King Hezekiah and Isaiah the prophet
At that time Merodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah: for he had heard that he had been sick, and was recovered. And Hezekiah was glad of them, and shewed them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not. Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon. Then said he, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All that is in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.-Isaiah 39:1-4***Uzziah (Azariah) was the 9th king to rule Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land, and was an Israelite from the tribe of Judah, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah. Jotham, the son born to Uzziah and Jerushah (Jerusha) was the 10th king. Jotham's son Ahaz was the 11th king, and Hezekiah, the son born to Ahaz and Abi (Abijah), was the 12th king to rule Judah. When Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah reigned, Isaiah the prophet received revelations from the Lord God. Uzziah's great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather Rehoboam was the 1st king to rule Judah. Before ruling Judah, Rehoboam ruled over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land. Rehoboam's father Solomon was the 3rd king to rule over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land. Solomon's father David was from Bethlehem, and was a man after God's own heart and was the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites. Saul, the 1st king to rule over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, was from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel and their 2nd and last son Benjamin. Joshua was from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Jacob and Rachel's firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Over 300 years before Saul was anointed and began to reign, Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob, and to their descendants. Aaron and his younger brother Moses were from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. Forty years before Joshua led the Israelites across the Jordan River, 80-year-old Moses and 83-year-old Aaron led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, into the desert wilderness of Shur, and the desert wilderness of Sin, and the desert wilderness of Sinai on a journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, according to the commands of the Lord God. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron the high priest died. Near Canaan, Moses proclaimed his last messages to the Israelites and spoke about their upcoming desire to be led by a king. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died, and was divinely buried. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that after Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city and Rehoboam was the 1st king. Hezekiah reigned 29 years and his trust in the Lord God was unparalleled among Judah's kings. During a deathly sickness, Isaiah went to Hezekiah and told him that the Lord God said Hezekiah was going to die. Hezekiah immediately prayed to the Lord God, and cried, and the Lord God immediately sent Isaiah to Hezekiah with a message of recovery and 15 more years of life. Hezekiah asked Isaiah about a sign to verify the assurance of healing. Amid his recovery, Hezekiah was divinely inspired to write a message. Moreover, a royal envoy of Babylonians came to visit Hezekiah, bearing goodwill, gifts and letters from King Merodach-baladan (Berodach-baladan), ruler of Babylon, and the Lord God sent Isaiah to Hezekiah with another message. Over 600 years after Manasseh, the son born to Hezekiah and Hephzibah, became the 13th king to rule Judah, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born.
