Some Explaining

From a letter written by the apostle Paul,
with Timotheus (Timothy),
to believers in Colosse (Colossae):

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worth y of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;-Colossians 1:9-23***Paul (Saul) was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. Paul was a Pharisee and previously persecuted and imprisoned any Israelite who believed Jesus, who had been crucifiedburied in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven, to be the Christ, the Son of God. However, after Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them, and Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, Paul spoke to Jesus, and obeyed Jesus, and in Damascus, Syria, Paul was baptized. From thenceforward, Paul the apostle journeyed and wrote divinely inspired letters, teaching Israelites and Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes, the good news of Jesus the Christ, the blood of Jesus, the forgiveness of sins, and being reconciled to the Lord God.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 8:1-40, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 6:1-8:4, 9:1-31, 11:19-28:31, Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon

Sounds like a Plan

And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.-Genesis 11:1-5***Over 3,500 years before Joseph and Mary were born, the Lord God created Adam, the 1st man. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. Noah was the great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson of Adam and Eve. When Noah  was 600 years old, Noah, his wife, their sons Ham, Japheth and Shem, and each son's wife, and a specific number of creatures were within the ark built by Noah, according to the commands of the Lord God. The Lord God brought a flood upon the earth that destroyed mankind and every creature that did not exist in water. After Noah and his family began living upon land again, Ham, Japheth, Shem, and their wives were fruitful, and multiplied and filled the earth, according to the command of the Lord God. Their descendants eventually united to build a city and a tower with a top that would reach in the heavens. Terah was Shem's great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson. Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai) were born to Terah. When Abraham was 100 years old, Isaac was born to Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah. When Isaac was 40 years old, he was married to Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece. During the 20th year of their marriage, Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Isaac and Rebekah. Decades thereafter, Jacob married Rebekah's nieces Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Over 1,900 years after Jacob and Leah's 4th son Judah was born, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 1:1-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

What's for Sup

And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets. And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not. So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof. But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot.-2 Kings 4:38-41***Elisha was working in his father's field when Elijah, a prophet of the Lord God, cast his cloak on Elisha, according to the command of the Lord God. Elisha served as Elijah's aide and learned from Elijah. After Elijah went up into heaven by a whirlwind, Elisha went to Jericho, and journeyed to Bethel, Mount Carmel, Samaria, Shunem, and made another journey to Mount Carmel. In Gilgal, Elisha was reunited with a group of prophets. Over 500 years earlier, Joshua served as an aide for Moses the prophet, and Joshua became Moses' successor.  Moses, Joshua, Elijah, and Elisha were Israelites, descendants of Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel). Over 700 years after Elisha died and a dead man became alive after his body was cast onto Elisha's bones, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Number 11:28, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings 1:1-13:25, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

How Now Shall It Come About

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles, that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?-John 3:1-4***The Pharisees were Israelites and noticeably strict observers of the laws that the Lord God gave to Moses for the Israelites, and obeyed the traditions passed down by the Israelite elders. The Pharisees knew that Jesus turned water into wine at a wedding celebration in Cana, in the southern province of Galilee. Moreover, the Pharisees knew that at the Passover Feast in Jerusalem, in the southern province of Judea, Jesus performed miracles. Nicodemus came to see Jesus sometime after the occurrence of those miracles. Sometime before the miracles, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Approximately 30 years before Jesus was baptized, Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed, arrested and crucified. Nicodemus went with Joseph of Arimathea to be given the crucified body of Jesus and prepare the body for burial and placement in the new tomb owned by Joseph. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Jesus was resurrected on the 3rd day, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-29, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 8:30-35, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 15:1-35

