What's for Sup

On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour. And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance. And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth: Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean. And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common. This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.-Acts 10:9-16***Simon Peter was an Israelite and a disciple and an apostle of Jesus the Christ, the Son of GodOver 4,000 years before Simon Peter was born, the Lord God created Adam, the 1st man. The Lord God gave Adam commands regarding the seed-bearing plants, and the trees with seed yielding fruit, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Noah the ark builder was the great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson of Adam and his wife Eve, the mother of all living, the woman whom the Lord God made after taking a part out of Adam. After Noah, his wife, their sons Shem, Ham and Japheth, and each son's wife came out of the ark, according to the command of the Lord God, the Lord God gave mankind the authority to eat everything except meat that still had its blood. Over 900 years after the flood, Aaron and his brother Moses were born into the tribe of Israelites descended from Shem's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandchildren Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), their son Isaac and his wife Rebekah, Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. Months after 80-year-old Moses and 83-year-old Aaron led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God, the Lord God made a covenant with the Israelites. While the Israelites were still in the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Lord God gave Moses and Aaron dietary laws for the Israelites, specifying clean and unclean creatures. Over 1,400 years after Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, Jesus, the Christ, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men, including Simon Peter, to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven. Simon Peter became a leader among the Israelites who believed Jesus to be the Christ, and believed Jesus to be the only way to the Lord God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth and Maker of all that is in them. Simon Peter journeyed and wrote at least 2 divinely inspired letters, teaching the good news of Jesus the Christ, life in Christ and everlasting life. When Simon Peter was in Joppa, at the home of Simon the tanner, Simon Peter received a revelation from the Lord. Afterwards, Simon Peter preached the good news of Jesus to Cornelius and those gathered in Cornelius' home. Cornelius and those with him were Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes.-Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus 11:1-47, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 14:1-21, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-11:30, Romans 14:1-23, 1 Corinthians 10:23-33, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 Timothy 4:1-16
