What's for Sup

At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. But he said unto them, Have ye not read
what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple. But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless. For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.-Matthew 12:1-8***When Jacob (Israel) was sent from his family's home in Canaan after deceiving his father Isaac and cheating his fraternal twin brother Esau (Edom), the only possession Jacob carried was the staff in his hand. For 20 years, Jacob lived in Padan Aram, Haran in northern Mesopotamia with the family members of his mother Rebekah, and married Rebekah's nieces Leah and Rachel. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. Joseph and Benjamin were born to Jacob and Rachel. Over 800 years after the children were born, David was born in Canaan, the Promised Land, into the tribe of Judah. Over a decade after David was born, Samuel the priest, prophet, and judge from the tribe of Levi, anointed David to reign as king over the Israelites, according to the will of the Lord God. David served as a musician and an armor-bearer for Saul, and killed Goliath the gigantic Philistine, and made a covenant with Jonathan, Saul's son, and married Saul's daughter Michal. After David fled from home to avoid being killed by Saul, David went to Samuel and Jonathan before arriving at Nob without any food or weapons. Ahimelech the priest gave David the consecrated bread that was only to be eaten by the priests, according to the command of the Lord God. Moreover,  Ahimelech gave David the sword that belonged to Goliath. After Saul's self-inflicted death on the battlefield, 30-year-old David began to reign only over the tribe of Judah. Saul's son Ishbosheth (Eshbaal) reigned over the other Israelite tribes. After Ishbosheth was murdered, 37 1/2-year-old David began to reign over all of the Israelites. Over 900 years after 70-year-old David died, and Solomon, the 2nd son born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king reigning over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. The Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus, and the Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. For 40 days Jesus fasted and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites.  Jesus used the examples of the bread given and the necessary duties of the priests in a message he revealed to a group of Pharisees.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus 24:5-9, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 23:25, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-11:43, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 8:1-40, 9:35-29:30, 2 Chronicles 1:1-9:31, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
