...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Building Specs

The temple of the Lord,
built by King Solomon:

Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the LORD appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite. And he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign. Now these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits. And the porch that was in the front of the house, the length of it was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was an hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold. And the greater house he cieled with fir tree, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set thereon palm trees and chains. And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim. He overlaid also the house, the beams, the posts, and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubims on the walls. And he made the most holy house, the length whereof was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits: and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.
-2 Chronicles 3:1-8***On a mountain in Moriah, Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) prepared to sacrifice Isaac, the only child born to Abraham and his wife Sarah (Sarai).  Years earlier, Abraham sent away his son Ishmael and Ishamel's mother Hagar. Hagar was Sarah's Egyptian maidservant. When Isaac was 40 years old, he married Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece. In the 20th year of their marriage, fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Isaac and Rebekah.  Decades thereafter, Jacob married Rebekah's nieces Leah and Rachel. Over 750 years after Levi and Judah were born to Jacob and Leah, and Benjamin was born to Jacob and Rachel, Samuel was born into the tribe of Levi, Saul was born into the tribe of Benjamin, and David was born into the tribe of Judah. Samuel was a priest, prophet and judge. When Samuel was elderly, and his sons Joel (Vashni) and Abiah were wicked, and King Nahash and his fellow Ammonites arrived to attack, the Israelite elders demanded that Samuel appoint a king to lead them. Samuel anointed Saul to reign as king, according to the command of the Lord God. Saul did not obey commands of the Lord God. While Saul was reigning, the Lord God sent Samuel to anoint David to reign as king. David married Michal, Saul's daughter, and eventually lived on the run from Saul. After Saul's self-inflicted death on the battlefield, men from the tribe of Judah anointed David to reign over them. Saul's son Ishbosheth (Eshbaal) reigned over the other Israelite tribes. After Ishbosheth was murdered, the Israelite elders went to David, and David made a covenant with them. The elders anointed David, and David became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites. While reigning, David wanted to build a structure wherein to house the ark of the covenant of the Lord. However, due to the wars fought and blood shed, the Lord God sent Nathan the prophet to tell David that David's son and successor would be the builder. Years thereafter, David sent his nephew and army commander Joab to conduct a census. After David made another decision, the angel of the Lord began smiting Israelites to death. David saw the angel and spoke to the Lord God. Afterwards, according to the command of the Lord God, Gad the prophet told David to build an altar to the Lord God on property that belonged to Ornan (Araunah). Ornan was a Jebusite, and the property was located in Moriah. David built the altar of burnt offering as commanded and proclaimed the newly purchased property to be the place whereupon the house of the Lord would be built. David gave the building plans that he received from the hand of the Lord and the Spirit of the Lord to Solomon. Solomon was the 2nd son born to David and Bathsheba. After Solomon became the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites, he spent 7 years building the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem on the land that David bought from Ornan. Over 900 years after Rehoboam, the son born Solomon and Naamah, became the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-14:31, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles 1:1-12:16, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
