Twenty years after Jacob (Israel) obeyed his mother Rebekah,

and deceived his father Isaac, and cheated his brother Esau

(Edom), and journeyed to the home of Rebekah's brother

Laban, Jacob departs with his wives Leah and Rachel, and

maidservants Bilhah and Zilpah, and 11 sons, and a daughter:

Then Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives upon camels; And he carried away all his cattle, and all his goods which he had gotten, the cattle of his getting, which he had gotten in Padanaram, for to go to Isaac his father in the land of Canaan. And Laban went to shear his sheep: and Rachel had stolen the images that were her father's.-Genesis 31:17-19

And Jacob stole away unawares to Laban the Syrian, in that he told him not that he fled. So he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and passed over the river, and set his face toward the mount Gilead.-Genesis 17:20-21

And it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob was fled. And he took his brethren with him, and pursued after him seven days' journey; and they overtook him in the mount Gilead. Then Laban overtook Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mount: and Laban with his brethren pitched in the mount of Gilead. Wherefore didst thou flee away secretly, and steal away from me; and didst not tell me, that I might have sent thee away with mirth, and with songs, with tabret, and with harp? And Jacob answered and said to Laban, Because I was afraid: for I said, Peradventure thou wouldest take by force thy daughters from me. Jacob, Laban, Leah, and Rachel

And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel. Leah was tender eyed; but Rachel was beautiful and well favoured. And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will serve thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter. And Laban said, It is better that I give her to thee, than that I should give her to another man: abide with me. And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her. And Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her. In Bethel, Jacob was dreaming and saw the angels of God and the Lord God speaking to him. During Jacob's 7th year in Haran,  he was married to Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Jacob's sons told Jacob about the command, and Reuben made a vow to Jacob. When Jacob's sons were in Egypt with Benjamin, Joseph identified himself to them and told his brothers to move to Egypt with their families, including Jacob. After Rebekah prompted Jacob to deceive Isaac, and cheat Esau, and learned that Esau planned to kill Jacob, she spoke words to Isaac that led him to send Jacob from their home in Beersheba, Canaan, to Rebekah's family in Padan Aram, Haran. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Jacob's only possessions were the clothes he was wearing and the staff in his hand. During Jacob's 7th year in Haran, he was married to Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. At least 7 days into the journey, Laban caught up with them, and Jacob and Laban made a covenant. In Mahanaim, Jacob saw the angels of God. When Jacob sent messengers to Esau, he learned that Esau and 400 men were approaching. Jacob made escape plans, and prayed to the Lord God, and sent gifts to Esau. Approximately 1,900 years after Benjamin was born near Bethlehem to Jacob and Rachel, and Rachel died, and Jacob and Isaac were reunited in Hebron (Kiriath-arba), Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born.
