In the twelfth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel did Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah begin to reign. Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel. And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the LORD, as did the house of Ahab: for he was the son in law of the house of Ahab. And he went with Joram the son of Ahab to the war against Hazael king of Syria in Ramoth-gilead; and the Syrians wounded Joram. And king Joram went back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.-2 Kings 8:25-29***Ahaziah was an Israelite from the tribe of Judah, descended from Adam and Eve, their son Seth, Seth's great-great-great-grandson Enoch, Enoch's great-grandson Noah the ark builder, Noah's son Shem, Shem's son Arphaxad, Arphaxad's great-great-great-great-great-grandson Terah, Terah's children Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), their son Isaac and his wife Rebekah, Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel) and his wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God created Adam, the 1st man. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. Omri, his son Ahab, and Ahab's children Joram (Jehoram) and Athaliah were Israelites, too. However, they did not worship the Lord God, and the specific tribe of their birth is not revealed in the Holy Bible. Ahab's wife and Joram's mother Jezebel, a Sidonian (Zidonian) princess, also did not worship the Lord God. Omri was the 6th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and to Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Ahab was the 7th king to rule, and Joram was the 9th king. Ahaziah was the 6th king to rule Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land. Ahaziah's grandfather King Jehoshaphat, and great-grandfather King Asa, and great-great-great-great-great-grandfather King David only worshiped the Lord God. David was the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land. Asa was the 3rd king to rule Judah, Jehoshaphat was the 4th king, and Jehoram (Joram) was the 5th king to rule Judah. After the Syrians wounded Ahaziah, and Ahaziah subsequently died, his mother Athaliah put to death her royal descendants, except for 1-year-old Joash (Jehoash). Ahaziah's sister Jehosheba (Jehoshabeath) and Jehosheba's husband Jehoiada the priest hid Joash for 6 years. Over 800 years after 7-year-old Joash was crowned and anointed as Judah's rightful ruler, and Athaliah was killed, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 13:1-14:45, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles 1:1-36:23, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
