The Words of
Jesus the Christ,
the Son of God:
I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled? But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished! Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is. And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass. Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time? Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right? When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison. I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.-Luke 12:49-59***Over 2,000 years before Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin, Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) was born. When Abraham was 99 years old, the Lord God gave Abraham the covenant of circumcision. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Abraham circumcised 13-year-old Ishmael, and Abraham and all the males in Abraham's household and on Abraham's property were circumcised. Ishmael was the son born to 86-year-old Abraham and Hagar, the maidservant of Abraham's wife Sarah (Sarai). Isaac was born to 100-year-old Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah. On the 8th day after Isaac was born, Abraham circumcised Isaac. When Isaac was 40 years old, he was married to Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece. Fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to 60-year-old Isaac and Rebekah. In Padan Aram, Haran, Jacob was married to Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and Rachel. his 2nd wife Rachel. When Joseph was at least 17 years old, his brothers sold him to merchants traveling to Egypt and led Jacob to believe that Joseph was killed by a wild animal. Joseph was 30 years old when Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, appointed him second-in-command. When Jacob was 130 years old, he moved with his family from Canaan to Egypt, according to Joseph's request and the generosity and hospitality of Pharaoh. In Egypt, Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim, the sons born to Joseph and his wife Asenath, to be his own sons. Sometime after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt and Jacob's family buried his body in Canaan, and 110-year-old Joseph and his siblings were dead, their descendants the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were from the tribe of Levi, descended from Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, the Lord God sent them to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Pharaoh told Moses and Aaron to get the Israelites and their animals and go serve the Lord God. After the Israelites asked for and were given an abundance of valuable goods, fulfilling the words that the Lord God spoke to Abraham over 600 years earlier, Moses and Aaron led the Israelites away from Egypt. The Lord God went before Moses, Aaron, the Israelites, and those with them, in a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. The Lord God led them away from Rameses, to Succoth, through wilderness, and Etham, and the region of Pi Hahiroth, and across the divinely parted Red Sea. The divinely inspired words of the Holy Bible reveal that the Israelites were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. During the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam the prophetess died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron the high priest died. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' aide and successor from the tribe of Ephraim, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. In Gilgal, according to the command of the Lord God, Joshua oversaw the circumcision of all the Israelite males who were born during the journey and were not circumcised. Over 1,300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ and John the Baptist were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). On the 8th day after John the Baptist was born, he was circumcised, and on the 8th day after Jesus the Christ was born, Jesus was circumcised. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. John the Baptist continued to baptize those who came to him until he was imprisoned and beheaded by Herod Antipas the tetrarch, ruler of Galilee for the Roman Empire. Meanwhile, the disciples of Jesus the Christ baptized those who came to Jesus. Sometime before Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven less than 3 1/2 years after he was baptized, Jesus spoke about his upcoming baptism to his 12 disciples and apostles.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, 33:1-56, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-5:15, 16:1-10, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Chronicles 1:1-2:17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 6:1-8:4, 9:1-31, 11:19-28:31, 1 Corinthians 1:1-31, 10:1-33
