. Many Israelites worshiped idols during his reign. The Lord God sent prophets to speak to the idol worshiping Israelites. However, they refused to listen. Over 700 years after Amaziah, the son born to Joash and Jehoaddan, became the 8th king to rule Judah, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah, the birth tribe of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Some Explaining

The Words of
Jesus the Christ,
the Son of God:

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.-John 15:1-8***When Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was in Jerusalem with 11 of his 12 disciples and apostles, he taught the 11 Israelite men some of the last lessons before he was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven. Jesus identified himself as the vine, the true vine. Less than 34 years earlier, Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. On the 8th day after Jesus was born, Jesus was circumcised, according to the covenant of circumcision that the Lord God gave Joseph and Mary's ancestor Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) when Abraham was 99 years old. During the 12th year after Jesus was born, Joseph and Mary found Jesus in Jerusalem, in the temple of the Lord, listening, asking, understanding, and understanding. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Jesus identified himself as the Son of God, the way the truth and the life, the resurrection and the life, the bread of life, the living bread, the door, the door of the sheep, the good shepherd, the light of the world while he was in the world, and the Son of man. Jesus revealed the Son of man to be Lord of the sabbath.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Know What

And David abode in the wilderness in strong holds, and remained in a mountain in the wilderness of Ziph. And Saul sought him every day, but God delivered him not into his hand. And David saw that Saul was come out to seek his life: And David was in the wilderness of Ziph in a wood. And Jonathan Saul's son arose, and went to David into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God. And he said unto him, Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel, and I shall be next unto thee; and that also Saul my father knoweth. And they two made a covenant before the LORD: and David abode in the wood, and Jonathan went to his house. Then came up the Ziphites to Saul to Gibeah, saying, Doth not David hide himself with us in strong holds in the wood, in the hill of Hachilah, which is on the south of Jeshimon? Now therefore, O king, come down according to all the desire of thy soul to come down; and our part shall be to deliver him into the king's hand.-1 Samuel 23:14-20***David stayed in deserts, caves and wooded areas when he was on the run from King Saul. Years earlier, when Samuel the priest, prophet and judge was elderly, and Samuel's sons Abiah and Joel (Vashni) were wicked, and King Nahash and his fellow Ammonites were preparing to attack, the Israelite elders demanded that Samuel appoint a king to lead them. Samuel prayed to the Lord God, and proclaimed the words of the Lord God to the Israelites, and the Lord God sent Samuel to anoint Saul, from the tribe of Benjamin, to reign as king over the Israelites in the Promised Land. Saul did not obey the commands of the Lord God. While Saul reigned, the Lord God sent Samuel to anoint David, from the tribe of Judah, to reign as king. Sometime thereafter, while David worked as a shepherd for his elderly father Jesse, David began working as a musician and an armor-bearer for Saul. After David killed and beheaded Goliath the gigantic Philistine, David was in Saul's service full-time. Jonathan, Saul's son, made a covenant with David, the Israelite women sang of David higher than they sang of Saul, and Saul was angry. Saul wanted to kill David and wanted others, including Jonathan, to kill David. Saul's daughter Michal married David and helped him escape from their home.  David stayed in deserts, caves and wooded areas. Doeg, the Edomite was a top worker during Saul's reign and was distantly related to Saul, David and their fellow Israelites. The Israelites descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), their son Isaac and his wife Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel). Doeg was descended from Isaac and Rebekah's oldest fraternal twin son Esau (Edom). Doeg previously told Saul about seeing David in the city of Nob. When David and his men were staying in Ziph, in the portion of the Promised Land allotted to the tribe of Judah, Jonathan visited David. The men of Ziph went to tell Saul that David was in their land.-Genesis 11:27-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 23:7-8, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 15:1-63, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-2:12, 1 Chronicles 1:1-2:17, 3:1-4:43, 8:1-40, 9:35-29:30, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

