...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Vow to Kapow

And when king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south, heard tell that Israel came by the way of the spies; then he fought against Israel, and took some of them prisoners. And Israel vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou wilt indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities. And the LORD hearkened to the voice of Israel, and delivered up the Canaanites; and they utterly destroyed them and their cities: and he called the name of the place Hormah.-Numbers 21:1-3***During the beginning of their journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, the slowest and most tired walkers among the Israelites were ambushed by the Amalekites. Afterwards, the Lord God gave the Israelites, his treasured and chosen people, the victory over the Amalekites. The next year, the Amalekites and some Canaanites defeated the Israelites, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the disobedience of the Israelites. When Moses and his fellow Israelites wanted to pass through an area inhabited by the Edomites, the Edomites refused to allow the Israelites to enter and the Edomites gathered to fight. A battle did not ensue, however, according to the command that the Lord God gave to Moses for the Israelites. The Israelites descended from Noah the ark builder, Noah's son Shem, Shem's son Arphaxad, Arphaxad's great-great-great-great-great-grandson Terah, Terah's children Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), their son Isaac and his wife Rebekah, Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel) and his wives Leah and Rachel and maidservants Bilhah and Zilpah, and the 12 sons born to Jacob, his wives and maidservants. The Edomites descended from Isaac and Rebekah's oldest fraternal twin son Esau (Edom), Jacob's older brother. One group of Amalekites descended from Esaus's grandson Amalek. The Canaanites descended from Noah's son Ham and Ham's son Canaan. During the 40th year of their journey to the Promised Land, 120-year-old Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Over 1,300 years after Jacob died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 13:1-14:45, 20:1-21:35, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 23:1-8, 25:17-19, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Chronicles 1:1-2:17, 3:1-24, 6:1-71, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
