You'll See

Psalm 12

Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is LORD over us? For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.-Psalm 12:1-8/the complete psalm

What's for Sup

And these are the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD. The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed to the war. Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valour for the war, seven thousand and one hundred. Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred. And Jehoiada was the leader of the Aaronites, and with him were three thousand and seven hundred; and Zadok, a young man mighty of valour, and of his father's house twenty and two captains. And of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept the ward of the house of Saul. And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valour, famous throughout the house of their fathers. And of the half tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, which were expressed by name, to come and make David king. And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment. Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all instruments of war, fifty thousand, which could keep rank: they were not of double heart. And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand. And of the Danites expert in war twenty and eight thousand and six hundred. And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand. And on the other side of Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for the battle, an hundred and twenty thousand. All these men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king. And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them. Moreover they that were nigh them, even unto Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, and meat, meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep abundantly: for there was joy in Israel.-1 Chronicles 12:23-40***Samuel was the last judge established by the Lord God to lead the Israelites in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. The descendants, the Israelites, are the family tribes of the 12 sons, Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin, born to Jacob and his wives Leah and Rachel and maidservants Bilhah and Zilpah. The family tribes include Joseph's sons Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own sons. During Samuel's latter years, the Israelite elders told Samuel that they wanted to be under the leadership of a king, similar to the kingships of the nations in the region. Thus, the Lord God sent Samuel to anoint Saul, from the tribe of Benjamin, to reign. Saul did not obey the commands of the Lord God. While Saul still reigned, the Lord God sent Samuel to anoint David, from the tribe of Judah, to reign. After David killed Goliath the gigantic Philistine, the Israelite women sang of David higher than they sang of Saul, and Saul was jealous and fearful. Saul continued being jealous and fearful as David experienced military victories. Saul's daughter Michal, David's wife, warned David and helped David escape. When David reached Ahimelech the priest in Nob, there were other Israelite men with David. More men were with David in the cave in Adullam, and in the stronghold in the desert wilderness, and when David was living in Ziklag, in the land of the Philistines. After Saul's self-inflicted death on the battlefield, David sought the will of the Lord God, and the Lord God told David to go to Hebron, in the portion of the Promised Land allotted to the tribe of Judah. The men with David brought their families to Hebron, and the tribe of Judah anointed David as their king. Meanwhile, Saul's son Ish-bosheth (Esh-baal) reigned over the other Israelite tribes. Seven years thereafter, Ish-bosheth was murdered by 2 of his officers. The Israelites, including the warriors listed above, purposefully went to Hebron, and the elders anointed David to reign as king. Over 900 years after Solomon, the 2nd son born to David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River. Shortly thereafter, Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. When Jesus was among a group of Pharisees, Jesus taught of David and the men with David.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-11:43, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 8:1-40, 9:35-29:30, 2 Chronicles 1:1-9:31, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

'Tis Like

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.-James 1:1-8***King Saul was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin. Saul was the 1st king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised LandDavid was an Israelite from the tribe of Judah. When Saul did not obey the commands of the Lord God, the Lord God sent Samuel, the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi, to anoint David to reign as king. After Saul's self-inflicted death on the battlefield, David reigned only over the tribe of Judah. After Ishbosheth was murdered, a multitude of armed Israelites from the other tribes went to David and secured his reign as king over all of the Israelites. Among the fighters who made the journey were 50,000 men from the tribe of Zebulun. The Zebulunites were united in their purpose, and none of them had a double heart. In Psalm 12, David, a psalmist, described the characteristics of people who have a heart that has 2 separate agendas. David was divinely inspired to write that such people speak empty words with smooth lips. Over 900 years after David died and was buried in the City of David, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Less than 33 1/2 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven. Sometime thereafter, the divinely inspired writer of the Epistle of James in the Holy Bible revealed characteristics of people who have 2 minds.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-2:12, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 8:1-40, 9:35-29:30, Psalm 12, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, James

If - Then

And the children of Joseph spake unto Joshua, saying, Why hast thou given me but one lot and one portion to inherit, seeing I am a great people, forasmuch as the LORD hath blessed me hitherto? And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee. And the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough for us: and all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who are of Beth-shean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Jezreel. And Joshua spake unto the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying, Thou art a great people, and hast great power: thou shalt not have one lot only: but the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong.-Joshua 17:14-18***Over 400 years before Joshua was born into the Israelite tribe of Ephraim, the Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaim (Rephaites), Amorites, Canaanites, Jebusites, Hivites, and other idolaters were living throughout Canaan, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. The descendants are the family tribes of the 12 sons, Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin, born to Jacob and his wives Leah and Rachel and maidservants Bilhah and Zilpah. The tribes also include the families of Joseph's sons Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own sons. After Jacob died in Egypt and was buried in Canaan, and after Joseph and his brothers were dead, generations of Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Moses and his brother Aaron were born into the tribe of Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, they led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, and across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness, towards the Promised Land. Joshua was an aide to Moses. Moreover, Joshua was a top warrior among the Israelites. Joshua, Caleb and the 10 spies with them went to the Promised Land and saw gigantic Anakim inhabitants. During another part of the journey, the Israelites defeated gigantic King Og, the ruler whose iron furniture was at least 13 feet long by 6 feet wide. In the 40th year of the journey, Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land. Sometime thereafter, Joshua, and Aaron's son Eleazar the priest, and 12 Israelite leaders began allotting each Israelite tribe their portion of land. Caleb was given Kirjath-arba (Hebron), a city inhabited by Anakim. Joshua steered some Israelites in the tribes of Manasseh and Ephraim towards additional land inhabited by giants. Over 1,300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribes portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 13:1-14:45, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, 32:1-34:29, Deuteronomy 1:1-4:49, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

