...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

Friends in Deed
And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate. And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King. And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it. Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man. And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place. When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilean. And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time. And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him. Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing. And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him. And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate. And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.-Luke 23:1-12***After Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, the disciple and apostle, and Jesus was arrested, Jesus was taken to appear before Annas, the father-in-law of Caiaphas the high priest. Afterwards, Jesus was taken to stand before Caiaphas in the audience of the Sanhedrin, the high court of the Israelites (Hebrews/Jews), the descendants of Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel). Jesus was blindfolded, hit, spat upon, ridiculed, and taken to Pontius Pilate, governor of Judea for the Roman Empire. When Pilate learned that Jesus was from Galilee, Pilate sent Jesus to Herod Antipas the tetrarch, ruler of Galilee for the Roman Empire. Herod and the soldiers mocked Jesus, clothed Jesus in a robe and sent Jesus back to Pilate. According to custom, Pilate was due to release a prisoner. Thus, Pilate offered to release Jesus or Barabbas, a criminal. The chief priests and elders stirred the crowd to shout for Barabbas to be released. When Pilate asked what he should do with Jesus, the crowd loudly answered that Jesus should be crucified. Jesus was flogged, stripped, mockingly dressed with a robe and a crown of thorns, mocked, spat on, hit, and stripped before being dressed in his own clothes again. Although Pilate wanted to release Jesus and give Jesus to the Israelites, Jesus was led away to be crucified. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Joseph of Arimathea, a secret disciple of Jesus the Christ, and Nicodemus the Pharisee prepared the body of Jesus for burial and placed the body of Jesus in a tomb. On the 3rd day after Jesus was crucified, Jesus was resurrected. Jesus was seen by over 500 people, and on the 40th day after Jesus was resurrected, Jesus was returned to heaven. Over 33 1/2 years before Jesus was returned to heaven, Jesus the Christ and John the Baptist were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Jacob's 3rd born son Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God.-Genesis 1:1-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
