Just as You Said

Solomon becomes the third king to rule

over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land:

And Bath-sheba went in unto the king into the chamber: and the king was very old; and Abishag the Shunammite ministered unto the king. And Bath-sheba bowed, and did obeisance unto the king. And the king said, What wouldest thou? And she said unto him, My lord, thou swarest by the LORD thy God unto thine handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne. And now, behold, Adonijah reigneth; and now, my lord the king, thou knowest it not: And he hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the sons of the king, and Abiathar the priest, and Joab the captain of the host: but Solomon thy servant hath he not called. And thou, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel are upon thee, that thou shouldest tell them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him. Otherwise it shall come to pass, when my lord the king shall sleep with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon shall be counted offenders. And, lo, while she yet talked with the king, Nathan the prophet also came in. And they told the king, saying, Behold Nathan the prophet. And when he was come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground. And Nathan said, My lord, O king, hast thou said, Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? For he is gone down this day, and hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the king's sons, and the captains of the host, and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they eat and drink before him, and say, God save king Adonijah. But me, even me thy servant, and Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and thy servant Solomon, hath he not called. Is this thing done by my lord the king, and thou hast not shewed it unto thy servant, who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him? Then king David answered and said, Call me Bath-sheba. And she came into the king's presence, and stood before the king. And the king sware, and said, As the LORD liveth, that hath redeemed my soul out of all distress, Even as I sware unto thee by the LORD God of Israel, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my stead; even so will I certainly do this day. Then Bath-sheba bowed with her face to the earth, and did reverence to the king, and said, Let my lord king David live for ever. And king David said, Call me Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada. And they came before the king. The king also said unto them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride upon mine own mule, and bring him down to Gihon: And let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over Israel: and blow ye with the trumpet, and say, God save king Solomon. Then ye shall come up after him, that he may come and sit upon my throne; for he shall be king in my stead: and I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and over Judah. And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king, and said, Amen: the LORD God of my lord the king say so too. As the LORD hath been with my lord the king, even so be he with Solomon, and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord king David. So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king David's mule, and brought him to Gihon. And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save king Solomon. And all the people came up after him, and the people piped with pipes, and rejoiced with great joy, so that the earth rent with the sound of them.-1 Kings 1:15-40***Sometime after Samuel, the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi, anointed David to reign as king, David was married to Michal. Michal was the daughter of King Saul, the reigning ruler and 1st king to rule over the Israelites in the Promised Land. Sometime after Michal helped David escape from their home to avoid being killed by Saul, David was married to Abigail and Ahinoam, and Michal was married to Palti (Paltiel/Phalti/Phaltiel). Ater the Philistines killed Saul's sons Jonathan, Malchishua and Abinadab (Malchishua), and Saul's self-inflicted death on the same battlefield, men from the tribe of Judah anointed 30-year-old David, and began to reign only over the tribe of Judah, the tribe of his birth. Saul's son Ishbosheth (Eshbaal) ruled over the other Israelite tribes. Sometime after Ishbosheth was murdered, the Israelite elders went to David, and David made a covenant with them. The elders anointed 37-year-old David and David became the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. While reigning, David was intimate with Bathsheba, the wife of Uriah, and caused Uriah to be killed. The Lord God caused the 1st child born to David and Bathsheba to die. Solomon was the 2nd child born to David and his wife Bathsheba. Amnon, the son born to David and Ahinoam, was David's firstborn son. Absalom, the son born to David and Maacah, was the 3rd son born to David. Adonijah, the son born to David and Haggith, was David's 4th born son. Years before Adonijah had himself proclaimed king while David reigned, Absalom had himself proclaimed king while David reigned, and Absalom was killed. Over 900 years after Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, became the 4th king to rule over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house. And the woman conceived, and sent and told David, and said, I am with child.-2 Samuel 11:1-5***King David was an Israelite from the tribe of Judah, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai),  Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah. David was the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Joab was David's nephew and the commander of the army. The Ammonites were descendants of Abraham and Sarah's nephew Lot and Lot's youngest daughter, and the son, Ben-ammi, born to Lot and his daughter. If Bathsheba was the daughter of Eliam the Gilonite, Bathsheba was possibly from Giloh, a city in the portion of the Promised Land allotted to the tribe of Judah. Uriah the Hittite was descended from Heth, and Heth was born to Canaan, and Canaan was born to Ham, and Ham was born to Noah the ark builder. Abraham and Sarah were the great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandchildren of Noah's son Shem. Moses was from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. Over 400 years before David was born, Moses and his fellow Israelites, and those with them, were in the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, and the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them. The Lord God commanded the Israelites not to commit adultery and not to covet a neighbor's wife. Immediately thereafter, the Lord God began giving Moses judgments, statutes and laws for the Israelites. Throughout the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Moses proclaimed the words of the Lord God to the Israelites, saying that:

