...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

All in Together

And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that aught of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, and laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.-Acts 4:32-36***Barnabas (Joses) was an Israelite from the tribe of Levi, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. Paul (Saul) was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. Barnabas was a landowner. Paul was a Pharisee. Paul persecuted and imprisoned Israelites who believed Jesus, who had been crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven, to be the Christ, the Son of God. When other property owners were selling their homes and land and permitting the proceeds to be shared with fellow believers, Barnabas sold his land and submitted the money. When a group of Israelites was stoning an Israelite believer named Stephen to death, Paul kept watch over the assailants' garments. When Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus in Syria to find, bind and take to Jerusalem any Israelite believers he found, Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them. Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him. Paul spoke to Jesus, and obeyed Jesus, and in Damascus Paul was baptized. After Barnabas met Paul, Barnabas helped other Israelite believers recognize Paul's new life in Christ Jesus. Sometime thereafter, Paul helped Barnabas, Simon Peter and others understand that for all believers every action of their life in Christ Jesus must be lived by faith.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 8:1-40, 9:35-44, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, 1 Corinthians 9:1-27, Galatians 1:1-2:21, Colossians 4:1-18
