Just Obedience

Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine. So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley: and I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days, thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee. For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim: afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.-Hosea 3:1-5***King Uzziah (Azariah) was the 9th king to rule Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land. Uzziah's son Jotham was the 10th king to rule Judah. Jotham's son Ahaz was the 11th king to reign. Ahaz's son Hezekiah was the 12th king to rule Judah. King Joash (Jehoash) was the 12th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel in the Promised Land. Joash's son Jeroboam was the 13th king to rule the northern nation. When Jeroboam was reigning in Samaria over the northern nation of Israel, and Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah successively reigned in Jerusalem over Judah, Hosea the prophet received commands and revelations from the Lord God. The Lord God gave Hosea revelations, and words of warning, and descriptions of the future for the Israelites, the treasured  and chosen  people of the Lord  

God. After Hosea married Gomer, their children Jezreel, Lo-ruhamah and Lo-ammi were born. The Lord God gave Hosea the name for each child, and Hosea received another specific command from the Lord God regarding Gomer, a harlot. King Pekah was the 18th king to rule over all of the Isralites in the northern nation of Israel. During Pekah's reign, the Assyrians invaded the kingdom and King Tiglath-pileser, ruler of Assyria, began taking Israelites to Assyria. During the reign of King Hoshea, the 19th king to rule the northern nation, the Assyrians conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Hezekiah's great-great-grandson Jehoiakim (Eliakim) was the 17th king to rule Judah. During Jehoiakim's reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah and Jerusalem and King Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of Babylon, began looting the temple of the Lord. During the reign of Jehoiakim's son King Jehoiachin (Jeconiah/Coniah), the 18th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians began taking Israelites to Babylon. During the reign of Jehoiakim's brother King Zedekiah (Mattaniah), the 19th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israleites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born.