O Lord God

Psalm 3

LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me. Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about. Arise, O LORD; save me, O my GOD: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly. Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.-Psalm 3:1-8/the complete psalm

Deep Sleep

And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together. And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead. And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him. When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed. And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.-Acts 20:7-12***When the apostle Paul (Saul) and Silas (Silvanus) were in prison in Philippi, the jailer was soundly sleeping as Paul and Silas were praying and singing to the Lord God. The jailer remained sleeping until shortly after a sudden quaking of the earth shook the prison's foundations and every door was opened and each prisoner's bonds were unfastened. After the jailer was awake and aware of the open doors, he thought to end his life. However, Paul called out reassuringly to the jailer, and the jailer asked Paul and Silas of the requirements to be saved. Paul and Silas told the jailer to believe on the Lord Jesus, and Paul and Silas shared the message of Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, with the jailer and his family. The jailer and his family were baptized, and the jailer fed Paul and Silas, and Paul and Silas were back in prison. Paul and Silas were told to depart and Paul and Silas were asked to depart. In Troas, as Paul was preaching a lengthy message before leaving Troas, Eutychus, one of the young men in attendance, fell deeply asleep and fell from the 3rd floor, and was divinely fallen upon and embraced by Paul.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 8:1-40, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 6:1-8:4, 9:1-31, 11:19-28:31

Against Me Are Ye

When Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men that were with him, (now Saul abode in Gibeah under a tree in Ramah, having his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing about him;) then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds; that all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day? Then answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub. And he inquired of the LORD for him, and gave him victuals, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine. Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father's house, the priests that were in Nob: and they came all of them to the king. And Saul said, Hear now, thou son of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I am, my lord. And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day? Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king's son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house? Did I then begin to inquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute any thing unto his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more. And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father's house. And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD. And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod. And Nob, the city of the priests, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children, and sucklings, and oxen, and asses, and sheep, with the edge of the sword.-1 Samuel 22:6-19***Isaac was born to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai). Fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Isaac and Rebekah. The Lord God gave the Mount Seir region to the Edomites, and the Lord God gave Canaan, the Promised Land, to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants the Israelites. Over 300 years after Levi was born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, Aaron and his brother Moses were born into the tribe of Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, they led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, and across the divinely parted Red Sea and into the desert wilderness. When the Israelites were in a region near the Edomites, the Lord God told Moses that the Israelites were not to provoke the Edomites, who would be fearful of the Israelites. During the 40th year of their journey, Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, was from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, their son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land. Over 300 years after Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, the Israelite elders demanded that a king be set over them. The Lord God sent Samuel, the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi, to anoint Saul to reign. Saul was from the tribe of Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. Saul did not obey the commands of the Lord God. Thus, the Lord God sent Samuel to anoint David, from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah, to reign as king. Judah was the 4th son born to Jacob and Leah. Sometime after David was anointed, David began working as a musician and an armor-bearer for Saul. After David killed Goliath the gigantic Philistine, Saul's son Jonathan entered into a covenant with David, and Saul sent David on military missions. The Israelite women sang of David higher than they sang of Saul. David's successes and Saul's jealousy led Saul to try to kill David, and have David killed on missions, and order Jonathan and the servants to kill David. Saul's daughter Michal was David's wife. Michal helped David escape from their home. The 1st person David spoke to after leaving Michal and their home was Samuel. The 2nd person was Jonathan, and the 3rd person was Ahimelech the priest. Ahimelech questioned David and believed David's story of being on a secret mission for Saul. After more questions, Ahimelech gave David the consecrated showbread and gave David Goliath's sword, as witnessed by Doeg the Edomite. When Jesus was among a group of Pharisees, Jesus taught of David, the tabernacle, the showbread, the Sabbath day, and the priests.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 1:1-3:29, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-3:31, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-11:43, 1 Chronicles 1:1-2:17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, 8:1-40, 9:35-29:30, 2 Chronicles 1:1-9:31, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1:26