-And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even.-Leviticus 15:19...But if she be cleansed of her issue, then she shall number to herself seven days, and after that she shall be clean.-Leviticus 15:28

Solomon is born to King David and Bathsheba

And the LORD sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor. The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds: But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter. And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him: but took the poor man's lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.-2 Samuel 12:1-4

And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die: And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity. And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul; And I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead? But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead. Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat. Joshua was born into the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, their firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. When Samuel was an elderly priest, prophet and judge, and his sons Joel (Vashni) and Abiah (Abijah) were not obeying the commands of the Lord God, and King Nahash and his Ammonite army were preparing to attack, the Israelite elders demanded that Samuel appoint a king to lead them, and Samuel anointed Saul, from the tribe of Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin, to reign, according to the command of the Lord God. At least twice, Saul did not obey the commands of the Lord God. While Saul reigned, the Lord God sent Samuel to Bethlehem to anoint David, from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah, to reign as king. After David's skills, strength, appearance, and favor with the Lord God were mentioned to Saul, Saul commanded that David's father Jesse send David to him, and David began serving as a musician and an armor-bearer for Saul. After David killed and beheaded Goliath the gigantic Philistine,  David and Jonathan, Saul's son made a covenant. The Israelite women sang of David higher than they sang of Saul, and Saul was angry. Saul wanted to kill David, and became afraid of David, and sent David on missions to get killed, and commanded others, including Jonathan, to kill David. Saul's daughter Michal was married to David and helped David escape from their home. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Saul arranged for Michal to become the wife of Phalti (Palti/Paltiel), and David was married to Abigail and Ahinoam. Abigail was a widow. Abigail's husband Nabal died days after Abigail told Nabal that she had provided David and David's men with an abundance of food. After the Philistines killed Jonathan and his brothers Malchishua and Abinadab (Ishui?), and Saul's self-inflicted death on the same battlefield, David, Abigail, Ahinoam, and those loyal to David began living in Hebron, and men from the tribe of Judah anointed 30-year-old David, and David began to reign only over the tribe of Judah. Saul's son Ishbosheth (Eshbaal) ruled over the other Israelite tribes. Sometime after Ishbosheth was murdered, the Israelite elders went to David, and David made a covenant with them. The elders anointed 37-year-old David, and David began to rule over all of the Israelite tribes.  David's nephew Joab led the Israelites to victory against the Jebusites inside a fortress, and the fortress became the City of David, and Joab became commander of the army. Meanwhile, Jerusalem was developed, and David fought battles on the field and in his family. Amnon, the son born to David and Ahinoam, raped Tamar, the daughter born to David and Maacah, a Syrian (Aramean) princess. David and Maacah's son Absalom, commanded the death of Amnon, and afterwards Absalom escaped to Geshur, the kingdom ruled by his maternal grandfather. Joab successfully plotted to reunite David and Absalom. Over 2 years after Absalom returned to Jerusalem, Absalom plotted to have himself proclaimed king while David reigned. Despite David's command, Absalom was killed after Joab plunged 3 weapons into Absalom's body, and Joab's 10 armor-bearers attacked Absalom. When David was elderly and still reigning, Adonijah, the son born to David and Haggith, positioned himself as king. Before 70-year-old David died, Solomon, a son born to David and Bathsheba (Bath-shua), became the 3rd king to rule over all of the Israelites. The 1st son born to David and Bathsheba was struck by the Lord God and died, due to David's actions against Bathsheba's husband  Uriah. During the beginning of Solomon's 40-year reign, Adonijah was killed and Joab was killed. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to rule over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city, and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. After Jeroboam's death, Nadab, Baasha,  

Elah, Zimri, Omri, Ahab, Ahaziah, Jehoram (Joram),  Jehu, Jehoahaz,

Jehoash (Joash), Jehoash's son Jeroboam, Zachariah, Shallum,  Menahem, Pekahiah, Pekah, and Hoshea successively ruled the northern nation of Israel. During Pekah's 20-year reign, the Assyrians invaded the kingdom, and King Tiglath-pileser, ruler of Assyria, began taking Israelites captive. During the 9th year of Hoshea's reign, the Assyrians conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city, and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. After Rehoboam's death, Abijah, (Abia/Abijam), Asa, Jehoshaphat, Jehoram (Joram), Ahaziah, and Ahaziah's mother Athaliah, the daughter of Ahab, successively reigned. After Athaliah was killed, Joash (Jehoash), Amaziah, Uzziah (Azariah), Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, Manasseh, Amon, Josiah, Jehoahaz, Jehoiakim (Eliakim), Jehoiachin (Jeconiah/Coniah), and Zedekiah (Mattaniah) successively ruled Judah. During Jehoiakim's 11-year reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah and Jerusalem and King Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of Babylon, began looting the temple of the Lord. During Jehoiachin's 3-month reign, the Babylonians took more prominent Israelites, including Jehoiachin, his wives and mother, to Babylon. During the 11th year of Zedekiah's reign, the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. King David and Nathan the prophet

