And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him. And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.-Matthew 20:29-34***David was an Israelite from the tribe of Judah, descended from Adam and Eve, their son Seth, Seth's great-great-great-grandson Enoch, Enoch's great-grandson Noah the ark builder, Noah's son Shem, Shem's son Arphaxad, Arphaxad's great-great-great-great-great-grandson Terah, Terah's children Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), their son Isaac and his wife Rebekah, Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God created Adam, the 1st man. When David was 30 years old, he began to reign only over the tribe of Judah. When David was 37 1/2 years old, he became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites. After King Nahash, ruler of the Ammonites, died, David sent an envoy to visit Nahash's son and successor Hanun. The Ammonites were descendants of Terah's son Haran, and Haran's son Lot, and the son, Ben-ammi, born to Lot and Lot's youngest daughter. When David's men arrived in Hanun's kingdom, the Ammonites spoke against David and the Israelites and cut 1/2 of the beard and clothing of each of David's men. When David saw his men, he told them to stay at Jericho until their beards regrew. Over 900 years after Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Decades after fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob were born to Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob was in a divine wrestling encounter. After a brief exchange of words, Jacob's name was changed to Israel, which means "may God prevail/God is upright/a prince of God/he who strives with God." In Genesis 35:10, the Lord God spoke to Jacob and acknowledged Jacob's new name. Jacob received his first name due to the incident that occurred when he and Esau were being born. The first mention of "Aaron" occurs at Exodus 4:14, when the Lord God was speaking to Moses of the Israelites, and the Egyptians, and the Promised Land, and Pharaoh, and Moses' worriment, and Moses' older brother Aaron. The meaning of the name Aaron is usually accepted to mean the exalted one, or light, or mountain, or hill. However, a precise definition is not known. Aaron and Moses were Israelites from the tribe of Levi, descended from Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, they spoke to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Moses and Aaron led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness. When Moses was upon Mount Sinai with the Lord God for 40 days and nights, the Lord God gave Moses commands for a new priesthood. The Lord God commanded that only Aaron and his sons and the sons born to the descendants of their sons could serve the Lord God as priests. The other males in the tribe of Levi were to assist the priests. Over 1,400 years after Moses anointed Aaron and his sons and Aaron served as high priest, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. A Song to be Sung

A message the Lord God

revealed to Isaiah the prophet:

In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks. Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust. The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy. The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just. Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee. With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.-Isaiah 26:1-9

Onward Always

From a letter written by the apostle Paul,
with Timotheus (Timothy),
to believers in Philippi:

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark of the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.-Philippians 3:13-21***In a divinely inspired letter sent to believers in Corinth, the apostle Paul (Saul) wrote that believers should imitate his example of following Jesus the Christ, the Son of God. Years earlier, Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven. Initially, Paul did not believe Jesus to be the Christ. Moreover, Paul agreed with the actions and guarded the garments of pelters who stoned Stephen, an Israelite believer, to death. Afterwards, Paul was persecuting and imprisoning any fellow Israelites who believed Jesus to be the Christ of God. After Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them, and Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, Paul spoke to Jesus, and obeyed Jesus, and in Damascus Paul was baptized. Jesus the Christ, the Son of God,

And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. Potiphar realized that the Lord God was with Joseph. Thus, Potiphar placed Joseph in charge of managing the household. After making numerous advances towards Joseph, Potiphar's wife made a false accusation, and Potiphar cast Joseph into prison. The prison official realized that the Lord God was with Joseph and placed the prisoners and their activities in Joseph's care. After Pharaoh's cupbearer and baker were imprisoned, Joseph explained the meaning of the cupbearer's dream and the baker's dream. The baker was killed and the cupbearer returned to duty, according to the commands of Pharaoh. Two years thereafter, Pharaoh had a puzzling dream. The cupbearer remembered Joseph and mentioned Joseph to Pharaoh. Over 1,800 years after Jacob and his family moved to Egypt, and Jacob died in Egypt and was buried in Canaan, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born.
