From a letter written by the apostle Paul

to believers in Galatia:

But I certify unto you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother. Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not. Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia; And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ: But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed. And they glorified God in me. Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also. And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.-Galatians 1:11-2:2***The Pharisees were members of the sect of Israelites known for their outer appearance and actions. The Pharisees knew and obeyed the laws that the Lord God gave Moses for the Israelites, and the Pharisees knew and obeyed the traditions that were passed down by the Israelite elders. The Pharisees did not believe Jesus to be the Christ, the Son of God. Moreover, the Pharisees associated Jesus with evil, and accused Jesus of speaking blasphemies, and worked to lay traps due to the words Jesus spoke, and made plans to destroy  Jesus. Jesus revealed that the Pharisees were hypocrites. After Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, and was arrested, and crucified, Nicodemus the

Pharisee helped Joseph of Arimathaea prepare the body of Jesus for burial, and place the body of Jesus the Christ in a tomb. The Pharisees were with those who ensured that the entrance to the tomb was securely blocked. Paul (Saul) was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. Moreover, Paul was a Pharisee. Sometime after Jesus was resurrected and returned to heaven, Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus, Syria, with permission from the high priest, to find, bind and take to Jerusalem any Israelite believers he found. As Paul and those with him neared Damascus, they saw a light from heaven flash around them, and Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him. Paul spoke to Jesus, and obeyed Jesus, and in Damascus Paul was baptized. to Titus:

Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.-Titus 2:9-15***The apostle Paul (Saul) was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and his 2nd wife Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. Judah was the 4th son born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah. Titus was a Gentile, a person not born into the Israelite tribes. Over 1,900 years after Judah, Benjamin and their siblings were born, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot the disciple and apostle, and was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven. Throughout Jerusalem, Paul began persecuting and imprisoning Israelites who believed Jesus to be the Christ. When Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus, Syria, to find, bind and take to Jerusalem any Israelite believers he found, Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them. Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him and Paul spoke to Jesus, and obeyed Jesus. In Damascus Paul was baptized. Titus was with Paul during a journey to Jerusalem 14 years after Paul was baptized, and Titus was sent and assigned by Paul on specific missions. The words of Jeremiah the prophet

Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people! Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men; that I might leave my people, and go from them! for they be all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men. And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD. Jehoahaz, the son born to Josiah and Hamutal, was the 16th king to reign. Jehoiakim (Eliakim), the son born to Josiah and Zebudah, was the 17th king. Jehoiachin (Jeconiah/Coniah), the son born to Jehoiakim and Nehushta, was the 18th king. Zedekiah (Mattaniah), another son born to Josiah and Hamutal, was the 19th king to rule Judah. During Jehoiakim's 11-year reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah and Jerusalem and King Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of Babylon, began looting the temple of the Lord. During Jehoiachin's 3-month reign, the Babylonians took more prominent Israelites, including Jehoiachin, his wives and mother, to Babylon. During Zedekiah's reign, Hananiah the prophet spoke false words to the Israelites. In the 11th year of Zedekiah's reign, the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. False prophets lived throughout Judah when Jeremiah was speaking the messages that the Lord God commanded him to speak. Moreover, false prophets lived throughout the northern nation of Israel when the Lord God gave his faithful prophets messages and warning to proclaim to the Israelites before the Assyrians invaded the kingdom and conquered the royal city, Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Josiah's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather King  Jehoshaphat was the 4th king to rule Judah. Jehoshaphat allied himself with King Ahab, the 7th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. False prophets described victory for Ahab and Jehoshaphat. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Ahab was the name of another false prophet, and Zedekiah was the name of another false prophet, and Shemaiah the letter writer was a false messenger. Several Israelites accused Jeremiah of speaking falsely, including a group of priests and prophets who believed Jeremiah should be put to death, and Pashur, who made sure Jeremiah was struck and forcibly bound. Over 500 years after a group of Israelite survivors took Jeremiah with them to Egypt, and Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah, the birth tribe of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry. And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.-1 Kings 4:20-21

Scribes were specifically educated Israelites who could accurately transcribe, copy, and record information. Scribes were taught, and could teach, all the laws that the Lord God gave Moses for the Israelites. Moreover, scribes knew and obeyed the traditions that were passed down by the Israelite elders. The scribes did not believe Jesus to be the Christ, and were among those who wanted to know by what and through whom Jesus was performing his actions. When Jesus asked a group of scribes, and those with them, a question regarding John the Baptist, the group chose not to answer. During an incident involving a paralytic man and the man's friends, the scribes said that Jesus was speaking blasphemies. Another time, the scribes accused Jesus of being associated with evil. The scribes and other Israelites wanted to kill Jesus, as revealed and foretold by Jesus, and the scribes were associated with those who came to arrest Jesus. Jesus taught that the scribes were insincere, showy and hypocrites. In Galilee, a scribe vowed to follow Jesus. Every Single Solitary Bit