******************************************************

And the Ziphites came unto Saul to Gibeah, saying, Doth not David hide himself in the hill of Hachilah, which is before Jeshimon? Then Saul arose, and went down to the wilderness of Ziph, having three thousand chosen men of Israel with him, to seek David in the wilderness of Ziph.-1 Samuel 26:1-2***Many of the Israelites living in Ziph were from the tribe of Judah, the birth tribe of David.  However, the Ziphites' allegiance was to King Saul, from the tribe of Benjamin. After the Philistines killed Jonathan and his brothers Abinadab (Ishui?) and Malchishua, and Saul's self-inflicted death on the same battlefield, men from the tribe of Judah anointed 30-year-old David, and David began to reign only over the tribe of Judah. Saul's son Ishbosheth (Eshbaal) reigned over the other Israelite tribes. Sometime after Ishbosheth was murdered, the Israelite elders went to David and David made a covenant with them. The elders anointed David, and 37 1/2-year-old-David became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites. Over 900 years after Solomon, the 2nd son born to David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites, and 70-year-old David died, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 15:1-63, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-11:43, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-55, 3:1-4:43, 8:1-40, 9:35-29:30, 2 Chronicles 1:1-9:31, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Can't Resist When We Insist

Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore afraid, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night. And the woman came unto Saul, and saw that he was sore troubled, and said unto him, Behold, thine handmaid hath obeyed thy voice, and I have put my life in my hand, and have hearkened unto thy words which thou spakest unto me. Now therefore, I pray thee, hearken thou also unto the voice of thine handmaid, and let me set a morsel of bread before thee; and eat, that thou mayest have strength, when thou goest on thy way. But he refused, and said, I will not eat. But his servants, together with the woman, compelled him; and he hearkened unto their voice. So he arose from the earth, and sat upon the bed. And the woman had a fat calf in the house; and she hasted, and killed it, and took flour, and kneaded it, and did bake unleavened bread thereof: And she brought it before Saul, and before his servants; and they did eat. Then they rose up, and went away that night.-1 Samuel 28:20-25***When Saul was searching for his father's lost donkeys, he went with his servant to seek advice from Samuel, the priest, prophet and judge. Samuel told Saul the whereabouts of the donkeys, and gave Saul a divine message, and anointed Saul to reign as king over the Israelites in the Promised Land, according to the command of the Lord God. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Samuel was elderly, and Samuel's sons Joel and Abiah (Vashni and Abijah) were not obeying the commands of the Lord God, and King Nahash and his Ammonite army were preparing to attack, and the Israelite elders demanded that Samuel appoint a king to lead them. Samuel prayed to the Lord God and proclaimed the words of the Lord God to the Israelites, and obeyed the Lord God. At least twice, Saul did not obey the commands of the Lord God. While Saul reigned, the Lord God rejected Saul from being king and sent Samuel to anoint David to reign as king. Sometime thereafter, David began working as a musician and an armor-bearer for Saul while also working as a shepherd. After David killed and beheaded Goliath the gigantic Philistine, David stayed full-time in Saul's service. Jonathan, Saul's son, made a covenant with David, and the Israelite women sang of David higher than they sang of Saul. Saul was angry, and was afraid of David, and wanted to kill David, and commanded others, including Jonathan, to kill David. David became the husband of Saul's daughter Michal, and Michal helped David escape from their home. After Samuel died, and the Philistines were preparing another  attack, Saul disguised himself and went with 2 of his servants to see a woman reported to have specific abilities that would enable him to contact Samuel. When Saul was told that Israel would be defeated and he and his sons would be killed by the Philistines, Saul fell prostrate on the ground. Over 1,000 years after the Philistines killed Jonathan and his brothers Malchishua and Abinadab (Ishui), and Saul's self-inflicted death on the same battlefield, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah, the birth tribe of David and his descendants, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy  31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-2;12, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 8:1-40, 9:35-29:30, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

From This to That

FROM THIS:

Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign. Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Abi, the daughter of Zachariah. And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father did. He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan. He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.
-2 Kings 18:1-5***King Ahaz was the 11th king to rule Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land. Ahaz was an idol worshiper and during his reign he closed the temple of the Lord. Hezekiah, the son born to Ahaz and Abi (Abijah), was the 12th king to rule Judah. Hezekiah only worshiped the Lord God, and during his reign Hezekiah reopened the temple and rid Judah and the temple of items associated with idolatry. Hezekiah led the Israelites to worship the Lord God and ordered the priests and Levites to return to their sacred work. Hezekiah contributed a personal offering and ordered proper offerings to be given by the Israelites throughout Jerusalem,
allowing the priests and Levites to continue their work without worry. When King Sennacherib, ruler of Assyria, came to conquer Jerusalem, Hezekiah told his fellow Israelites not to fear and said that the Lord God would fight for them. Sometime thereafter, Hezekiah invited everyone throughout Judah and the northern nation of Israel to keep the Passover. Before some of the celebrants returned home, they destroyed the remaining images of idolatry in Judah. After Hezekiah died, his body was buried in the tombs of the kings. Ahaz was not been similarly honored.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 3:1-51, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings 1:1-20:21, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles 1:1-32:33, Isaiah 36:1-39:8, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Reference Scriptures:
And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.-Numbers 21:8-9

