More Plus More Because of the Lord

Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only. And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus. And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord. Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch. Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord. For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord. Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul: And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.-Acts 11:19-26***Stephen was an Israelite and believed Jesus, who had been betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven, to be the Christ, the Son of God. Stephen had a reputation of good report, and was full of faith, the Holy Spirit, wisdom, grace, and power. When Stephen was being interrogated, Israelites from at least 1 synagogue brought false witnesses against Stephen. Afterwards, Stephen addressed the accusations by recounting the history of the Israelites and their relationship to the Lord God. Stephen spoke to his fellow Israelites and described the divine sight he was witnessing. The Israelites took Stephen out of the city and stoned him to death while Paul (Saul), an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, guarded the garments of those stoning Stephen. Barnabas was an Israelite from Cyprus, and believed Jesus to be the Christ of God, and was an apostle of Jesus the Christ. While Barnabas was living his life in Christ Jesus, Paul was persecuting and imprisoning Israelites throughout Jerusalem who called upon the name of Jesus. When Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus, Syria, to find, bind, and take to Jerusalem any Israelite believers he found, Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them. Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, and Paul spoke to Jesus and obeyed Jesus. In Damascus, Paul was baptized. From thenceforward, Paul the apostle journeyed and wrote divinely inspired letters, teaching Israelites and Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes, the good news of Jesus the Christ and everlasting life. In Jerusalem years thereafter, the disciples and apostles of Jesus did not believe that Paul accepted Christ Jesus as Lord. The words Moses spoke to his fellow Israelites after

Moses described blessings and curses to them, and

 before Moses went upon Mount Nebo, and the

 Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, 

and Moses died and was divinely buried:

And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee, And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee. Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which were carried away captives, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon; (After that Jeconiah the king, and the queen, and the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the carpenters, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem;) By the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent unto Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon) saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon; Build ye houses, and dwell in them: and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them; Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished. -were forced to serve King Chushan-rishathaim of Mesopotamia (Aram Naharaim).

-were forced to serve Eglon, king of the Moabites.

-were oppressed by King Jabin, a Canaanite ruler.

-were conquered on the east side of the Jordan River by King Hazael and were oppressed on the west side of the Jordan River, in the northern kingdom of Israel, by King Hazael and his son and successor King Ben-hadad of Syria.

-were taken captive from the east side of the Jordan River and throughout some of the northern kingdom of Israel in the Promised Land by King Tiglath-pileser of Assyria.

-were completely conquered in Samaria, the royal city of the northern nation of Israel in the Promised Land, and many Israelites were taken captive to Assyria.

-were carried into captivity by King Nebuchadnezzar and his Babylonian (Chaldean) army after the Babylonians invaded Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land, and conquered Jerusalem, the royal city.

-began returning to Judah and Jerusalem less than 70 years after Jerusalem was conquered. 

Notably, many of the ancestors of the Israelites, including Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), Isaac and Jacob (Israel), and many of their descendants, including King David, the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, are among those listed in the biblical genealogies of Jesus the Christ, the Son of God.

If thou wilt send our brother with us, we will go down and buy thee food: But if thou wilt not send him, we will not go down: for the man said unto us, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you. And Israel said, Wherefore dealt ye so ill with me, as to tell the man whether ye had yet a brother? And they said, The man asked us straitly of our state, and of our kindred, saying, Is your father yet alive? have ye another brother? and we told him according to the tenor of these words: could we certainly know that he would say, Bring your brother down? If I be bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.-Genesis 43:1-14***Judah was the 4th son born to Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah. Over 800 years before their descendants King David and his son Absalom were having a conversation, with Absalom wanting his brothers and David to join him and his sheepshearers in another part of the kingdom in  Canaan, the Promised Land, Judah was having a conversation with 8 of his brothers and Jacob. When Absalom was speaking convincingly to David, Absalom actually only wanted his half brother Amnon to make the journey so that Amnon could be killed for raping Absalom's sister and Amnon's half sister Tamar. When Judah was speaking convincingly to Jacob, Judah wanted to return to Egypt, prove that he and his brothers were not spies, get corn (grain) for their families, get his brother Simeon released from prison in Egypt, and return safely to Canaan with his brothers, including Benjamin, the 2nd and last son born to Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel. Over 20 years before Judah was speaking convincingly to Jacob, Judah and his brothers had led Jacob to believe that their brother Joseph, Jacob's favorite son, was killed by a beast. However, Joseph had actually been sold by Judah and his brothers to merchants traveling to Egypt. In Egypt, the merchants sold Joseph to Potiphar, an Egyptian officer under the authority of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. Joseph was imprisoned after Potiphar's wife made a false accusation, and Joseph eventually became second-in-command in Egypt. Joseph was the person Judah and his brothers spoke to when they initially went to Egypt to buy corn. Over 1,800 years after 130-year-old Jacob moved with his children and their families from Canaan to Egypt, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. When Jesus was among his disciples and a multitude of other listeners, the disciples told Jesus to send the multitude away to buy food for themselves. Joyful, Rejoiced and Joyed

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man. I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die and live with you. Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.  For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears. When Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus, Syria, to find, bind and take to Jerusalem any Israelite believers he found, Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them. Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, and Paul spoke to Jesus, and obeyed Jesus. In Damascus, Paul was baptized. From thenceforward, Paul the apostle journeyed and taught Israelites and Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes, the good news of Jesus the Christ and everlasting life. Titus was a Gentile. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal no details about the initial meeting between Paul and Titus, and no details about Titus's previous religious beliefs. However, the Scriptures reveal that Titus was concerned for the Corinthian believers, and Titus carried and received messages for Paul. And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baal-hazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king's sons. After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias. And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased. And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples. And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh. When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do. Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little. One of his disciples Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him, There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many? And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was mush grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten. The Lord God described to Moses the actions necessary for the Israelites to be the treasured people of the Lord God. Moses told the Israelites that after they began living upon the Promised Land and wanted a king over them similar to the kingships of nations nearby, they were only to set an Israelite as king over them. Moses explained that the Israelite who reigned as king must follow specific commands, according to the will of the Lord God. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, was from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and his 2nd wife Rachel, their firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants, according to the command of the Lord God. Over 300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, the Israelite elders told Samuel, the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi, the birth tribe of Aaron and Moses, to set a king over them. Levi was the 3rd son born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah. After hearing the words spoken by the elders, Samuel prayed to the Lord God and followed the commands of the Lord God. Samuel told the Israelites about the actions the king would take, and Samuel anointed Saul, from the tribe of Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin, to reign as king, according to the command of the Lord God. Sometime thereafter, Samuel spoke to the Israelites of the fear that had led them to want a king even though the Lord God reigned as king over the Israelites. David, from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah, was the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land. Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to reign. After Solomon married 700 idol worshiping princesses and was old, Solomon became an idol worshiper. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city and Jeroboam was the 1st king to reign. Less than 200 years after Jeroboam's son Nadab became the 2nd king to rule the northern nation of Israel, the Assyrians invaded the kingdom and conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. During the reign of Rehoboam's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Zedekiah (Mattaniah), the 19th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah, the tribe of David, Solomon and all of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that some Israelites determined Jesus should reign as king.