The conversation between the Lord God and Moses,

over a year after Moses and his older brother Aaron 

led their fellow Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, 

across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert

 wilderness of Shur, and the Israelites believed the

 frightening words of ten spies and wanted to return

 to Egypt rather than believe the report of Caleb

 and Joshua and go to the Promised Land:

And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them? I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they. And Moses said unto the LORD, Then the Egyptians shall hear it, (for thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them;) And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night. Now if thou shalt kill all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of thee will speak, saying, Because the LORD was not able to bring this people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness. And now, I beseech thee, let the power of my LORD be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying, The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation. Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now. And the LORD said, I have pardoned according to thy word: But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD. Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice; Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it: But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it. You Know I Know You, Right

Events that occurred after Jonah disobeyed the command 
of the Lord God,  and was swallowed by a great fish, and
prayed to the Lord God, and was vomited out of the great fish:

And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying, Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee. So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey. And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown. So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water: But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands. Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not? And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.-Jonah 3:1-10

But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry. And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil. Therefore now, O LORD, take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live. Then said the LORD, Doest thou well to be angry? So Jonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city.-Jonah 4:1-5

And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd. But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered. And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live. And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death. Then said the LORD, Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night: And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?-Jonah 4:6-11

A Deal in the Field

Jacob makes a plan:

And he heard the words of Laban's sons, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was our father's; and of that which was our father's hath he gotten all this glory. And Jacob beheld the countenance of Laban, and, behold, it was not toward him as before. And the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee. And Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field unto his flock. And said unto them, I see your father's countenance, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father hath been with me. And ye know that with all my power I have served your father. And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me. If he said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the cattle bare speckled: and if he said thus, The ringstraked shall be thy hire; then bare all the cattle ringstraked. Thus God hath taken away the cattle of your father, and given them to me. And it came to pass at the time that the cattle conceived, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the rams which leaped upon the cattle were ringstraked, speckled, and grisled. And the angel of God spake unto me in a dream, saying, Jacob: And I said, Here am I. And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle are ringstraked, speckled, and grisled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee. I am the God of Beth-el, where thou anointedst the pillar, and where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred. And Rachel and Leah answered and said unto him, Is there yet any portion or inheritance for us in our father's house? Are we not counted of him strangers? for he hath sold us, and hath quite devoured also our money. For all the riches which God hath taken from our father, that is ours, and our children's: now then, whatsoever God hath said unto thee, do. Then Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives upon camels; And he carried away all his cattle, and all his goods which he had gotten, the cattle of his getting, which he had gotten in Padan-aram, for to go to Isaac his father in the land of Canaan.-Genesis 31:1-18***Fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Isaac and Rebekah during the 20th year of Isaac and Rebekah's marriage. Before Isaac and Rebekah met and married, Isaac's father Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) sent his top servant to Haran (Charran), Padan Aram, in northern Mesopotamia (Aram-Naharaim) to find a wife for Isaac. Upon the servant's arrival, the servant prayed to the Lord God and the servant immediately saw Rebekah. Laban the Syrian (Aramean) was Rebekah's brother, and Bethuel the Syrian (Aramean) was Rebekah and Laban's father. Bethuel was born to Nahor, and Nahor was the brother of Abraham and Sarah (Sarai), Abraham's wife. When Abraham and Sarah's son Isaac was old and believed his death was near, he told Esau to hunt, prepare and serve him the meat of a particular animal, and afterwards receive the appropriate blessing. Rebekah heard the instructions Isaac gave Esau and helped Jacob deceive Isaac and cheat Esau. When Rebekah learned that Esau intended to kill Jacob, Rebekah convinced Isaac to send Jacob to Laban's home in Haran on a mission to find a wife. In Haran, Jacob saw and met Rachel. After 1 month, Jacob made a deal with Laban to work 7 years to marry Rachel. On the wedding night, Laban brought Rachel's older sister Leah to Jacob, and Jacob apparently thought the bride was Rachel. Laban told Jacob to remain with Leah for 1 week, and be given Rachel as his wife, and work 7 more years. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant.  Sometime thereafter, Joseph was born to Jacob and Rachel and Jacob asked Laban to allow him to leave with his family and return to Canaan. Laban offered to enter into another agreement with Jacob. However, when it became obvious that Jacob was more victorious, Laban's family was displeased. Over 1,800 years after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt and his family buried his body in Canaan, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