Nope

And the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Did not I deliver you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines? The Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, did oppress you; and ye cried to me, and I delivered you out of their hand. Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more. Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation. And the children of Israel said unto the LORD, We have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this day. And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the LORD: and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.-Judges 10:11-16***Throughout the years after the Lord God told Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) to depart from his country and kin and come into the land he would be shown, the Lord kept Abraham safe and gave Abraham the victory in battle. Isaac was the only child born to Abraham and Sarah (Sarai). Jacob (Israel) was the youngest fraternal twin son born to Isaac and  Rebekah. The Lord God kept Isaac and Jacob safe and protected. Over 300 years after Levi was born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, Aaron and Moses were born into the tribe of Levi. Before the Lord God sent 80-year-old Moses and 83-year-old Aaron to lead their fellow Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, the Lord God told Moses that he would be with him. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God went before the Israelites in a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, months after Moses and Aaron led the Israelites across the divinely parted Red Sea and into the desert wilderness of Shur, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them. The Lord God commanded the Israelites not to worship or make any other gods. Shortly thereafter, the Israelites were worshiping a golden calf that Aaron made. King Sihon and the Amorites were defeated by the Israelites. During the 40th year of their journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, was from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, their firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. After Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, the Israelites were led by elders, judges, or their own minds. When Ehud the judge was leading the Israelites, Ehud led the Israelites to defeat the Moabites, Ammonites and Amalekites. When Shamgar the judge was leading the Isralites, Shamgar killed 600 Philistines. Over 200 years after Joshua led the Israelites to defeat the Amalekites, Gideon the judge led the Israelites to victory over the Midianites, Amalekites and their allies from the east. Samuel, the priest and prophet from the tribe of Levi, was the last judge the Lord God established to lead the Israelites. Over 1,000 years after Samuel anointed Saul, from the tribe of Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin, to reign as king, according to the command of the Lord God, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 13:1-14:45, 20:1-25:18, 27:12-23, 31:1-54, 32:44-52, 33:50-56, Deuteronomy, Joshua 1:1-12:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, 8:1-40, 9:35-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

How Now Shall It Come About

And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.-Luke 1:26-35***Years before James, Joses (Joseph), Juda (Judas), Simon, and their sisters were living in the family home in Nazareth in Galilee with Joseph, Mary, and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, Mary was a virgin pledged to wed Joseph, a craftsman from the tribe of Judah. Before Joseph brought Mary into his home as his wife, Jesus, the Christ, was conceived of the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Isaiah 7:10-14, 9:6-7, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 1 John 1:1-10, 3:1-24

Just Obedience

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.-Matthew 1:18-25***When Gabriel, the angel of the Lord, went to Mary, an Israelite and a virgin, and told Mary that she was going to conceive and give birth to a son and the son was to be named Jesus, Mary was able to ask a question of and receive an answer from Gabriel. Joseph was a craftsman from the tribe of Judah and was in a pledged commitment to marry Mary. When Joseph was asleep, an angel of the Lord spoke to Joseph in a dream about Mary and Jesus. Jacob (Israel) was the youngest fraternal twin son born to Isaac and his wife Rebekah, the grandniece of Abraham and Sarah. Decades after Jacob was born, he married Rebekah's nieces Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian. Over 800 years after Judah was born to Jacob and Leah, David was born into the tribe of Judah. Over a decade after David was born, the Lord God sent Samuel, the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi, to anoint David to reign as king. When David was 30 years old, he began to reign only over the tribe of Judah. When David was 37 1/2 years old, he became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-2:12, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 10:1-29:30, Isaiah 7:10-14, 9:6-7, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

His Glory Was Right Before Me

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.-John 1:6-14***Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth) were Israelites from the tribe of Levi, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah,  Jacob (Israel) and Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. Gabriel, an angel of the Lord, appeared to Zechariah and told Zechariah a son would be born to Zechariah and Elizabeth. Gabriel told Zechariah to name the child John, and Gabriel told Zechariah the purposes wherefore John was to be born. When Elizabeth was in the 6th month of pregnancy, the Lord God sent Gabriel to speak to Mary, an Israelite, a virgin and a close relative of Elizabeth. Gabriel told Mary of the son to be conceived of the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost) in Mary's womb. Gabriel told Mary the child was to be named Jesus, and shall be called the Son of the Most High. After Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph, the Israelite from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah. Joseph was pledged to wed Mary. The angel told Joseph to continue with his marital plans and said the child in Mary's womb was conceived of the Holy Spirit. Aw, Paw

From the parable of The Lost Son,
told by Jesus the Christ, the Son of God:

Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing. And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him. And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.-Luke 15:25-32***Approximately 30 years after Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. Bait and Persuade to Act Our Way

It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom; And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage. Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God. Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever. All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and tomake a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions. Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not. Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.-Daniel 6:1-9***King Jehoiakim (Eliakim) was the 17th king to rule Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land. During Jehoiakim's reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah and Jerusalem, the royal city, and King Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of Babylon, began looting the temple of the Lord. During the reign of Jehoiakim's son King Jehoiachin (Jeconiah/Coniah), the 18th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians took more prominent Israelites, including Jehoiachin, Daniel (Belteshazzar), Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego) to Babylon. Nebuchadnezzar commanded that specific young Israelite men be brought to his palace and receive a Babylonian education.