TO THAT:

Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hephzi-bah. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel. For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them. And he built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD said, In Jerusalem will I put my name. And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.-2 Kings 21:1-6***Manasseh was born to King Hezekiah and Hephzibah. Hezekiah was the 12th king to rule Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land, and Manasseh was the 13th king to reign. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that among Judah's kings, Hezekiah had unparalleled trust in the Lord God. Manasseh was an idolater and followed the actions and behavior of his grandfather King Ahaz, the 11th king to rule Judah. Ahaz was an idol worshiper and burned at least 1 of his sons in a sacrificial fire. Manasseh burned at least 1 of his sons in a sacrificial fire, and worshiped stars and other lights in the sky, practiced wizardry, sought advice from mediums, and disobeyed the commandments, judgments, statutes, and laws that the Lord God gave for the Israelites, his treasured and chosen people. Moreover, Manasseh caused the deaths of many innocent people. The Lord God sent prophets to the Israelites, and the prophets proclaimed the words of the Lord God to the Israelites, including warnings about the disasters due to occur because of the unprecedented evil committed. However, Manasseh and most of his fellow Israelites did not listen to the prophets. The Lord God allowed the king of Assyria to capture Manasseh and take Manasseh prisoner, using a hook and shackles. Manasseh cried, repented and prayed to the Lord God, and the Lord God brought Manasseh back to Jerusalem, the royal city. Manasseh threw away the idolatrous images and told the Israelites to worship the Lord God. Yet, as a result of Manasseh's sins that the Lord God was not willing to forgive, punishment awaited Judah. After Manasseh died, his body was buried on the palace grounds instead of in the tombs of the kings. Manasseh's great-grandson Jehoiakim (Eliakim) was the 17th king to rule Judah. During Jehoiakim's reign, the Babylonians
(Chaldeans) invaded Judah and Jerusalem and
King Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of Babylon, began looting the temple of the Lord. During the reign of Jehoiakim's son King Jehoiachin (Jeconiah/Coniah), the 18th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians took more prominent Israelites, including Jehoiachin, his wives and his mother Nehushta, to Babylon. During the reign of Jehoiakim's brother King Zedekiah (Mattaniah), the 19th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 100 years earlier, the Assyrians invaded the northern nation of Israel and conquered the royal city, Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah, the tribe of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus 18:1-20:27, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 17:1-18:22, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-28,34, 2:1-16, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Jeremiah 15:1-4, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Oh

And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him. And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.-Luke 9:51-56***James, John and their father Zebedee were fishermen. Simon Peter was a fisherman in business with James and John. Simon Peter, James and John became disciples of Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, over 40 days after the baptism of Jesus. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy  Bible reveal that approximately 30 years after Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Afterwards, Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men, including James, John, Simon Peter, and Simon Peter's brother Andrew, to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Jesus chose James, John, Simon Peter, Andrew and 8 other disciples, and named them apostles. Jesus gave the 12 disciples and apostles the ability to cast out demons, heal the ill, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, and preach a message about the kingdom of heaven to their fellow Israelites. James, John and Simon Peter were the disciples and apostles most constantly with Jesus, and Jesus gave new names to each of them. Jesus said that Simon was Peter/Cephas, a stone, a rock. Jesus called James and John "Boanerges," Sons of Thunder. When Jesus wanted to have accommodations in Samaria while he was journeying to Jerusalem, Jesus found himself unwelcome. Samaria was a place of mixed blood and mixed religions. James and John  spoke to Jesus and mentioned Elijah the prophet. Over 800 years earlier, King Ahab  reigned in Samaria over the northern nation of Israel in the Promised Land. During Ahab's 22-year reign, Elijah told Ahab to tell the Israelites and the false prophets to gather at Mount Carmel.  Upon Mount Carmel, Elijah proclaimed a challenge that involved the Lord God, fire, and the false prophets. Several years thereafter, Elijah spoke conditionally for fire to come from heaven and burn 2 different military units sent to take him to King Ahaziah, Ahab's son and successor.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings 1:1-2:18, 17:1-41, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24,  Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

When  Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?-Matthew 16:13
