For Your Sakes

Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him. Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellowdisciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him. Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already. Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off: And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother. Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house. Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.-John 11:14-27***James, John and Simon Peter were Israelites and fishermen from Galilee and they worked in the fishing business together.  Israelites descended from Jacob (Israel), and Jacob's parents Isaac and Rebekah, and Isaac's parents Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), and Abraham and Sarah's father Terah, and Terah's great-great-great-great-great-grandfather Arphaxad, and Arphaxad's father Shem, and Shem's father Noah the ark builder, and Noah's great-grandfather Enoch, and Enoch's great-great-great-grandfather Seth, and Seth's parents Adam and Eve. Adam was the 1st man. The Lord God created Adam. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. In Padan Aram, Haran, Jacob was married to Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and Rachel. During Jacob's 20th year in Haran, he began journeying home to Canaan with his family, servants, animals, and possessions. Approximately 1,900 years after Benjamin was born near Bethlehem to Jacob and Rachel, and Rachel died, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men, including James, John and Simon Peter, to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. James, John and Simon Peter were the disciples and apostles most constantly with Jesus, and they saw several miraculous sights that the other 9 disciples and apostles did not witness. In Galilee, James, John and Simon Peter saw and heard Jesus command a dead girl to arise and the girl started breathing and walking. Mary and her siblings Martha and  Lazarus were Israelites from Bethany in Judea. Jesus was friends with Mary, Martha and Lazarus. When Jesus was miles away from Bethany, he received a message from Mary and Martha that Lazarus, who later died, was sick. Jesus, who is the Word, and the only begotten Son of God, and the bread of life, and the light of the world, and the good shepherd, and the way, the truth, and the life, told Martha he is the resurrection and the life. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by the disciple and apostle Judas Iscariot, and Jesus was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven.-Genesis 1:1-3:24, 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
