The Lord God Himself

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia: Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.-2 Corinthians 1:1-5***In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, Moses and his older brother Aaron, and their fellow Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them, and the Lord God began giving Moses judgments, statutes and laws for the Israelites. Moses, Aaron, Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu, and 70 Israelite elders went upon Mount Sinai, and afterwards Moses was upon Mount Sinai with the Lord God for 40 days and nights. Months earlier, Moses and Aaron led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God. On the 40th day and night that Moses was upon Mount Sinai, the Lord God sent Moses down the mountain with 2 stone tablets, whereupon were written, with the finger of God, the Ten Commandments. As Moses neared the Israelites, he saw that they were dancing in the midst of a golden calf that the Lord God told him the Israelites were worshiping. Moses threw the tablets, and they broke at the bottom of the mountain, and Moses called for those who were on the Lord's side to gather to him. Moses gave a command for killing to begin, according to the command of the Lord God. The next day, Moses went to speak to the Lord God and asked the Lord God to forgive the Israelites. The Lord God answered Moses, and sent a plague throughout the camp and told Moses that it was time for the Israelites to depart and go to Canaan, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. The Lord God said that he would send an angel ahead of the Israelites and would drive out the enemies occupying the land. Moreover, the Lord God said that he would not go with the Israelites because of what he might do to them. Moses repeated the words of the Lord God to the Israelites, and Moses spoke to the Lord God again. Sometime thereafter, Moses told the Lord God that he wanted to be shown the glory of the Lord. The Lord God spoke to Moses of mercy and compassion and told Moses to return to Mount Sinai with 2 stone tablets. The Lord God descended in the cloud, stood on Mount Sinai with Moses, made a proclamation, passed before Moses, and the Lord God identified himself as merciful, gracious, long-suffering, abounding in goodness and truth, and loving, and forgiving. In the 40th year of their journey to the Promised Land, Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Over 1,400 years after  Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. The Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus, and the Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. For 40 days Jesus fasted and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven. Paul (Saul) was an Israelite from the tribe of Jacob's 12th and last son Benjamin. Paul did not believe Jesus to be the Christ. Throughout Jerusalem, Paul persecuted and imprisoned any Israelite man or woman who believed Jesus to be the Christ of God. When Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus in Syria to find, bind and take to Jerusalem any Israelite believers he found, Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them. Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, and Paul spoke to Jesus and obeyed Jesus. In Damascus Paul was baptized. From thenceforward, Paul the apostle journeyed and wrote divinely inspired letters, teaching Israelites and Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes, the good news of Jesus the Christ and everlasting life. Eunice was an Israelite, a believer and the mother of Timothy (Timotheus). Timothy's father was a Gentile.
