More Plus More Because of the Lord

In those days Hezekiah was sick to the death, and prayed unto the LORD: and he spake unto him, and he gave him a sign. But Hezekiah rendered not again according to the benefit done unto him; for his heart was lifted up: therefore there was wrath upon Judah and Jerusalem. Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the LORD came not upon them in the days of Hezekiah. And Hezekiah had exceeding much riches and honour: and he made himself treasuries for silver, and for gold, and for precious stones, and for spices, and for shields, and for all manner of pleasant jewels; Storehouses also for the increase of corn, and wine, and oil; and stalls for all manner of beasts, and cotes for flocks. Moreover he provided him cities, and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance: for God had given him substance very much. This same Hezekiah also stopped the upper watercourses of Gihon, and brought it straight down to the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah prospered in all his works. Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to enquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart. Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his goodness, behold, they are written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, and in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel. And Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the chiefest of the sepulchres of the sons of David: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem did honour at his death. And Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.-2 Chronicles 32:24-33***Saul was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. When the Israelite elders demanded that Samuel, the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi, set a king to rule over them in the Promised Land, the Lord God sent Samuel to anoint Saul to reign. At least twice, Saul did not obey the commands of the Lord God. While Saul reigned, the Lord God sent Samuel to anoint David to reign as king. David was from the tribe of Judah, descended from Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah. After the Philistines killed Saul's sons Jonathan, Malchishua and Abinadab (Ishui), and Saul's self-inflicted death on the same battlefield, the Philistines abused the bodies of Saul and his sons. Israelites from Jabesh-gilead retrieved the bodies, and brought the bodies to Jabesh-gilead, and buried the bones. Shortly thereafter, men from the tribe of Judah anointed 30-year-old David, and David began to reign only over the tribe of Judah. Saul's son Ishbosheth (Eshbaal) reigned over the other Israelite tribes. Some after Ishbosheth was murdered, the Israelite elders went to David, and David made a covenant with them. The elders anointed 37-year-old David and David began to reign over all of the Israelite tribes. During his reign, David went to Jabesh-gilead and retrieved the bones. Before 70-year-old David died and his body was buried in the City of David, Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to reign. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city, and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Judah was the nation in the south and Jerusalem was the royal city. Descendants of David, Solomon and Rehoboam ruled Judah, except for the 6-year-reign of Athaliah. Most of Judah's kings, including Rehoboam's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson King Hezekiah, were buried near David's body. Rehoboam's great-great-great-grandson Ahaziah was the 6th king to rule Judah. While in the northern nation, Ahaziah was wounded and died and his servants brought his body to Jerusalem for burial. Ahaziah's grandson Amaziah, the 8th king, and Amaziah's great-great-great-great-great-grandson Josiah, the 15th king, were killed far from Jerusalem. However, their bodies were brought to Jerusalem for burial. Jehoahaz, the son born to Josiah and Hamutal, was the 16th king. Jehoahaz was dethroned and taken captive by Pharaoh Necho, ruler of Egypt, and Jehoahaz died in Egypt. Jehoiakim (Eliakim), the son born to Josiah and Zebudah, was the 17th king to rule Judah. During Jehoiakim's 11-year reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah and Jerusalem and King Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of Babylon, began looting the temple of the Lord. Jehoiachin (Jeconiah/Coniah), the son born to Josiah and Nehushta, was the 18th king. During Jehoiachin's 3-month reign, the Babylonians took more prominent Israelites, including Jehoiachin, his wives and mother, to Babylon. During the 11th year of the reign of Jehoiakim's brother King Zedekiah (Mattaniah), the 19th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 100 years before Jerusalem was conquered, the Assyrians invaded the northern kingdom and conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Less than 33 1/2 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was betrayed, arrested and crucified. The body of Jesus was buried in a tomb not far from the burying places of David, Solomon, and most of Judah's kings. On the 3rd day after Jesus was buried, Jesus was resurrected.