And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, the LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die. Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die. And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife bare unto David, and it was very sick. David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth. And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them. And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead? But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead. Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat. Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread. I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.-2 Samuel 12:13-23**David and Nathan were Israelites and lived in the Promised Land. Nathan was a prophet of the Lord God. David was from the tribe of Judah and was the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites. Judah was the 4th son born to Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah. Jacob was the youngest fraternal twin son born to Isaac and Rebekah. Isaac was born to 100-year-old Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and 90-year-old Sarah (Sarai). Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were Israelites from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi and lived in Egypt. Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83 when they led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, into the desert wilderness of Shur, and the desert wilderness of Sin, and the desert wilderness of Sinai towards Canaan, the Promised Land. During the 40-year journey, Miriam the prophetess died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron the high priest died. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died, and was divinely buried. Joshua was Moses' aide and successor from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, their firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. The Lord God spoke to Joshua, and Joshua sent 2 spies to Canaan, and Rahab hid the spies, and the spies returned, and Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. After 110-year-old Joshua died, and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, the Israelites were led by elders, judges and their own minds. Samuel the priest, prophet and judge was born into the tribe of Levi to Elkanah and Hannah. When Samuel was elderly, and his sons Joel (Vashni) and Abiah (Abijah) were not obeying the commands of the Lord God, and King Nahash and his Ammonite army were preparing to attack, the Israelite elders demanded that Samuel appoint a king to lead them, and Samuel anointed Saul, from the tribe of Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin, to reign, according to the command of the Lord God. At Gibeah of God (the hill of God), the Spirit of God came upon Saul. At least twice, Saul did not obey the commands of the Lord God. Samuel told Saul that the Lord God rejected Saul from being king and had torn the kingdom from Saul. David lived in Bethlehem, and was a man after God's own heart. While Saul reigned, the Lord God sent Samuel to anoint David to reign as king, and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David, and the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul. After Saul heard about David's skills, strength, appearance, and favor with the Lord God, he commanded that David's father Jesse send David to him, and David began serving as a musician and an armor-bearer for Saul. Amid the Valley of Elah, David killed and beheaded Goliath, the gigantic Philistine from Gath. David and Jonathan, Saul's son, made a covenant. The Israelite women sang of David higher than they sang of Saul, and Saul was angry. Saul wanted to kill David, and became afraid of David, and sent David on missions to get killed, and commanded others, including Jonathan, to kill David. Saul's daughter Michal was married to David and helped David escape from their home. David and the men who joined him stayed in the wilderness, and in other parts of the Promised Land allotted to the tribe of Judah, before Philistine King Achish, ruler of Gath, gave Ziklag, a city under Philistine control, to David. Meanwhile, David was married to Abigail and Ahinoam, and Michal was married to Palti (Paltiel/Phalti/Phaltiel). After the Philistines killed Jonathan and his brothers Malchishua and Abinadab (Ishui?), and Saul's self-inflicted death on the same battlefield, men from the tribe of Judah anointed 30-year-old David, and David began to reign only over the tribe of Judah. Saul's son Ishbosheth (Eshbaal) ruled over the other Israelite tribes. Sometime after Ishbosheth was murdered, the Israelite elders went to David, and David made a covenant with them. The elders anointed 37-year-old David, and David began to rule over all of the Israelite tribes. Amnon was born to David and Ahinoam. Chileab (Daniel) was born to David and Abigail, and other children were born to David, his wives and concubines. After David was intimate with Bathsheba, the wife of Uriah, a Hittite descended from Heth, and was told about the child in Bathsheba's womb, he arranged for Uriah to return home from the battlefield, and arranged for Uriah to be sent to the deadliest part of the battlefield. Uriah was killed, and Bathsheba became David's wife, and a son was born to David and Bathsheba. Nathan the prophet revealed the words of the Lord God to David, and the Lord God struck David and Bathsheba's child, and the child became sick and died. Solomon and at least 2 more sons were born to David and Bathsheba. Before 70-year-old David died, Solomon became the 3rd king to rule over all of the Israelites. At least 900 years after Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, became the 4th king to rule over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.
