Which One

And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty.) Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus. For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry. Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood. For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take. Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection. And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. And they gave forth lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.-Acts 1:15-26***After Judas Iscariot offered his services to the chief priests and temple leaders and agreed to betray Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, for 30 silver coins, Judas Iscariot sat at the table with Jesus and the other disciples and apostles for their last Passover feast together. Judas Iscariot uttered words which seemed to question his identity as the betrayer. After Jesus was arrested and condemned, Judas Iscariot was remorseful and tried to give the silver back to the chief priests. However, the chief priests would not take the money. Judas threw the coins onto the temple grounds, left, and killed himself. Meanwhile, less than 33 1/2 tears after Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and born into the Israelite tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin, Jesus was crucified and buried in a tomb. Sometime after Jesus was resurrected, and the 11 remaining disciples and apostles saw Jesus taken up to heaven, covered by a cloud, the disciple and apostle Simon Peter spoke about the necessity of adding another apostle to the group.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.-Proverbs 16:33

Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself. And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood. And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in. Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.-Matthew 27:3-8
