Jesus the Christ, the Son of God,
after speaking with some
and his disciples
And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid. For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet: The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter. But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs. And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs. And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter. And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.-Mark 7:24-30***Sidon (Zidon) was born to Canaan, and Canaan was born to Ham, and Ham was born to Noah the ark builder. Noah was the great-grandson of Enoch, and Enoch was the great-great-great-grandson of Seth, and Seth was born to Adam and Eve. Adam was the 1st man. The Lord God created Adam. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God formed Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. Noah's son Shem was the great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather of Terah. Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai) were born to Terah. After the Lord God appeared to Abraham and told Abraham to get out from his country and kin and come into the land he would be shown, Abraham journeyed away from Ur, in southern Mesopotamia, with Sarah, Terah, and nephew Lot and began living in Haran, in northern Mesopotamia. Shortly after 205-year-old Terah died, 75-year-old Abraham, 65-year-old Sarah, and Lot journeyed with their servants and possessions to Canaan, land inhabited by Canaan's descendants the Canaanites and other idolaters. The Lord God promised to give Canaan to Abraham's descendants and Abraham. Ishmael was born to 86-year-old Abraham and Hagar, Sarah's maidservant. Isaac was born to 100-year-old Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah. When Isaac was 40 years old, he was married to Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece. Fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to 60-year-old Isaac and Rebekah. In Padan Aram, Haran, Jacob was married to Leah and Rachel the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and Rachel. Near Bethlehem, Benjamin was born to Jacob and Rachel, and Rachel died. Jacob was 130 when he moved with his family from Canaan to Egypt, the country wherein Joseph was second-in-command. In Egypt, Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim, the sons born to Joseph and his wife Asenath, to be his own sons. Sometime after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt, and Jacob's family buried his body in Canaan, and 110-year-old Joseph and his siblings were dead, their descendants the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were from the tribe of Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, the Lord God sent them to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. After the Lord God brought the the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them, and the Lord made a covenant with the Israelites. During the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam the prophetess died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron the high priest died, and Aaron's son Eleazar became the high priest. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' aide and successor from the tribe of Ephraim, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. The Israelites defeated the inhabitants of Jericho, and Ai, and defeated King Adoni-zedek and his allies, and conquered other kingdoms, and defeated King Jabin and his allies, according to the will of the Lord God, and Joshua, Eleazar and the leaders specified by the Lord God began allotting each tribe its portion of the Promised land, according to the commands that the Lord God gave Moses. Sidon was a prominent Phoenician seaport city located in the portion of the Promised Land allotted to the tribe of Asher. However, the Israelites in the tribe of Asher were not able to expel the Sidonians, and thus the Israelites lived among them. Tyre was a prominent Phoenician seaport city located at least 20 miles from Sidon. Over 300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Saul, from the tribe of Benjamin, became the 1st king to rule over the Israelites. David, from the tribe of Judah, was the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites. Solomon, a son born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to reign. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to rule over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah was the nation in the south and consisted of the tribe of Judah and the tribe of Benjamin. Jerusalem was the royal city, and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation and consisted of the other Israelite tribes. Samaria was the final royal city and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. King Ahab was the 7th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. Ahab was an Israelite, Ahab's wife Jezebel was a Sidonian princess, and Ahab and Jezebel were idolaters. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that a famine occurred during Ahab's 22-year reign after Elijah the prophet prayed to the Lord God, and the Lord God sent Elijah to a widow divinely appointed to provide for him in Zarephath, a Phoenician seaport city located between Tyre and Sidon. Over 800 years after Elijah went up into heaven by a whirlwind, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites.