Which One

And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them, If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish. Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace. So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned? It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.-Luke 14:25-35***Over 1,000 years  before Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was speaking to his listeners regarding the cost of being his disciple, King Saul was in pursuit of David, and the Israelite men under Saul's authority refused to kill the priests Saul ordered them to kill. King Ahab was the 7th king to reign over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel in the Promised Land. Jezebel, Ahab's wife, was an idol worshiping Sidonian (Zidonian) princess. After Jezebel commanded the deaths of the prophets of the Lord God, Obadiah safely hid and kept alive 100 prophets of the Lord God and provided them with food and water. King Ahaziah was the 6th king to rule Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land. After Ahaziah was deadhis mother Athaliah began to rule Judah. Athaliah commanded the deaths of her royal descendants. Jehosheba (Jehoshabeath), the wife of Jehoiada the priest, secretly rescued Athaliah's grandson Joash (Jehoash). Joash was hidden with his nurse in the temple of the Lord God for 6 years before being presented, crowned and anointed as the rightful ruler of Judah.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

From This to That

FROM THIS:

And it came to pass a long time after that the LORD had given rest unto Israel from all their enemies round about, that Joshua waxed old and stricken in age. And Joshua called for all Israel, and for their elders, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers, and said unto them, I am old and stricken in age: and ye have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto all these nations because of you; for the LORD your God is he that hath fought for you. Behold, I have divided unto you by lot these nations that remain, to be an inheritance for your tribes, from Jordan, with all the nations that I have cut off, even unto the great sea westward. And the LORD your God, he shall expel them from off before you, and drive them from out of your sight; and ye shall possess their land, as the LORD your God hath promised unto you. Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left; that ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them: but cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day. For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day. One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you. Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God. Else if ye do in any wise go back, and cleave unto the remnant of these nations, even these that remain among you, and shall make marriages with them, and go in unto them, and they to you: know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps unto you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until ye perish from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.-Joshua 23:1-13***Joshua was an aide to Moses when Moses and Moses' older brother Aaron were leading the Israelites through the desert wilderness after leading the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery and across the divinely parted Red SeaDuring the 40th year of their journey, Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. Canaan, the  Promised Land was inhabited by idolaters. Moreover, Canaan was inhabited by idolaters when the Lord God promised to give the land to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. Ashdod was a Philistine city in the portion of the Promised Land allotted to the Israelite tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah. However, the tribe of Judah was not able to remove the remaining idolatrous inhabitants from the land, including the Philistines and some gigantic Anakim living in Ashdod. The Israelite tribes of Simeon, Dan, Naphtali, Asher, Zebulun, Ephraim, Manasseh, and Benjamin were also unable to completely remove all of the idolaters from the land. After Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, and after the elders of his generation were dead, the Israelites began worshiping the idols worshiped by the idolaters in their midst. Some of the Israelites married idolaters. Solomon, from the tribe of Judah, was the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land. Solomon was married to 700 idol worshiping princesses. Shortly after Solomon died and his son and successor King Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. King Ahab was the 7th king to reign over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel in the Promised Land. Ahab's son-in-law King Joram (Jehoram) was the 5th king to rule Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land. Ahab was married to at least 1 idol worshiping woman and Ahaziah was married to at least 1 idol worshiping woman. King Pekah was the 18th king to reign over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. During Pekah's reign, the Assyrians invaded the kingdom and began taking Israelites to Assyria. King Hoshea was the 19th king to rule the northern nation. During Hoshea's reign, the Assyrians conquered Samaria, the royal city, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. During the reign of Joram's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson King Jehoiakim (Eliakim), the 17th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah and Jerusalem, the royal city, and began looting the temple of the Lord. During the reign of Jehoiakim's son King Jehoiachin  (Jeconiah/Coniah), the 18th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians began taking Israelites to Babylon. During the reign of Jehoiakim's brother King Zedekiah (Mattaniah), the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Less than 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Number 13:1-14:45, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 1:1-2:37, 7:1-26, 9:1-29, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua, Judges 1:1-3:31, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah 13:23-31, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Reference Scripture:
Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.-Deuteronomy 7:3

TO THAT:

In those days also saw I Jews that had married wives of Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab: and their children speak half in the speech of Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews' language, but according to the language of each people. And I contended with them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, Ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves. Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin. Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives?-Nehemiah 13:23-27***Nehemiah was an Israelite (Hebrew/Jew), a descendant of Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel). Nehemiah served as cupbearer to King Artaxerxes, ruler of the Persian Empire. Years after the Israelites returned to Judah and Jerusalem after spending approximately 70 years in Babylonian captivity, Nehemiah received permission from Artaxerxes to go to Jerusalem and oversee the building of the wall that the Babylonians had destroyed.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 7:1-26, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-3:31, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Sum Totals

his disciples, and a multitude of people:

And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things. And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed: send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat. He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat? He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes. And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass. And they sat down in ranks by hundreds, and by fifties. And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. And they did all eat, and were filled. And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes. And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men. And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people. And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray. And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land. And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them. But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out: for they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid. And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered. For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened. And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore. And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him, and ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was. And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.-Mark 6:34-56

Reference Scriptures:
And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples. And behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.-Matthew 9:20-21

And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and  the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals. But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.-Matthew 14:15-17...But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.-Matthew 14:27...And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased; And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.-Matthew 14:35-36

Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.-Matthew 15:32...And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.-Matthew 15:34
